In theory the waterfall *could be a non-spewing geyser… where the water flows in down low, then boils over lava deep down and shoots up through the core of the mountain, cooling off as it rises, returning to a liquid state as it finally crests the flow zone… but if so then that water would likely be rather warm and very nutrient rich, making the surrounding stone all covered in algae, lichen, and plant growth…

He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy.

one thing I picked up on in my intro geology class elective was that diorite and andesite have approximately the same mineral and silica content, the main difference is grain size, if it cooled fast (extrusive, possibly ejected out of a volcano) it will have larger grains and be closer to diorite, and if it cooled slowly (intrusive, likely magma trapped in the earths crust) it will have smaller grains and be closer to andesite. andesite, diorite, granite (and even basalt) are all igneous rocks meaning they formed from cooling magma.

      Hmm.
Cleo: A Minecraft RUclipsr and content creator. Was also a teacher once, though not at a prestigious academy.
Katherine: A working geologist, working with a university to study the field of geology. Has gone on many geological expeditions to study Himalayan topography, geology, geography, etc.
Not much of a comparison, is it?
Edit: Please stop trying to inform me that Cleo was a geologist. The original comment, the one in which this is a reply to, clearly states "Given that Cleo is a geologist..." And so, I have come here assuming that such a detail would be a triviality, and no one would need to make mention of it. However, that was apparently not correct. So I will speak plainly: I know that Cleo was a geologist. But she is no longer working. My comparison still stands whether or not Cleo was a geologist.

Lots of people can stand there and spew facts, dry and uninteresting. I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
Lots of people can be engaging but ultimately accomplish little other than entertain your time away. Which is fine, when that's what you want.
A good lecturer takes the best of both. This is what you want in an educator.

I feel like this is the kind of way that new people can interact and learn about topics that are usually thought of as uninteresting or too complex for newer minds. You should definitely do more with different professionals

Could you do another collab with Catherine, showcasing samples of all the different rock and mineral types in Minecraft?
    What is Tuff?
What would the closest real-world rock be to Netherack?
Can Geodes really grow big enough to stand inside?
Can lava and water make Obsidian?
Does Diorite really look like bird poop?
From the comments: What kind of stone, is "Stone"?
It'd be really good to see some of this stuff, and get people interested in it all. My uncle is a Geologist, and my mum is a retired Geography teacher. We have small samples of lots of different rocks, metals, and minerals, including Quartz, Amethyst Geode, Obsidian, Gold. It's really interesting stuff, and it can actually give inspiration for builds, just to handle the stuff.

Tuff is actually a real rock, you can find images of it in the internet.
Lava and water does make obsidian, but it has to be very fluid lava, and I don't think water is actually required make it, it's just when it cools down, but since lava in minecraft doesn't cool down, they used water to do that. I'm not an expert, but I heard things here and there.

I can see a series growing here where one can cover not only different kinds of landscapes and caves, but l'aube architects for modern builds, historians for castles or Victorian architecture, just to name a few of the top of my scar-made hat.
