      @@D4C_Gaming Say what you want about the sequels but Kylo's, Rey's and the Resistance theme are iconic. And some tracks like Jedi Steps or Holdo's Resolve are fantastic.

    i'm 25, and seeing him walk with Katleen helping him because he's now 90 and everyone cheering for him made me cry instantly. I'm so gratefull to have the opportunity to see him again perform even at this stage of his life. that is just crazy. I love Star Wars so much.

      @@KhalKatana thats not true lol, the score is one of the last things they do in post-production, the composer lays down the tracks on a fully cut and edited slate that contains only special effects sound and dialogue.

      I'm glad too but didn't he say that he would NEVER do any more music for Star Wars ??? I mean, OK, "never say never" LOL but the problem is : we will NEVER hear the... Obi-Wan Theme in... the Star Wars movies (1977, 1980, 1983, 1999, 2002, 2005) where this character is present (even for just a small "ghost" appereance in Return of the Jedi) !!! And please don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Star Wars fan and a John Williams fan since my childhood years, but, well... I'm a little confused here I must say...

    I love how this entire piece opens up on a somber 4 notes that are taken directly from the beginning of Qui-Gon's theme. Obi-wan got his start from his master, but instead of turning out to be strong and defiant like his master and his theme, his is one of a beaten down man trying desperately to survive and keep hope.

      100% intentional . Also that run down followed by the leap in the horn melody at 1:38 is definitely a maybe-not-so-sly nod to Luke's Theme aka the main Star Wars theme

      He is what a jedi should be, he follows the jedi code, respect his master, wiser and passionate but also have some class humours and not a boring one. He is the second master quin gon jin, what Reva said in the series is true "he is the last amber of the jedi master".

    Just as Obi-Wan resembles Qui-Gon yet walks his own path, their respective themes start out very similar yet take us on different - though connected - emotional journeys. How fitting!

      Try playing it. I have played trombone in a university band on professionally arranged scores of multiple pieces from Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Olympic Fanfare, Far & Away, Jurassic Park, Hook, ET & Close Encounters. As a musician, you play his music differently. You hold yourself a little straighter, you hit the attack a little cleaner. In everything you do, you strive to make yourself worthy of the music you have the privilege to play. Even when we played The Throne Room from New Hope in high school, you feel proud to be playing the music.

    I love that Obi-Wan's theme is basically the starting pitch of the chorus for the Star Wars main theme to symbolize the coming dawn that will eventually lead to A New Hope and beyond.
    Notice that Kenobi delivered Luke to Owen and Beru when the twin suns set. In A New Hope, they were rising when Luke is grown up.

    I like this. It's more slowed compared to the version we got hear in the show and in many other youtube covers. It's like each note is being squeezed to give their all, fitting for a broken man like obi-wan.

    Damn this is beautiful. I hear so many other Star Wars motifs in this - Luke/force, Qui Gon, even some hints of his TLJ soundtrack. This man will forever be an absolute legend.

    this theme seems to be almost exactly like the force theme but altering every time the important note is about to hit, making it apparent that despite how powerful of a force user Obi Wan is, he's lost contact with the force while in hiding for such a long time.

    Whatever anyone has to say about the different trilogies of Star Wars. Every single one of the 9 movies has fantastic music. And that's because they were all scored by John Williams.

    As a 25 year old man.. the 4 year old to the 9 year old in me, who grew up with the prequels, AND CHERISHED THEM... my heart is full.
    FORGET the first guy, remember ME.

    What would Star Wars be without William's iconic themes? The music is timeless and instantly recognizable. His music injected much needed weight, and emotion, into the prequels by doing a lot heavy lifting propping up some of the films more wooden performances.
