What a pretty cat! I’m a little estranged from one of my sisters in the past year. It made me happy to hear your nostalgia with your sister at the fair and memories of summer. I have deep, summer memories at the rock quarry pool where we grew up. 🏊♀️ ❤ Maybe I’ll paint a picture of those memories… 😊
0:51 - Celebrating Litha: I try to celebrate every Solstice & Equinox with special people OR alone, as I feel the choice best suits me at the time (even if I CAN spend it with others). Sometimes, solitary time is best. Still, this Litha, I spent part of it at lunch with a friend, and I made a gift of fresh-picked lemons to the restaurant's owner, who has been particularly kind to us. Lemons & oranges are like little suns, so I thought this was a fitting offering. :) I also spent some time giving thanks not only for the blessings of the day but also of the season, and I thanked Father Sun for his gifts: waking & warming as all and the Earth, for inspiring growth & ambition, and for light & long days. I thanked him for his reign and asked him to pass us gently into the arms of Mother Moon. Now that she's so clearly visible outside, I'll spend some to celebrate her return to power and ask her to bless & keep us all. 10:15 - Effects of Nature: I turn to the natural world whenever possible for peace, motivation, small miracles & the simple joys in life. In fact, I can't think of anything that I turn to more often! Many of my most memorable moments were and are spent in nature -- and my most grateful moments, too. Nature lifts me up and keeps me humble. Nature is God. 10:24- Blessings & Gratitude: There's something for which to be grateful, every day, even if a day's events don't lend easily to it. I take time to be thankful for the blessings of each day & to pray for whoever's in need at the time. One full moon night, I was standing outside, giving thanks & prayers while gazing at the moon. Then, a flock of seagulls passed in front of the moon, calling out in the night. Their voices were so distant but still so clear - as clear as moonlight! If that isn't a trifecta of nature, gratitude, and blessings, I don't know what is! It was an exquisite moment. A BLESSE LITHA TO YOU, MY FRIENDS! :)
