I'm just surprised Kiernan Shipka is not in more movies. Totally love her. Can't wait for this one. She should definitely be involved in the horror genre.
She is terrible. Hated her on Mad Men, but she got a pass because she was young. Then Sabrina happened and it was like, no, she just sucks at acting. This trailer is the first time I've seen her remotely believable.

This was a cool movie. As an 80s refugee myself there was a lot of nostalgia. A genZ takes her neuroses back to the 80s. Makes me realise how much better people were back then. However, I can overlook this because the film was a lot of fun and I really liked the protaganist! 😎
80s were an awesome decade, awesome to the max! That stuff should totally be brought back, except for the homophobia, and the bullying. Good part of my life back then was just like a John Hughs movie

This could be fun. Looks like it might be the best Blumhouse movie Prime has acquired (out of the past 8 - Although, The Manor was ok). Will definitely check it out.
So they’re just taking Groundhog Day, Freaky Friday and now Back to the Future and putting a comedic horror spin on them. I wonder which movie will be next to get this treatment?

Definitely, with it being self-aware, somewhat comedic, and having the mother-daughter plot. I enjoyed The Final Girls and I have a feeling I'll enjoy this.
Watch The Final Girls if you want to see this concept done. I don't understand Blumhouse. They say they can't justify making Happy Death Day 3, so they go and make another time traveling 80's slasher send up that steals the entire plot/concept of another movie.
The thing about _The Final Girls_ is that the protagonist didn't travel back in time to meet a younger version of her (still alive in the present) mom. Instead, she magically entered a movie where her deceased mom had a role.

This movie is a blast. Kiernan Shipka is so cute and funny, the casting of the young/old versions of the characters were so accurate and well done, it was wholesome, fun, engaging, and a perfect October watch.
Funny enough Mckenna played a younger version of Kiernan on her show Chilling adventures of Sabrina on netflix lol so yes the similarities are definitely there
This looks great! The only issue I had with the trailer was when the daughter said, "Your friends were murdered 35 years ago." off-camera, as it showed pics of the victims. But the daughter's and mom's voiced sound so similar, I thought it was the mother who said it, which would put Kiernan Shipka's character in her 50s, and her mom at least in her 70s. So I watched the entire trailer thinking that they didn't even try to make the daughter look even remotely older than she is, and did a terrible job making the mom look like she's in her 70s. Now that I've watched it again, it makes complete sense and is definitely a movie I want to watch.
