Why a cut out above the neck of the paddle is not a common feature? Would not it greatly improve aerodynamics and make swing through air easier especially for paddles weighted above 8oz?
I think some are full of IT. I have 20 paddles -- most of the top ones listed -- 'cept the Engage paddles. I bought the Joola Ben Johns Perseus to fill out my basement and I can say that of all my paddles this is the worst one of the bunch -- it feels like a club in my hands -- Maybe for strong and young dudes, but it was a bust for me -- and others have agreed with me.
