- What do you recommend - using or not to use a tarp with a bivi? This is my second time using my Rab Ridge Raider bivi but have used a simple one for decades. This one is luxury compared to the flat ones I have used before. Some views of Sheffield but not as clear as I had hoped.
I hope you enjoy watching this video and feel that you have tagged along as well.

You're so organised, Warren, I'm in awe! absolutely loved this video, thank you! 😃
Hey Sam, it was a good trip for sure. Some complex planning to get each day to run in to eachother smoothly. Cheers, Warren :)
A top video Warren. A good idea, also, taking the tarp for some sheltered cooking.
I really enjoyed watching this, cheers mate.👍
With the rain I was very pleased to have the tarp cover. An extra to have on standby I think. Cheers, Warren :)
Good video Warren. I like the ridge raider. Looks a good lightweight option.
Certainly more comfortable than my old "flat" bivi bag. But, not as comfortable as a tent - lol Cheers, Warren :)
Enjoyed that. Really want to visit the Peak District sometime, albeit in a tent! And yes, food tastes MUCH better on a mountain!
That's a good phrase for sure. Let's talk more about the Peak District. :)
Good video Warren. Nice pint in the pub to start and Hobgoblin.
The tarp was needed.
Keep having fun👍
I usually start with a #turbopint :)
And yep, lucky I had the tarp. It would have been grim cooking and sorting out in the rain. Cheers, Warren :)
Hi Warren, great hike and camp. I've never been to the Peak district but recognised at once where you were from Pat's videos. It did look almost cold out there.
Hope you got your train!!
All the best
Yep, that was exactly Pat's spot. I avoided mentioning it in the video specifically. Such a good location. Yep, I got the train okay. Cheers, Warren :)
When 1 Multimat isn't enough 😁
Well spotted! Yeah, I wish they were just a bit bigger. Useful for in the porch area of the tent to stand on when boots on / off etc. Cheers, Warren :)
good vid on channel of you out on cam keep up the vids camping is good like camping my self you and wield camps do thanks lee
Thank you Lee, cheers, Warren :)
Hopefully not 4 feathers Warren 😂 Nice to see you out and about, I thought about buying the Ridge Raider before I got the OEX Salamanda thing... Enclosed bivvys like this are definitely not for me. I like a bivvy though, just not these types.
Bivvy times are not luxury but can be much more stealthy than a taller tent. And quick to deploy. :)
Hey Warren another great video 👌👌 is the spot you bivi at the spot with the guest book ?
Yep, that's the exact spot. I avoided mentioning that in my video to avoid over exposure etc. Cheers, Warren :)

I'm surprised he'd eat any other brand now but I guess necessity forces his taste buds. Bushyboy Oz

Needs must and all that. I had run out of the genuine Warren Custard. Cheers, Warren :)
