Yes Yes Yes!!! This is so awesome Jason, its a great way to simply but effectively make the light cycles come to life on the grid as an interactive display piece. Thanks for improving our set man, fans will love this upgrade and we might give it a go ourselves soon, Excellent work, kind regards BrickBros UK :)
Darth Vader maybe the new stupid RUclips rules hit them hard. That's what happened with Jangbricks. Pretty much all his videos before this year got turned into kids videos and had all the comments deleted. He had to switch up how he runs his channel (open a patreon, do live streams, etc) to keep it going. Maybe it was the same for BrickBros. I noticed a lot of their videos have now been turned into kids videos with all comments gone
Superb upgrade to an already great set. As someone with not much of a technical mind, I found your breakdown of the mechanism so easy to follow - like how you replaced the blue axle part-way through to slowly increase the complexity. And yet I never lost appreciation for how clever it all is. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Just found this set for a decent price, and then found this, had to get it as well. Gona have a Tron weekend marathon of both films and the show whilst building this! Thankyou so much!
Very simple but effective mod to this. It seems like something that lego could have easily added themselves. This only needs a motor now to complete it.
i really like the detail in which you went into how to build it. i would love it if you did this more often. Most the time we don't get a good enough look at it to reproduce
WOW when I was pretty sure, to skip this Lego set, you made this amazing stand and now I have to buy the set and the pieces for the stand!!!! Damnit JK is not fair!!!! Just for that I hope you have a nice long weekend!!!!
You rock! This is such a great mod! You make the mechanism look so simple. Wait... It was beautiful simple but super elegant. Nice! Reckon this would have been doable for the price of the set!
Very compact and ingenious use of the universal joint, amazing! Seeing the tilting light-cycles gave me an idea for a creation worthy of your skills: Maybe you can build this kind of tilting motion with a slalom skier instead of the bikes. Or even more, perhaps you can add a continuous slalom track with the gates and all (like your lawnmover man creation) under the skier...
This is incredible! I recently sorted my LEGO collection so I could easily find parts and I was very excited to see that I actually have every part needed to build this!
Hello, thanks for the awesome build. I have purchased all the parts and made this for myself! The only improvements I could suggest are improving the plates that connect the two cycles together and also an arm system that allows you to control both cycles with just one rod/hand :)
Superb work Jason! Again. This honestly makes me wonder why LEGO themselves couldn't manage this. Pretty sure a few extra $'s on their retail price would have covered this modification and given way more play value. An inspiration :)
Brilliant! I'm still waiting on my TRON set that I ordered on April 3, but once I get it, I'll source the extra light blue pieces to make this mod. Maybe I could gear down an M Motor to have them actively zig zagging on my desk. :)
Really like what you've done with it. The automation really brings the build to life! It's nice to hear your thoughts on the build and the description of the mechanism is neat! Thanks for doing great work! Really looking forward to more builds - do you have any plans for what it'll be? :-D
This is super impressive!! How do you come up with the mechanism to use to accomplish the motion you want? I have experience with building things that have specific motions, but the stuff you're making is way beyond what I do. If I wanted to create this sliding/tilting motion, I would have no idea where to begin! I assume this takes several prototypes, and lots of trial & error, but just knowing where to begin is a skill that amazes me, with this model, and plenty of your others. I'd love to know how you developed your mechanical intuition, so that you can create almost any kind of motion you want, using as few gears, linkages, cranks, etc. as possible.

Self-hire yourself into LEGO please
Is it only the stand or with the cycles
This is super! It should have been in the official set like this!
Definitely, its not worth the price as is imo, but with this mechanism? Definitely an upgrade.
Agreed!

Why do you not upload anymore brickbros :(

Joe Victor that’s a possibility I had when they went silent, COPPA is brutal..
That's a really smart use of a universal joint to give you that extra bit of movement in such a compact mechanism. Love the design.
The shifting motion is very sophisticated, also it looks very cool!!!

Fantastic improvement of the Tron set, this was exactly what I was looking for!
I really like the mechanism for this one!
This is why I subscribed, because you keep blowing my mind just about every video with these technich contraptions. I love it!
I had no idea that LEGO made a universal joint. You have all the coolest stuff!

Best kinetic sculpture ever !!

Dang I’m jealous, I only have two 99206 bricks, and they are not even black, I have most of the other bricks
Brilliant idea !
That is so sick!
Awesome! Great job, this looks fantastic and is very clever too.

Congrats on the pop up book!
Stunning.
Wow that looks awesome! I might have to do this for my Tron set.
Man, you are genius!!
Lego should hire you.
Oh, wrong. You should hire Lego.
Beautiful.
Wow Spectacular
I absolutely love this
Brickbros UK will be proud
You need a giant TRON display lol
The whole world, with motorized scenes to add life
Congrats on the Pop-Up Book being the next Ideas set!
It's really awesome. I love it !
It would be interesting if the motorbike were still overtaking and the whole would turn at 90 degrees.
So great!!
♥️

Thank you for doing this!!!
nice work!
Cool Video 😉
AWESOME
Nice
Another good one. I was expecting power functions and the sound brick system you customize
Awesome
Love it and will diffidently be building it. It would be even more cool if it was motorized like your others. Love the Sharks too :)

When it looks simple and then you're just like, "A universal what joint?" And then you can't make it yourself. 😂
Genius!!!
Good Job

im still waiting for this in the mail, it has been two months since i ordered from your website! what is happening?
Why did I see this on reddit first? Im subscribed goddammit
Just like a proper motorcycle chase
Stop it stop making my creations look horrible
XD just a joke pls inspire me more and more
Thanks
Lol! He makes us all look bad. This is such a great mod!
I agree!!
GJBricks I do not agree
AmazeBrickZ no I do not agree with this 👎👎👎
I would’ve added a whole other feature by making the light path behind bend with the turn. Still awesome though!!
How do you make the bikes I would be really interested to see that
I see, I clicked, I liked
Genius
What is the motor you used for the build
How do you attach a motor to make the motion automated?
i got the bikes already and just brought the mechanism stand just now from jk brick but i am worried in how to make it automation?
I shout like to know the name of the song at the beginning
I have this lego but purple and blue
That shuttle piece looks super rare
It's not a single piece, it's built from pretty common pieces.
It's made up of 7 pieces: (4) 2x2x2/3 Modified Plate with 2 Studs on Side, (2) 2x2 Curved Slope No Studs, (1) 2x2 Modified Tile with Pin
Shweet.
