    well you used white shirt for DTG so you don't have white layer printed, and the feeling is different ofc... Have you used black tee for DTG the feeling would be much closer between the two, with DTG still being a bit softer :)

    • @Humanitees
      @Humanitees  Год назад +2

      You’re correct, on the white shirt there’s no need for white base because the shirt becomes that white base so yes it will be 10x softer than if I did DTG on a black or colored shirt. Even then the DTG on a black would be a more soft feel than the DTF because it’s essentially in the fabric of the shirt and not on top like the DTF

    use a heavy linen or fabic instead of the teflon sheet for DTF when doing the final cure and it improves the feel of DTF. it gets rid of the shiny flat transfer feel it makes it feel more like a screen print

    • @Humanitees
      @Humanitees  Год назад

      What do you mean by heavy linen or fabric?? Like a heavier shirt or piece of fabric to put on top of it?

    • @HighOctanePrint401
      @HighOctanePrint401 Год назад +10

      @Humanitees yes after you peel the transfer paper and do the final press, try using a heavy linen or even another tshirt or peice of embroidery backing. It gives it a much nicer feel than the Teflon. Any kind of thick wider weave of natural fabric should work. Give it a try and let me know what you think

      @nikhilsachdeva757 I'm not sure if there's a video on RUclips but if you take a thick/coarse weave fabric like linen and do your post press with it after you peel the transfer paper on the dtf if give the transfer a textured feel . It almost mimics a screen print

    What's the difference in texture? And which one last longer as far as machine washing?

    • @Humanitees
      @Humanitees  Год назад +5

      The difference is the Initial feel of something being on top of the shirt vs being in the fibers of the shirt so while DTF is less expensive and still has GREAT quality on the print, you can definitely FEEL it on top of the shirt
      Washability the DTF outlast because it’s a film on top and not ink within the shirt if you get what I mean, so over time of washing DTG and rubbing against itself will cause loss of vibrancy

    • @alwinred
      @alwinred Год назад +5

      @@Humanitees actually with DTF if you print on a white shirts you don't have to use white ink as the base or use 20%-30% to add more flexibility to your print, this makes the print feel more smooth.
      On top of that if you print on white or black shirts you can remote from your design the blacks if you are going to press it on a black shirt and whites if you will press it on a white and this helps the t-shirt to breath and makes the design more smooth on the tees.
      And one last tip you can prepare your designs with halftones to imitate screen printing and this makes the prints feel like plastisol screenprints on the tees.
      Overall DTF outperform DTG in almost every aspect.

    • @чиабатта-р9с
      @чиабатта-р9с Год назад +2

      @@alwinred well it's better to keep the white coat even for white t-shirts. Because white layer gives enough adhesion between colored ink and fabric. Only color option can cause some parts of your transfer not to print at all.

    Hi what temperature and time do you set the heatpress at for the DTF printing? I’m not sure if I’m heatpressing to long or not long enough but I’m losing a lot of my designs during the peel. I’m using gtx pro and cold peel sheets. Love your videos

    • @Humanitees
      @Humanitees  Год назад +1

      Yo yo! And if we’re doing DTF on 100% cotton my settings are 325 heat and 30 second press
      If you’re doing poly I would bump that down to 290 and a 20 second press, and make sure the Film is absolutely cold before peeling. If you’re still losing your design then it may be your DTF film is under cured or over cured
      Try those settings and let me know if that helps

      Also, with my personal experience as far as visual quality-wise I think DTF is the obvious winner. I tried using print on demand with Printful and Printify, the quality of a simple one color design looked shoddy. I decided to buy my own heat press and buy DTF transfers from companies online and the quality difference to me is like night and day. DTG on a white shirt I ordered looked faded like I washed the shirt a handful of times and DTG on a colored shirt that I ordered looked shoddy. The paint was cracked and caked up. I never looked back from DTG once I got my own heat press and ordered DTF transfers. That's just my personal experience.
      However, with your video the DTG looks pretty darn good so I don't know what the ppl at Printful and Printify was doing. Lol....
