Ben Ludeman opened Ben’s Western Wear in 1946. He died in 1978 and his nephew Stewart Martin purchased it. There are some cowboy hats of famous singers including George Strait. This is a enjoyable store to visit.
i was there years ago, those folks are great people. I enjoyed the hats on the wall, and some of the stories that wént with them, especially the Strait stories.
I saw my husband's twin Leo Rocha's hat there. And they mentioned my husband's grandpa's name Lolo Gonzales. I don't know if they still have my tío Onofre Zamora's there too*;0)
My Home Town. I miss that place. Grandma and Grandpa use to buy my jeans and boots at Ben's. God Bless Cotulla, Texas
