A lot of Kerala women are stuck abroad. Once they migrate, they are stuck with job and family and stuck into making money. Most of these women will be cultural misfits much worse than they were back in India. Take US, UK, Australia, Canada Gulf wherever. Most Kerala women hang out with Malayalam friends, Kerala circles, penny pinch and interact only through social media and no contact with local culture. They are way far less accepted or assimilated. They send money home and work hard to raise the family. By the time they realize the discrimination, fake freedom, false security and reality, it’s too late. Their kids most likely will never come to India too. Men on the other hand try to assimilate and they find that other than economic advantages and advanced cities,, most countries are worse than India. If you have no money, your situation will be even harder. So if they can afford, they try to come back to gain the respect.

ഒരു കാലത്ത് ഇതേ ആഗ്രഹം കൊണ്ട് അമേരിക്കയിൽ ഒക്കെ എത്തപ്പെട്ട ചില മലയാളികളുടെ ഇന്നത്തെ തലമുറയെ ഓർത്ത് അവർ ദുഖിക്കുന്നു. മയക്കുമരുന്നിന് അടിമകളായും വഴിവിട്ട ബന്ധങ്ങളിലൂടെ ഒരു ഭോഗ വസ്തു ആയി സ്വന്തം മക്കൾ മാറുമ്പോൾ അതിനെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യാനോ നേർ വഴിക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരാനോ പോലും മാതാപിതാക്കൾക്ക് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യമില്ല. ഒരുപാട് ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ കണ്ട് ജീവിതം തുടങ്ങിയത് ഇതിന് വേണ്ടി ആയിരുന്നോ എന്ന് ദുഃഖിക്കുന്ന മാതാപിതാക്കൾ. സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ആഘോഷിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നവർ ഇതുകൂടി മനസ്സിലാക്കികൊള്ളൂ.

I’m very happy, in UK, good life, better job satisfaction, better working environment. Getting a professional respect. More salary. Enough time to spend with family. Kids are getting better schooling and lots of enjoyment facilities like kids park in each and every corner. For each job , better payment as well as every job is respected, no job is considered as higher/ lower. More professional growth opportunities. For eg: in Nursing field, lots of categories like critical out reach nurse, anaesthesia nurse, nurse practitioner . If you want to become more career growth and more paid , there is options. While in Kerala, just one nursing and people are considering nursing is a very cheap profession.
These are my reasons not to come back.
