Totally agree. I went with my brother as we’ve been listening to them since 2001 and when the end came I couldn’t believe we had been there an hour and a half. We laughed, we damn near cried, The Greatest Band in the World.
He doesn’t make as much money as you’d think. A lot of the movies he’s been in he worked for at or near scale pay: ~$100k. King Kong & the Jumanji films are the only films he’s made a lot of money off of but even then in the Jumanji films most of the budget went to the Rock. A comparable actor is Jonah Hill. He doesn’t make much $ acting. Most of his income has come from writing or producing & other behind the camera jobs. Hollywood is a brutal business.
Signal chain for ACU(acoustic) is normally cable to DI box to board. Or wireless lt board. No need for the DI with wireless because the receiver will have an XLR out.
Imagine paying for a show to stand there and record it... Waste of money. Just enjoy it and remember it. That's what you are there for, not to hold a phone for an hour.
