Installed this antenna and got 60 channels 50 miles away. Half were Chinese channels 😂, but got everything I was looking for. Thank you again 😊. Weird thing was that i had it on the ground hooked up looking opposite direction and other side of house and all the channels were still coming in clear ...

You’re welcome. What TV market are you in?

@NorthcoasterHobby I installed it in George West, Texas and aimed the antenna to Corpus Christi, Texas.

Great video. That little tool is great but doesn’t fit over my R11 cables and fitting ends. But I guess a lot of people don’t overkill their wire runs with R11 like I do?

I had my electrician pre-wire RG6 in my single story cabin from the TV location up to the attic, where I plan to put the antenna. Is it better to place the power supply in the Attic next to antenna or downstairs by the TV? In other words, is it better to have the longer run of RG6 between power supply and antenna or between antenna and TV? Thanks in advance!

The cable run between the power supply back to the antenna won’t bother the signal. Place the power supply somewhere in a climate controlled part of the home where it can be plugged into an outlet without an extension cord. The voltage for the preamp will be supplied through the coax cable.

I was debating between the 4 Max vs this particular antenna on which would capture a wider swath of TV station receptions.

I don’t think you’ll regret this antenna. Are you aiming at 2 markets, or are the broadcaster towers in 2 directions? Here’s my review of the Ellipse Mix:

And for what it’s worth my review of the Clearstream 1Max:

I would also add that the gain pattern of the Ellipse Mix is wider on the VHF band and more directional on the UHF band. Generally, I think most antennas follow this type of gain pattern.

Might be just my view angle, but the engineering seems very smart and tight. I don't always see this on complementary brands.

I bought one of these but I was hoping I could take it apart again to put back in the box for awhile, but I can't seem to figure out a way to get the front 2 snap in elements back off without possibly breaking the orange plastic shell apart somehow. Any insight?

Honestly I would not try taking it apart. There are two spring-loaded metal clips that the elements snap into. Plus the plastic housing has fins to keep the element in place. There is too much of a risk breaking something. You would have to be extremely careful but I wouldn’t recommend taking it apart.
