I wished they redesigned the Transformers more, kinda like the original Transformers run from IDW. But I’m still excited for what they’ve got.
I agree, I wish they changed them up a bit more. Who knows though maybe they'll change as the story progresses.

I think based on Kirkman's comments he's going to respect it and do something new, but we'll see.

I'm down for this! Having them be a crossover right from the beginning is a good way to start things off. And having them under the umbrella of Image Comics, my favorite company when it comes to non-DC/Marvel comics (thanks to Invincible) really has me excited.

I'm intrigued to see how the characters from Void Rivals will interact with known franchises like Transformers and G.I. Joe. We know nothing of them so we have no idea what to expect. I'm in!

I’m interested to see how this all works out. Not only will it be great to see these two IPs co-existing in the same universe, but according to Void Rivals it seems like it’s going to have a ton of new original stuff mixed in (at least I hope so).

Glad there are people who are looking forward to this. I thought the IDW combined universe was bad and stopped buying the comics eventually. It was just too much money to buy so many series to follow the story. Started reading back during Infiltration and never saw the end. Ah well.
I've been covering there 2005 continuity on the channel in chronological order. I'll continue to do so, but this will definitely take priority. I think this will be great!

From what I’ve read via the TFWiki, the series got really convoluted towards the end (Mainly regarding Shockwave time-traveling and the buildup towards Unicron).
So I’m not to familiar with publishers I am somewhat with the older ones but it’s cool to hear about them going into skybound I believe I saw an image of invincible? Maybe we will get some unique tales to the genre which will be dope

I've been following both the G.I Joe since 1982/83[3rd grade] and Transformers Gen 1 since it's beginning in 1984, & I'm super pumped that they're redoing everything. But one of my main questions is about the Hierarchy: since they're beginning the Joe side w/ Duke, are they going to still keep him as 2nd in command, or make him the full all-out leader? Because in order of leadership succession, it goes Gen. Hawk, then Duke, then [my man] Flint, and finally Beachhead. So how's that work now? I hope they still keep that as canon. On the Joe's side the origin stories I wanna see most are Flint, Snake Eyes 👀 & Storm Shadow [and are they gonna still keep him good,or turn him good like the Marvel books?] Roadblock, CC, Destro & Baroness. On the Transformers side: Prime [of course], the Lambo twins Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, Megatron & Soundwave. There's So much I'm looking forward to in this new/revamped, so yeah, I'm pumped
Glad you're pumped like me and like that your a life long fan. I think they will do what IDW did and have General Hawk recruit Duke into the the Joe team. I think Hawk will definitely be the Head of Joe teem, while Duke is the face of it. Storm Shadow I would like to be a villain be a big part of Cobra, and see his rivalry with Snake Eyes grow.
OMG, I really hope they continue the Shattered Glass series!! That's actually the only one I'm concerned about lol. But last week in a discussion, I raised something that no one has even thought about yet. Will Sky bound acknowledge the IDW comic created characters in the Transformers series?? Characters like Windblade, Tarn, and Rung. Characters that were created in the IDW comics. Besides that, I've already bought the first issue of the comic with Sky fire in it. I'm excited to read Transformer comics and lore again after being on a break for years!!
I think they will, because it doesn't seem like they have anything against IDW since they are continuing their vast GI Joe run. I got my first issue of Void RIvals too. I'm also hoping they continue Shattered Glass, but overall I'm excited about this universe.
Looking forward to this universe.
The two have gone hand in hand at times, so I am hopeful.

I have always watched G.I.Joe and Transformers on television back in the day! I like theme songs from both animation shows! I don't have any G.I.Joe and Transformers comic books at all. Ah. man. I am definitely buying comic books in the future! Take care and Be safe. Guy.

I would like it to, even though Mark and his dad could run through most Transformers lol except Blaster and Soundwave. They would get trashed by them lol
@@GoBeyondComics tee hee. Although I'm expecting them to meet up after the invincible's whole comic event. I mean cybertron needs to connect with other intergalactic communities after their war. Maybe one of those intergalactic community is...Viltrum Empire. Just saying.

@@GoBeyondComics well they've done crossovers before and the movie one was planned for years but it's strange seeing them happen at the same time now
Who knows when that movie will come out. This is happening right now. The meeting of these 2 groups will be slow and built up, not immediate like the movie will most likely do.

Im not even gonna lie when i saw that guy in the tie ...i thought 2 things....#1. this guy is someone very important who seems to knw alot....leading me to believe that he was either an older version of billy or js a person who knew the power rangers... Seeing as how the threat is a bit planetary the rangers joinin would make sense as the zords are also robots .....but then came theory 2. Maybe the joes would be the next best thing so having one of those theories check out really hyped me up and now i have hope that maybe we will see a ranger crossover with the transformers ....

Stopped buying the Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from IDW after my local provider shut down his store pre-pandemic. Just saw this video by accident. I've followed Transformers since the Marvel days and was delighted when Dreamwave got the licence to reboot the Transformers comics universe 22 years ago. Some things may have been done wrong and gone wrong along the way, but I feel the artists have done a great job throughout to give us what we Transformers fans wanted. With IDW taking over when Dreamwave folded, they've been great at pushing the stories. I wasn't always a fan of the drawing style, but the stories used to weigh up for this. However, I've been out of the loop so long now I've no idea how the comics universe is holding up. I've been entertaining the idea of buying the premium hardcover collections of all the comics I've missed out on, but those are *really* expensive. Any idea if it's actually worth it or if I should spend my money elsewhere?
PS! I should perhaps add that I'm a Transformers fan in Norway and we can import books without having to pay value added tax (VAT). If I import a paperback version of a collected comic, I have to pay VAT because it's explicitly regarded as a comic. When it's a hardcover binding, however, it's regarded as a book. When you know the VAT is 25%, it does make sense to buy the hardcover, especially when it's available at a reduced price.
Hey man glad you found the channel. I recommend getting the earlier stories from the 2005 continuity that what I’m mostly covering on the channel. The Autocracy Trilogy hardcover i would start off with. I wasn’t a fan of the 2019 continuity, I did cover some stuff they recently did before losing the license. Like Transformers Vs Terminator, Beast Wars, and Transformers Wreckers Tread & Circuits.

Rom actually returned to Marvel back in March. They haven't done anything yet with it.
I hope they avoid making things too convoluted like later IDW did (At least from what I read on the TFWiki).
If you read Robert Kirkmans work before, that’s never been an issue in any of his stories
This is the third reboot in 20 years, I'm exhausted.
But that's the nature of story telling. They've rebooted the show a bunch of times and just basically rebooted when it comes to the movies. Also, when it comes to comics in general it happens a lot. DC has rebooted their universe a bunch of times, Marvel has never rebooted, but they've reworked characters a lot. Hell, even Harry Potter is about to be rebooted into a TV series lol. Reboots are awesome ,because its an opportunity to see a universe from a different story tellers perspective and love for that universe. Its essentially a new adventure. It could totally suck, but I'm never gonna judge a reboot because its a reboot.
It also revealed in Transformers ROTB tho
That doesn't really count though because that's the movies. The films and comics have never been connected or even worked in sync together.

I heard Marvel to from Blind Prime, last year but I told him I heard Skybound. I was fine with Marvel to, but this is definitely better

@@thexdatabase you’re confusing their rights to the toy/brand with the comic license. Hasbro owns that but made a comic licensing deal with Marvel. The same as they did with Skybound when it comes to Transformers and Gi Joe.

It's not Transformers centric, because they are getting their own series.
Energon universe? I think the more accurate name is the Hasbro-verse. Energon wasn't in GI joe.
