We take a look at the Rlaarlo Omni-Terminator Carbon Fiber, a 1/12 4wd Monster Truck. Let's take a closer look at the truck and see how it performs!

That's our track... lol
We go there every Friday and my friends are the ones who Laid all that carpet and the plastic pipe down....... Glad to see people using it 🙌🏽 😌 👌 🙏🏼
I live in the area, I’ve been there a couple of times now. Thanks for doing that!!!! I’m definitely going to be there this weekend for a little bit of a Father’s Day bash!
Nice, yeah I've probably met your friends over the years.
Thats cool!
I just got the carbon version for $200 with one day shipping it arrives tomorrow!
The biggest difference other than the motor / esc are the drive train components, spiral cut gears and stronger diffs
@williamperri3437 the carbon version is by far better due to more powerful electronics and better gearing in the drivetrain. I have both aluminum and carbon trucks and they both are awesome but the extra power and better spiral cut gears are worth the extra cost.
I just picked up the Black one and I’m quite impressed at performance and handling.
Reduced the spin-out by reducing the toe out when front suspension is compressed . Has more than enough power. 👍🏼
Hi mate I got the Rlaarlo omni terminator RZ001B-C and I've had nothing but problems with the electronics. I've replaced motor with 3652 3100kv esc with a 120amp hobbywing and controller GT5 gyro. And Louise Mt cyclone wheels. And now it's a backflip Skatepark machine. Great video mate 👍 👌 👏 🤣🤣
Looks like taking the Terminator to the mountains was a fantastic choice! Awesome video! Just be careful not to drive it off a cliff, lol! 😄🚗🏔
🤣
Rlaarlo, can you send me a Omni Terminator Carbon? MJX have not been treating me well! LOL 😂
I am a proud customer of an Omni terminator. I made a video of my example doing a backflip off a ramp.
We just got ours this past weekend, she’s been a ripper so far no issues, my 8 and 6 year old love it!! I lock the controller so they can’t get too wild with it yet and it’s perfect for them and when I want to rip unlock and 100% it and man she’s a little ripper in the dirt!! Great video!!! Think I’m going to try the pinion swap this week 🤘🏻
Awesome video, I honestly just ordered one yesterday for my boys. They are 6 and 8 and they run my granite well but they just can’t figure out how to use the slipper clutch to handle. I was hoping this with the center diff would maybe be a bit easier for them to get the hang of. What are your thoughts? I bought the carbon edition
@Razor RC which would you buy if you had the choice Omni terminator or rog 1 ?
Ive been ripping mine, i love it. Added a couple of the rlaarlo upgrades and a 120a hobbywing esc. Such good value for money. My only big gripe is the 1.5 hexs rlaarlo use and some of the smaller screws can be a little soft. Good to replace with some stronger 2 hex ones
I've seen this version on Amazon already marked down to $212. That's a crazy good deal for this rig. I like mine a lot and aside from not reading the instructions on how to work the radio functions I've not had any issue since day one.
Does anyone know how to turn the lights on? All I've found I'd a button that makes them come on by only while you hold the button. Also the gyro went nuts when i turned it on. I'm pretty sure that was something i did tho.
Hey Razor! Love the videos. What is your pick for a basher with really good landing absorption (aka least amount of bounce on landings) in the 1/16 to 1/12 range? I know the Omni terminator has good shocks. Other cars I’m looking at include the ROG1, LC Racing EMBT, arrma Grom, and possibly an HBX 1/12.
Great video, one question: in the adds for this RC, it does not show/say anything about a motor fan?
Did yours come with one, or did you install it?
Thank you
For someone on a budget is this a good Basher? I was thinking about the mt10 but it’s going to take a little bit more saving
I wish they would throw 1/8 scale shocks on little bashing trucks make them not slap so hard on landings. Seems a little front heavy.
The suspension is perfect for landing jumps, but you're right it nose dives a fair amount.
@@RazorRCHi, could someone please help me. How does this compare to the Deerc Velocity or ZZL Beast Max. Thanks
Looks like a good preforming truck!
