How does one lay the proper foundation?

You do not lay or build the proper foundation, that original foundation is what you were given. You allowed it to become ruins, You must first remove the images and foundations that you have allowed to be placed on the original foundation, the rock. It is not about learning or building, it is about unlearning and dismantling, until you are stripped down to the original foundation. The one shared consciousness, you are a localization of the one consciousness, within itself.
I am not sure what he means by "observing an insult with all your senses"?. For example, some says you're lazy, you do not have the skills etc, what does it mean to observe it with all one's senses?
Or to listen to it with full attention and alertness in other words pure observation
How does the organism (you) react to an insult? Observe both the physical and psychological sensitivity.

Be totally aware and don't think to escape the insult mentally or physically.....Just "watch"
To watch ur inner being as those words are being uttered.. This way the sensation would be separated from the thought and the image
How can all-inclusive love be known
When you lose yourself completely.
When you lose your self centeredness, you lose the divisions that you have made in the world, then you accept your neighbour as yourself, then you learn of all inclusive love. It is your mind made egoic mind that separates yourself from the world. Ego death allows you to live in the eternal present.
