Persolaise, I was waiting for you to review Terre D'Hermes Eau Givree. Others have reviewed the fragrance but there is only ONE Persolaise & your reviews are the BEST !!!!!
Thank you for getting the pronunciation right even though you may not be a French speaker. I can't be bothered with reviewers who can't even pronounce what they are reviewing. You have a very pleasant voice and could be a radio DJ. A very enjoyable review brimming with charisma. I am glad I have found and subscribed to your channel. Can't wait to try Eau Givrée.
I’m wearing Eau Givree for the first time in months and I’m struck by how overwhelmingly green I’m reading it. Imagine Terre if the cedar stake imbedded in the burnt orange clay somehow grew roots and sprang back to life. This is Terre with machinery of photosynthesis churning away, humid with new growth. In the words of Dr. Ian Malcolm, “Life finds a way”. Intellectually compelling work, Ms. Nagel.
This is the funniest fragrance video I've watched in years, for real, the press release part me got me laughing in the office XD Anyways, sad that the beloved ETF is now discontinued; it's my favorite summer scent next to Edition Blanche. Nevertheless, the positive hype on Eau Givree lately has given me new hopes. I hope it pokes my personal love as much as ETF does!
I much prefer the Eau Givrée traditional cap and I’m thrilled that the bottle is refillable; I never cared for the T d’ H retractable ‘foreskin’ format.
Hola te veo desde Santiago de Chile!!! Me encantan tus reseñas sinceras y muy originales... Trabajo para Hermes perfumes y me encantan tus comentarios.!. Saludos Cordiales!!!
That lemon-ness of course is from the citron-note , but it also mainly comes from the quite authentic sichuan pepper that I smell in it, the spice has a citrus like quality. If you’ve ever cooked with it, you’ll recognise it, it does not smell similar to normal pepper.
Thanks Persolaise always love your reviews. Not tried the new Terre yet. Love the edt. Although wearing Dior Homme original tonight a new purchase which I absolutely love!
In my humble opinion, this is a great addition to the Terre portfolio. This is better than H24, by far. I only mention H24 as I sense there is a connection between them and that multiple iterations were in the works ;)
Having not been a huge fan of the original TDH (too much ISO-E and cumin), and having not paid too close attention to the subsequent flankers, I just sampled this and bought a bottle. Well done and thankfully the ISO-E (that JCE relied on so much) has been used with more discretion by Christine Nagel. I totally agree with the marketing notes - hilarious and astoundingly cryptic. Also, the TDH Eau Fraiche discontinuation is due to fallout from the EU ban on lyral and lilial - this has affected many houses who have been pulling fragrances down even here in the US where there is no ban on those components. TF Neroli Portofino Forte is a recent casualty of the ban as well, and a definite loss for the TF line.
Smelled eau givrée the other day. I quite like it! To me is a fresher, citrusy version of the original, which remains one of my favourite perfumes. Did not really like the vetiver eau intense. Thank you for your review.
Eau tres Fraiche is my favourite fragrance, full stop! Very sad to see it go; fortunately I've stashed away about 500ml worth so I should be set for the foreseeable future 👍
Persolaise. Any idea what's happening with Bel Ami Vetiver? Certain articles, and pricing along with lack of secondary availability seem to suggest it's been pulled, but it still is on Herme's website. Just asking. Will give Eau Givree a sample see.
Oh gracious! The word salad of their description, had me alternately laughing myself silly and blushing. I wonder about the secret life of the person who wrote this. 🤔😆
I laughed when you said “let’s give the benefit of the doubt to the press realease” come on, there is no doubt, the press release is complete schlock. I’m with Arthur Scargill;, the press release succeeds is making me less interested in the perfume.
I don’t know who writes/translates these ridiculous perfume press releases; considering all the money spent on these launches, one would think they’d spend a tiny portion of it on some proper writing...o tempora o mores...
Persolaise Perfumes - Ha! You’re right 🙂 - I found myself involuntarily mimicking your expressions as you were reading; I think I was just as perplexed.
Are you desperate to smell like a gin and tonic spilled onto the playing surface of Roland-Garros? Yes? Then Terre D’Hermes Eau Givree might be for you.
@@Persolaise I’m sure there is! I quite like this work. The poetic intellectualism of the original is replaced by an earnest realism that I find refreshing. A worthy companion to the original.

I should dig out my bottle. Thanks for the nudge.
Watching your expressions while reading the press releases is a special kind of treat 😂
Good to know 😆
Awesome review.Eugene also did a fantabulous job describing this one..
Thanks very much for watching.

Just missed the live. But happy to watch it
Thank you.
Thanks for prononciating « givrée » in a perfect way. And obviously a great thorough review which will make buy this Terre flanker.
C’est n’est pas “prononciating” en anglais; c’est “pronouncing”.
Thank you - my French is pretty poor, but I do my best.
@@dorianphilotheates3769 Oh ! My english is that bad ! Thks !
Philippe Delorme - Your English seems very good - a good deal better than my French, I wager. 🙂

Ah, good to know. And yes, lots of people appreciate the refillable option these days.
Thanks for watching.
Hall of Fame RUclips comment right here. I’m laughing so hard! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to retract Terri’s cap with a straight face again!
@@dave21802180 - 🙂
I’m with you. Glad to see the fussy twist cap go.

Yes, I also think there’s a link between the two.

Terre d'hermes...big citric wood 🍊🌳
Givree has timur and minerals.
Yes, the pepper is quite prominent at the start.

Well… I do still think it’s quite an interesting scent 😆
That house write stuff for his audience (not us )
You’re probably right.
Eau très très fraiche was way BETTER !
It certainly had more ‘zing’. But I’m not sure this one is trying to be ‘fresh’ exactly.

Very true… but then we’d be deprived of a good deal of entertainment.
