    Very useful review, luckily you didn't put filters, finally let's see how the products work for us who have the same, beauty, I saw many reviews about to LISA ELDRIDGE SKIN TINT I couldn't understand how this product would look on me, thank you, hello from Greece!!! my english is poor, sorry!!!

    It reminds me of of that excellent skin fluid/tint that Clinique brought out around 12-14 years ago. They pulled the entire line quietly pretty soon after the launch and then it was never spoken of again. Very strange. Edit: Superfit.

    • @thefreevolous
      @thefreevolous  5 месяцев назад +3

      They were ahead for their time. It happens at times. My biggest reference is always Becca. All the glowy things they came up with are still for the most part unparalleled, but they went down before it was an actual trend that could keep them afloat.

      @@thefreevolous Certain things are pulled from the market with no explanation shared, and what IS put out is PR that's been carefully vetted by in-house legal. The consultants were all told over and over never to talk about it. They were not told the real reason this product had such a bumpy, controversial and short lived lifespan. I can't say much more in public.

    Really appreciate the side-by-side mascara and lip liner comparisons. Any time a new product comes out, I always get the most out of videos that compare it with something the reviewer thinks is similar!

      Thanks, I also feel videos like those are more helpful.
      I almost did also a swatch comparison with other skin tints, but the video was already so long…

    This is the exact lip pencil comparison I was looking for- great review! Was wondering about the longevity as well

    • @thefreevolous
      @thefreevolous  5 месяцев назад

      It was a quite average longevity. If you pair it with a more moisturising lip product, like a gloss or a shiny lipstick, it will fade rather quickly, and it’ll last more with a matte one, similarly to most lip liners I have.
      They’re very good and wear nicely, but nothing outstanding in terms of longevity (unlike the other formula from Lisa, or even Charlotte Tilbury).
      This is good one if you have a great shade match that you can’t find elsewhere. Otherwise, you can stick to whatever you already have :)

    Hi!! This isn't a criticism of LE but you honestly look stunning without her products! I mean there's hardly any difference between the "before" and the "after". Beautiful both ways. 😅

    I think you are neutral undertone more than olive.

    • @thefreevolous
      @thefreevolous  6 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately, from my experience, neutral foundations look peachy on me. Warm foundations look straight orange. The best colour matches I have have some light olive mixed in, because they bring a more cool yellow shade that matches me the best.
      It’s not unusual to reflect more brightly green on camera, though, especially before they set, because my lights are cool toned.
      In person, it’s a spot on match. But I think with this tint I could have gotten a neutral undertone and it would still look great, since it’s very forgiving.

    Thank you for the review and the impression what I can expect from the tint in summer, when my skin gets oilier. Right now I like the light coverage.
    I am more impressed by the lip liners. C1 is my lips but better shade. A little Dancing Rose on top and I my Easter look is done. I wonder how they perform with the light Velvets or my Lucent lipsticks.
    I wish the Kitten Mascara has a bit more Umph from the first layer. I am too lazy to apply multiple coats of mascara to archive fat lashes. Maybe there will be a big sister Cat mascara soon.

      I really like the lip liners, too. These shades have a high likelihood of being amazing matches for so many people. I use them with different lipsticks and they all go on really well. I wish Lisa would expand her lipstick range to match these new colours ;)

    Hello! New subscriber, here. Really enjoyed and very much appreciate your thorough review of thesse products. I've been so disappointed with several "high end" foundations that, no matter the application technique, just seemed to sit on my face. I also tried them with their respective primers - to no avail. Your video gives me hope. Thanks so much!

    • @thefreevolous
      @thefreevolous  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, Katherine. Skim chemistry is something I struggle with a lot, too. Many things that look beautiful on others just pill, or start moving around my face, melting off, enhancing texture or just snuggling inside my pores and wrinkles and making me look massively pruny AND shiny, and overall incompetent in makeup application 😅 I can absolutely relate. I hope my long-winded descriptions of the products can give you more information for your purchases. That being said, and although I’m absolutely addicted to trying new things, just remember that if you’ve found things that work for you, there’s no need to keep on looking around for the next best thing. We sometimes get so caught up on this world of hype and trends and newness that we forget our baseline, in a way.

    What a perfect shade for you! Love seeing someone with similar skin as mine although I have much more redness & lots of texture & little more spots. It really is important to see real skins.
    I just wish foundation makers would consider FAIR olive skins! They start at medium for some reason. I’m probably about one shade down from you.

    • @thefreevolous
      @thefreevolous  4 месяца назад +1

      I hear you :) I believe Lisa mentioned in her video that shade 5 is a true light olive. Maybe you could check that one out (and her video) if you’re in the market for this product :) I think her shade range is truly very inclusive, and she does have olives in her catalogue, but I’m not as fair so I can’t speak to how it works in practise.
      Alexandra Anele does great videos about the struggles of very light olive skins and always has great suggestions too :))

      @@thefreevolous Thank you for your time. I’ll take a look at #5. Yes I follow Alexandra! Unfortunately many products are in USA & I’m in U.K. but I’ve tried a couple. The Kosas she recommended I’ve been waiting many months for the lighter olive to become available. Ive always championed deeper shades for dark-skinned people, I had no idea us olives were so underrepresented!

      I mentioned it’s something that happens on camera. But in person you can’t see it, it blends in seamlessly with my neck.
      My lights are very cool toned, they reflect the green very intensely, especially when I get too close.
      Neutral foundations look peachy on me, and warm ones look orange. I’m a difficult shade of moss…

    • @irairod5160
      @irairod5160 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@thefreevolous I actually don't see it reflecting green, I see it as if it has too much golden compared to your neck. Perhaps it is, as you said, the cool tone of your filming lights playing tricks with our eyes, but this skin tint does not look as "seamless" as it should be.
