I went for the hardcover compendiums. You get the most material per book, they’re more cost effective than the other hardcover options, they take up the least space on the shelf, and they look the best. Oversized art isn’t a dealbreaker for me either so it was an easy choice.
I started with the soft-cover compendium... then wanted to upgrade. Thats where I came to a cross-roads and had to decide how I was going to do it. I ultimately decided to go with the library editions.
I have the 12 volumes of Ultimate Collector Editions. I got all of those before I knew about the library editions. The library editions would be ideally what I would love but I can’t justify spending that much to get the same thing just a little bigger in a slipcase. The Ultimate Collector Editions like you said is a good way to manage reading the story because the art is big, but the book is not cumbersome to hold.
Hell yeah! Love this. I have the three softcover compendiums. I'd love to get the hardcovers if I were to upgrade. I'm missing the Invincible universe compendium that released earlier this year
@TBATB no worries! I felt this was a great video that really breaks down options for new collectors. And speaking of new collecting, I've been on the fence about JSA. DC just released the JSA compendium one. I'd love to see a side by side comparing this to the Omnibus. I think it could be pretty helpful for some. But perhaps this is me being selfish 😂
Wonderful video; loved it ; before I clicked on it I knew that some one who loves absolute edition like you would definitely go for the library editions;
Just got the second compendium awhile ago but looking to upgrade to those hardcovers eventually, they are gorgeous! Any way you get it, it’s a must read for anyone who hasn’t yet! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! 🦃
For the physical volumes the Ultimate collection is my favorite format, but honestly this is a pretty perfect series to read digitally. Being able to take it with you and read it anywhere is pretty perfect
Hey man you have a really positive vibe and always bring such a thoughtful perspective to comics. I'm really happy you have this sponsorship/partnership with organic price. Keep at it!
Invincible is just so fantastic. I am happy with my compendiums but one day maybe. The library with him and dad bloody fists is amazing. I tell people I think invincible is the best comic ever. Is it my favorite, no. Is it my favorite art, no. Is it my favorite character, no. But overall comic from start to finish I truly think it is the best ever. So good. The best.
The format that catches my eye is the Hardcover Compendium. But I'll probably get the paperback Compendium because there's so much books to get, and I have to lose some battles 😅
If I didn’t already have all the deluxe hard covers, I would totally jump on those hardcover compendiums. I think they look the nicest. Only downside is smaller art.
Are they going to reprint 3? As dumb as it sounds, what’s keeping me from getting the library editions is they don’t all match, which I hate. With such a premium product they couldn’t have lined up the spines and made the white the same shade? If there is a reprint of 3 coming to match the others I’ll grab em.
Great question! Different companies use the words in different ways but the standard is a compendium is the same trim size as a regular comic book and it is paperback. An omnibus is larger and hardcover. So you get the art oversized!
Thank you for this video. Been wanting to get into invincible for a while but didn’t know how to collect it because of all the different releases. Would love to get the library editions but that would set me back like 650.- which i can’t justify for something i haven’t even read yet.
@ yeah i’m thinking of going the compendium way. Waltscomicshop has a bundle deal on all the hardcover compendiums. I know i’m going to like invincible so i might just get all of them at once.
I have the soft cover compendiums. I came to this video to see what comics are missing from these books. Are there any specials that aren't included in these books?
The libraries are the coolest but absolutely way too expensive to rationalize for the average person when there’s several much more price efficient ways to collect. I go with hardcover compendium

Love this series. It was great all the way through. I collected it in the deluxe editions... Sorry I mean the Ultimate Collection.

I think if you have the ultimate collection you’re doing great! It’s a beautiful set of 12 good size books!
Ultimate collection is the best way to collect for sure !!!
Hell yeah! Love this. I have the three softcover compendiums. I'd love to get the hardcovers if I were to upgrade. I'm missing the Invincible universe compendium that released earlier this year
I totally forgot about that book!
@TBATB no worries! I felt this was a great video that really breaks down options for new collectors.

Haha 😆 you know me so well!
I had almost all of these but I settled on the HC compendiums to save space on my shelf.
Great choice!
I had the HC compendium but I moved to the ultimates and I dont regret it at all tbh (my only regret is that the invincible universe is not in it)

Happy thanksgiving!

Tbh I read the whole series digitally after my break up
@TBATB I'm glad Mark could be there for you digitally when you needed him most

Thanks dude! That means a lot to me!

Have you read Radient black yet? It’s shaping up to be another series as good as invincible
@TBATB no I haven't but I'll add it to my list!!! Thanks.

True haha and it’s all the same content anyways!

That’s true! The deluxe are awesome but 12 volumes is a lot of shelf space
Good vid I’m going for the library editions
Good choice!

I’ve reached out to Skybound online and asked and haven’t gotten a response yet. But honestly, I feel like it’s just a matter of time.
Just reminded me that I still need to pickup this series 😆
You need it!!!
I want the Hardcovers 😎😎💪🏻💪🏻
Great choice!
Great video!!!, a question, what is the difference between a compendium and an omnibus??… thanks 😊

What if you start with the first volume in compendium to get a taste of if you like it?
@ yeah i’m thinking of going the compendium way. Waltscomicshop has a bundle deal on all the hardcover compendiums. I know i’m going to like invincible so i might just get all of them at once.
Did you already make this video? Or am I going crazy😂
Haha we have it for watchmen and sandman
I have the soft cover compendiums. I came to this video to see what comics are missing from these books. Are there any specials that aren't included in these books?
I’m totally fine with my Compendiums to save money and place on the shelves
Great choice! It’s all the same content inside!
They need to release compact series soon.
That would be a lot of volumes haha
Great video
Thank you so much!
YESSSSS
Yessss
LETS GOOOOOOO
