Anyone leaving Justin like driftwood on the shore would need to have their head examined. Lol. Justin is so talented in that his songs reach deep down into one's heart. The older one gets, the faster time seems to fly, and if you are not careful, time will leave you behind, because you are moving slower because you are getting older. Because my hubby and I are getting older, this song has more meaning, and we live in the moment of that time, and we do not take our love for granted. We keep up with time by expressing to each other that we love each other. Time will not escape us to where we have regrets that we did not say "I love you," or wished we hugged more, or kissed with feeling and not some little peck on the lips, or enjoy each other's company, etc. We are not going to let time pass us by and then have regrets when one passes. We have been married 49 years, and because time waits for no one, we move with time by expressing and showing our love each day. This is what Driftwood means to me at this stage of my life. There are so many songs to listen to from the Moodies, that I have not listened to Driftwood for a good while now. So listening to Justin sing this song, makes me realize that we are keeping up with time and not taking anything for granted.

I agree with you. Any woman who left Justin is just plain crazy 😜. Driftwood is really a beautiful song though. I watch it on RUclips with Justin and his former Moody Blues band member John Lodge singing it. It’s great with Justin singing by himself too of course.
Im drifting with Driftwood, one of the most beautiful songs ever written, a classy song with a soft flowing contempory feel to it, with a slight lean to jazz, especially with the sax in the original recordings, love this acoustic live version. 💕 but miss your heart pulling lead guitar in the original recording. 🎸

Well thats a lie, even straight men commented at Moody Blues Concerts that all of them looked like they needed walkers except for the timeless Justin Hayward. He is finally starting to look his age, gorgeous.... I see he still loves his Henry the eighth blousy shirts. I wonder if he is still living in King Henry;s tac house?
I call them Romeo shirts. In his earlier days, he wore them a lot. I bought my husband, then boyfriend back in 1970, a Romeo shirt. He looked hot in it and actually looked like Leonard Whiting (even other girls told my then boyfriend this, but I would not) who played Romeo back in 1968 or 69. He was a great Romeo.
