Finally got around to watch this! Has been saving it to give it the attention it requires. Loved this video, a slower meditative pace, felt more intimate and revealing… sharing those gentle childhood snapshots, followed by poetry reading. Thank you x

Thank you for what you do Jason. Teachers do not get enough recognition. Teachers do touch Lives. I will never forget my English Literature teacher in H.S. He introduced me to Poetry and Literature from England. You should make an audio reading of your works. -James

Wow! I had no idea you were a poet! Really enjoyed listening to your poetry. There's definitely a southernness to your poems that make them beautiful 🎉

Jason is too humble to brag but Jason is very talented. Literature wise and Life experience wise. I highly recommend his book Laughing Is Forever. I really connected with that book. -James

Thank you, Jason! That was a great talk and reading. It was good to hear how you read your poems for the timing, etc. Have you seen the RUclips channel The Active Mind? He likes a lot of Russian works but the other day he pulled out Faulkner and Plath. Have you watched the RUclips video In Celebration of Burlington Poets? I enjoyed listening to the poets. I liked the storytelling type of poems that Anna Blackmer read with Sun Damage... I'll put one of my short poems in another comment box. Thanks again for this great video.

7:33 PM on the Fourth of July, 2024
    It's 7:33 PM now!
We are not together as I wished for.
Can I just fall asleep now?
Can I just go into a world where I am happy?
A helicopter is flying too low over the house; its body trembles.
    The ceiling fan turns
and its arthritic joint clicks and clicks
    over and over.
The washing machine struggles in its old age protesting its work with a constant moan of a high pitch.
    Cancer is eating at me.
