From stealing my brother’s iPod back then and listening to absolute legends from Linkin Park, Evanescence, Korn, Gorillaz and the ones who stood out most, HIM. The man has captivated me as a kid and it still does now. It’s such a nostalgic feeling whenever I listen to him, the man has such a beautiful voice with such a right amount of metal to compliment his singing his music just never gets old. HIM and Ville will always hold a special place in my memories and heart god dammit and I’d love to see you guys react to more of his music

I don’t know how I’m so late to this!! But I’m so stoked to see Ville back. HIM were the most important band in my early teen years helping me through so much and to believe i was bullied in the early stages of high school for listening to that band, its a shame those small minded people couldn’t open up and take in such incredible music. Hearing his voice again on new tracks made me realise how much I appreciate this man, HIM and all his future work. As someone else said, it’s like coming home after so long!

Long time HIM fan since '05. Loved and their original old stuff especially. Definitely some Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights in there. Felt some Screamworks in there too. So many memories. They too got me thru some serious dark times. Once I got rid of those people in my like I could enjoy the music for what it is. His writing is brilliant. He can take the simplest thought or feeling and sing about it in the most complicated or round about way. His lyrics make you think and even make you have to research to understand all the references he's pulling from. I have several tattoos of them as well, as a daily reminder that no matter how bad things can get, there is something better waiting. This song is amazing and can't wait to hear more.
I was fortunate enough to see HIM back in 2005 in Houston and was so bummed out when they split a few years ago. It is so exciting that he is back with new songs! The tickets for the US tour went on sale yesterday and we definitely got ours for the San Antonio show 😎👍

A wonderful piece Loveletting is, and Neon Noir is a beautiful album. Ville is an amazing musician and a very nice man to meet in person. I won't elaborate fully on my experience of meeting Ville and all the guys, as it is personal, but I will say that the music that we all get to enjoy from Ville and all the years of HIM, are what shape people into who we are today. Music makes a tremendous impact on one's life. I was a Band Promoter for HIM, and to really understand each piece of VV and HIM goes deep into the archives of material including rare tracks all the way back to 1991, the year Ville and Mige formed His Infernal Majesty. Glad you both enjoy VV. Mat, if you get the chance.....take Chels back to those early years of HIM... Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights. That album has a very specific meaning. Some of the rare pieces might be released through the 3rd copy, meaning remastered a third time or distribution as some older labels have discontinued the remasters. Discog may have the first editions, though I know the first editions can be hard to find brand new. Lots of surprises of adventure into HIM's material. You both might enjoy Dark Secret Love. That originally was released in a box collection of covers and original music that wasn't featured on the first three albums from HIM.

I had tix to the farewell tour stop in Charlotte and couldn't make it. I was devastated. When I got the email over a week ago about the new single and tour, after I picked myself back up off the floor, I bought tix to the Charlotte show next May. Just like you and others have said...it's like a giant missing piece from our past has been given to us again.

Yes, it's a pop song, very catchy and suitable for the masses. When it comes to selling his music, that's not clumsy. In my opinion, the song gains with more frequent listening, the instrumentalization is already terrific.
The only vocal comparison that can be made between Corey and Ville are their covers of Wicked Game. If you listen to them back to back neither performers vocals sound “weak” and I would honestly choose Ville’s vocals over Corey’s. If you want a song to really experience this man’s powerful vocals then I recommend HIM - Sleepwalking Past Hope.
