Honestly, I really hope that Warner Brothers figures it out before it’s too late and thinks about what they’re doing. If they don’t, the Hogwarts Legacy 2 game is going to turn out exactly like the Suicide Squad game, and I don’t want that to happen to them.

I really hope Warner Brothers thinks this whole thing through. If they go down the same path as the Suicide Squad game, they’ll lose a lot of fans who love the game they created. I don’t want them to go down that route. They should consider the community, how this game brought everyone together, and how much people love it. Think of the fans, not just the profits, and the developers who poured countless hours into Hogwarts Legacy.
Live service is the past, NOT the future.
I hope more companies realize not every game needs to be live service or multiplayer.
One of the other features better be diving in to the Black lake
they should do it like minecraft. A huge update every year. Like year 1/3 and than year 4/7 and than a career update, and than a professor at an other school update or something. maybe than a graphic update etc
Or they could just not do live service and just make something great people will want.
Personally I have no problems with live service games...but they must be executed properly. Genshin, Honkai, etc are some of the better ones that I can think of from top of my head. HL2 could be a good live service game...but I dunno, I guess we will see.

The quidditch game is live service when it finally gets released but anyway statistics tell us people don't want online games... they want single player experiences with stores that they can play on devices like the steamdeck. Pick up play a level put down. Put the kids to bed.

Well maybe if the game flops they understand its not the smartest idea to launch HL2 as a life service as well and can turn things around before release
Unless there’s a confirmation that Howard’s Legacy 2 is a single player game, I will no longer preorder it as I did with HW1. Maybe this should be a campaign before WB decides to do something stupid.
I don’t mind to even pay $9/m for a “battle pass” service if it means I will get new map, new quest, new stories every month and therefore new content to grind and explore… I did it for other online games such Call of Duty Mobile, the game was free to play and people were still spending money to buy skins, visual effects on their kill shots, etc… that would work too.

They should make it where your choices make a difference, where you can be a dark or light witch or wizard. they should make it real world where you start in first year, go to graduation and then choose a career. You can make friends, make it like a world of warcraft but in Harry potter verse! i would pay monthly for that

I cant wait for Hogwats legacy 2 I have enjoyed hogwats legacy so i went to platinum the game to completely 100% the game currently 12 trophies away from the platinum trophy on ps4

I don't play single player often. When I do game, I want to game with friends (my girlfriend mostly lol). So I am more in the Couch Co-op wagon myself, not really live service. And if I had my pick, same screen I HATE split screen! I may be the odd one on those views however....

That is because it's too early. Was it July? I forgot what was said but either way, not yet AND there'll not be many things, really, unless you played on PC, then there's the shop quest. Basically it's just the platform exclusive stuff getting to all other platforms + a photo mode, if I got that right?

On one hand, the idea of making it a live service game isnt necessarily a bad thing. I think the problem that many companies are money hungry and the games eventually turn into pay to play. There are so many games that have done that and it always disappoints and chases away players.

I don’t think I’ll buy hogwarts legacy 2 since they didn’t bring no doc to the first one like they said they would and they didn’t bring the quidditch pick so I ain’t spending another 70 for a standard game… also live service would be trash.

They didn't bring quidditch as there's a whole seperate game for that. And as a player who never liked that sport either, I'm quite thankful for that being seperate. The fling challenges were bad enough to go through XD

Literally just mage Hogwarts Legacy 2 an MMO RPG, kind of along the lines of Final Fantasy XIV online but just with added relationships and classes, and they'll be going in the right path.

Hello, thx for your info…BUT…you compare a lot to Suicide Squad…you are not paying attention to the fanbase. Hogwarts/Harry Potter has a much larger fanbase of all ages across the globe🌏. Suicide Squad has a niche fanbase/market. Potterworld has sold books, movies Audiobooks, etc & the mechanise is everywhere & sells easily, rotating what’s available with new & varied stock all the time. If I see any Suicide Squad, it is still the same items, month after month, at only a couple of stores & the salespeople are quick to tell you it hasn’t been selling. They don’t have to look it up, as there is already disappointment in their body language. Summing up…not a good or fair comparison.👎🏻
You are grasping hard at straws. Warner Bro will hold HL2 as a shining example of why that system will work. Previous failures are irrelevant.
