The vintage apres londee is so gorgeous. The only perfume that took my breathe away and I almost cried. It’s so delicate and I literally smelled a wet garden.
10 years ago I also have been stuck in Istanbul because of the eruption. I took a bus from Istanbul to Thessaloniki and then a bus to Bialystok (Poland). It was an experience of surviving... Thank you for the videos and articles, Persolaise. The most intelligent observations, a real pleasure to watch and read.
Congrats on the anniversary! Having started viewing your channel in the last six months, the choices were new to me. I was pleased to see my signature scent included! Apres l'Ondee. I find it meditative rather melancholic. I love how perfume is so subjective. Your comment raising even the possibility of it being discontinued alarmed me. I would join you in the campaign to prevent that! The only reference I have encountered was in BBC series of Mitford's Love in a Cold Climate where one of the characters was wearing Apres l'Ondee and it was commented upon.
Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to write. I’m afraid I’ve heard a few rumours about Après L’Ondee being discontinued... but I sincerely hope they are just rumours.
I saw the BBC remake of Love in a Cold Climate. I heard the ref to Apres L'Ondee. One of the best scenes uses the T Rex song, Dandy from the Underworld. It's an exciting dance number. Film magic!

Glad to have discovered your channel long after reading several of your blog posts. Fantastic content all around! Habit Rouge is indeed a stunner that never fails to impress. But Dior Homme is a true masterpiece in my eyes, and the “most me” fragrance in my collection. It always brings a smile to my face and represents an awakening for me; the gateway into this hobby of appreciating fragrance as art. A master class in contrasts-light/dark, masculine/feminine, sweet/bitter, clean/gourmand, etc. Had to purchase a backup bottle once I tried the 2020 reformulation.
Beautiful list! While speaking of Cuir de Russie edt you mentioned something about Guerlain Djedi and you never finished. I would love to hear what you have to say about it. Especially in relation to Cuir de Russie. Thank you, Jonathan
