- Happy Mothers day to all mothers out there.
this week the list of work that we had to do was left a little incomplete we didn't get around to planting onions, lettuce and cabbage, we also didn't clean the church but, all is well we'll get it next week.
we are happy that at least we got cleaning kitchen and raspberries out of the way two jobs that are not that pleasurable to do.

I would definitely watch a long Q&A with you. I find myself wanting a more in depth" tour" of the colony too. I find this way of life inspiring and wish more of us would work together as you all do. My church is very giving, is my home. I find that the spirit is there and we love one another for sure but I can feel a kinship with your community that I can't quite explain.

@@gisellewaldner9406, I have binged watched your vlogs and have loved every one of them! Tonight, I thought of something you might be interested in trying. I notice you sometimes take the opportunity to answer a question or questions your viewers have previously asked during a rest break or quieter time. It might be helpful to keep a log of the video (#, name, date posted) and question you answer then when you get a repeat question you could refer them to which vlog to watch. This would get them the answer quickly and would build your viewership 👍🏼

Thank you for sharing so many aspects of your life. I love how God centred your lives are, and not legalistic. It looks like you have so much freedom of choice (internet, books etc) which I wrongly assumed you wouldn't have. I am so thankful you have shared so much and helped me to understand more of your culture that I knew nothing about. You are just so sweet and blessed to live in such a love and caring community. I think many of us wish we had more of that.

Sometimes people are presssed for time and want to zip by the babbling brooks, and coffee pours in order to learn more about you and your lifestyle. If I am short on time I just speed up and stop when I see you sitting in front of the camera. I love learning about different people, how they live their faith and their lifestyles.

That do get big on the farm can't control size.
So much farm produce that could be eaten is thrown away because they don't fit the consumer's idea of perfect! I'm so glad that someone is using these products!
@@sortathesame8701 I wouldn’t have a problem eating big produce, I’ve just never seen it and I go to local Farmer’s Markets all the time.
We take everything no matter the size or if it's imperfect.....the past couple years quite a few of our produce has been huge tomatoes and peppers especially
At the carrot farms in Michigan were I was from no carrot went to waste they went to the cannery or sold as stock feed ( the broken ones) we would get a 50 pound bag of broken ones and cut them up and can them

The women are doing a lot of cleaning and chores and all the cooking. It's nice to see these kinds of activities.

It's always so much more fun to clean with help. Our church used to put on banquets for 500 church members and community leaders at Christmas. Even though the work and clean up was exhausting it was a joy and a blessing to labor with the Brotherhood. It made for great memories.
Oh yes doing it together with everyone actually even makes it joyful and it doesn't take as long 😊

Giselle, I have 4 natural children and 3 step children. Those children have provided me with ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. But...I have room in my heart for one more , if you want to be adopted! Believe me I have enough time to boss those around pretty good, trying to keep them straight! I know you don’t really want to leave your own sweet mama, so I will adopt you from a far and tell you to wear gloves, or boots, or whatever is required.

For those steel "amish" clothelines that you dont put things on due to sagging you can actually get connectors that go between the top and bottom line and hold them together to prevent sagging you can get as many as you want and they can be moved anywhere you want.
While as an aussie i love seeing the hillshoist ive always wanted an amish style one so i dont have to bend or reach.
Also the hillshoist can be wound up and down so you can wind the line to waist or shoulder height pop everything on and then wind it to its highest point to dry.
Im sure you know these already but yeah figured id pop it in.
The hillshoist wires can also be tightened and it can fold closed like an umbrella when not in use to protect it or save space etc
I would love to have all those laundry lines. I live in a condominium and had a few small lines hung but the just redid our decks and I lost half the size of my deck. Not happy I won’t be able to hang things out to dry anymore

I only found your channel 2 weeks ago and I think I have almost watched all your videos, you are more amazing than you know, I feel like sometimes you think you don’t have enough interesting content, BUT you do, you have actually inspired me in a way I did not expect, you are not a complainer and you work so hard you may not think so but you do, I think it is just a way of life for you, and just watching your day to day activity with joy in everything you do I just started cleaning my house like crazy and I am actually having fun doing it. Lastly you said you were not baptized and you get baptized, “When you are ready to honor your commitment with God”. What is “the commitment” and “what is stopping you”?

I was wondering if you use public libraries at all. Regarding actual printed books, that might not work if your colony is nowhere near a library, but you could still check out e-books.

If you have produce leftover from last year when you harvest what do you do with it? Why do you use snaps on your clothes? Where do you get the snaps? I really like them. Have a great week 💚
We plant our garlic late in the year and harvest in summer but that's about it we don't have anything else. As for the snaps I'll have to ask our ladies that are in charge of the fabric take care of that

It's good to wear sunglasses anytime you're in the sun as your eyes can develop cataracts from too much sun exposure. It's not vanity at all. 🕶 😎

If your fair skin with blue or light colored eyes more sensitive to light. I even wear sunglasses on cloudy days to protect my eyes. 😎
The squash looked great! May I ask how disputes or conflicts are resolved? I am guessing it is inevitable that small disagreements will arise as we are all human. Does local law enforcement have jurisdiction in the colony? Excellent videos and keep up the great work young lady.
I can answer the jurisdiction part... before retiring from policing years ago ....I got a 911 call to our local colony. It was was completely unexpected as we never ever got calls there. I went and found someone who seemed just as curious of me as I was of this colony ... turns out that that day in school the children learned about 911.... one little sweetheart tried it and it worked ... I think she was more scared than anything but i reassured her that I was there because she dialled 911 and I had her promise me she would make sure she would tell her classmates what happened and to only ever use it if it’s an emergency. I made a little friend that day.
Oh yes there are disagreements our life is not perfect but we do try our best. Yeah if we need them then the law enforcement is going to be at our place.
But we have had the ae kind of incident a young child called and the police showed up I remembered being terrified when I heard about it I was still so young

I don't think I've ever seen a RUclipsr so focused on interacting with the viewers (and in your case, fans!). I think that's pretty awesome! And I don't generally watch those long rambling Q&A videos where they are usually focused on announcing who has given them money. HOWEVER, I would watch YOUR Q&A in a heartbeat no matter how long it was. Because you're genuinely sharing with your audience, not just advertising all the donations other people might have given. I find your channel such a....pardon the cliche....a breath of fresh air LOL My advice to you, were I to offer any at all, would be just to do whatever you feel inspired to do and however you feel like doing it. And I'm pretty sure the 2 results would be 1: videos just as good as all of yours are no matter how you structure it and 2: all your viewers loving whatever it is you feel inspired to do. In other words don't worry too much about meeting the expectations of your fans, you're doing great and people love you and love your videos, and I'm certain I'm not alone in saying just do what you do and I'll still watch and be happy and grateful to you ;-) God's Peace Giselle /D