I think if you want to hit bigger jumps it still needs more power to prevent it from nose diving. And you have to really get the feel of you want to jump it I’m getting better but my first attempts where like yours & nose dived. But it’s touchy in the air too much throttle & the front goes way up not enough & you nose dive. It’s super fun & actually a good size to take out whenever you want but once you get a feel is when you really start having fun.
Awesome truck. It did great on both surfaces. You really got in the groove on the carpeted track. Nice clean jumps and turns. 🏆👍🏁
Thanks 👍
Are you going to be able to go back to the regular bash spot after getting kicked out?
Do you prefer this over the ROG1?
How do you fix the front end dive when you jump the truck i have the aluminum version and it nose dive like crazy
These things are worth the money bro… I run mine on 4s😳… haven’t had any issues
Wow...!
Stock electronics?
@@chrisperrywv yessir. I went to thicker power wires, ic5 , and a powerful fan. It runs like a top on 4s … it rips like you wouldn’t believe! I ran it totally stock on 4 s with no problems but if you ran it hard nonstop it would heat up a bit… nothing thermonuclear or anything, just to warm for my liking. That’s why I did the wiring
@@RC-Closer1313 that’s sick! I have one on order - but it’s been 3 days and it still hasn’t shipped from Amazon… I wasn’t excepting that. I’m brand new to hobby RC’s other than my 1/24 crawler and years ago I had a 1/36 scale Losi. Can’t wait to bash.
@@chrisperrywv you picked a good one to get back in with 🤙🏻
Hey Razor! I ended up getting one of these carbon editions. Any chance you will make a razor tuning guide for this? Thank you!
no plans, it drives really well out of the box
I know you're skeptical about the drivetrain but just not enough power for the plastic diff cases to be an issue (not even with brushless). A bigger concern, in my mind, is that brushed motor. Really pushing it to its limits with the size and weight of this I know price always plays a part but don't see many of these staying brushed?
Been a huge fan of these since release date. But grams per dollar it is hard to find more fun.
Hi, could you help me please. How does this compare to the Deerc Velocity or ZZL Beast Max. Thanks
This vs savage flux xs ?
as good as before!
Better! The bigger motor definitely suits it more.
It seems to really nose dive?....is that drag brake maybe?...or just the way it is?
It's the drag brake, which can't really be adjusted which is disappointing but not an issue if you stay on the throttle. You can adjust the drive center point on the remote to help reduce the drag brake some as well
Went with a cheap hobby wing 10bl120 4s thing is a monster now and jumps way better without the drag break
I'm looking to replace my (terrible handling) hypergo 14210. How does this rlaarlo compare to the rival mt10? And are there any other cars i should consider?
You need to decide what scale you want to go with first. The MT10 and Rlaarlo are two different classes/sizes for different terrain.
@@RazorRC Thank you so much for your comment. I don't think I really have a preference for a size as long as it is larger than the HyperGo (1/14) and not larger than 1/10 scale. I am looking for an all-round car that performs reasonably well on the street, grass, off-road or a small BMX park. What is very important to me is that the car handles well.
The HypergGo was my first RC and I am really disappointed with it, it has a strong tendency to flip over and there is just too much delay in the ESC. Replacing the transmitter/receiver, upgrading steering components and adding a gyro did not help enough, nor did wider tires and spacers help. I've just spend to much time and money on trying to make it handle somewhat decent (which it still doesn't). It's fairly frustrating. Now I just want a car that is decent straight out of the box.
@@MrSjirafjei have the same situation here. The 14210 Is a Rocket but steering and handling=😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
@Lukas_911 I have kind of given up on my 14210. I will not be putting any more money into it. I think the new Arrma Vorteks 223 looks to be a very promising all-rounder. I'm still waiting on a few more reviews. To bad they went with a 2 in 1 receiver esc combo though.
The diffs are also better.
Idk, meh. You can get a Corally Syncro 4 right now for 80 bucks more and no tax. Different type of vehicle but still a basher.
That's a good buggy, but it should be $369.
@@RazorRC rchobbyexplosion typically has $40 off with code 40off350
I managed to get mine on a lightning deal for 212+tax on amazon but syncro is definitely an awesome deal with coupon and no tax.
Think I'm gonna buy the carbon over the ROG1
