Y’all need to have these architects react to some of the JeraCraft builds
@@0630don *yes.*

Yeah. Decked Out's building BABY!
grians mansion tho
Xisuma's towers tho
They will flip out
I wanna see them build houses in Minecraft that would be a episode.
they r pro so they would charge alot just to made a block house...
Yesssssss please

There's a video of another architect building a house in Minecraft and one in fortnite
Dude that'd be sick af, maybe if we're lucky one of them will wanna try out Minecraft after this and we can see what they decide to build

ark you mean? wth is arc

@@rooster8659 yes ark 😂
I'm really surprised of how they can't tell what construction block/material they're seeing and how my 8 year old cousin can. I think Minecraft has a pretty simple yet accurate graphic design (as in how blocks look, the textures, the colors, etc.) for them not realizing what some of these are; like use your imagination just a tiny little bit, it's a game lol
They are also on the spot and have to speed run commentary for content as it flies in front of them, both making sense of what's happening without knowing things like how to remove water in mc and the flow of the mc artist. Etc. Its a lot of stuff happening that if you never played mc, would look very strange.
Cry
Are u dumb.. the fact u respect minecraft builds more than real actual people who design in real life blows my mind. The reason they have no knowledge about how anything looks in the game or anything about the game is that they have a life. And have u never seen anything from real life...I get that it's just a game but don't comment about how they have no knowledge and how ur 8 year old cousin can tell by each block. Minecraft is not something to be compared to real life and u shouldn't bring someone who plays the game and compare them to someone who doesn't. That's dumb but it comes from u who probably never touched grass before. I feel like u never touched grass before because u literally said the textures are close to reality and real life but that's wrong.
@@docknives3792 correct. This guy has no reason to complain because they never played the game. And also the fact he compared a child to them blows me as the child has played the much longer before these guys even reacted soo yea.
@@rocknroll5941 well, think about the assumptions you would run on without knowing the game personally. you think, kids game, simple block placement systems, very basic almost lego like simplicity to the design detail, so you think about it with childbrain. what color is "wood" to a 7 yr old? brown. and if you don't know the game, would you assume that the game just had "Wood"? of course. would you assume it had Birch/oak/spruce/etc variants? probly not. now the childbrain mentality fails them and so to compensate, they start trying to just use their professional logic and experience. what has even striation/smooth markings, is light tan color, and often placed down in shales/plates/planks for flooring and facade work? sandstone brick/limestone flooring.
simple error in their logical reasoning due to lack of information combined with overeducation/overspecialization. they say "when all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail", but what if all you have is a particle accelerator? than even simple problems like a nail look like coordinating/controlling positively charged ions moving at lightspeed.
in short, "They're overthinking it".
"People who have never seen minecraft before get confused"
A lot of their reactions are like that, see the space experts react to dead space. These videos are not always good if it has anything abstract because the experts are never informed on the games before hand.
@@resentfuldragon the martial artists reacting to yakuza was much better
@@resentfuldragon Actually, that just gave me an idea, and it seems so obvious that I'm not sure why more "person who does thing reacts to that thing but different" videos do it. I can understand, and even prefer, using people who aren't familiar with the source material, because it offers an outside perspective. But they should give them a quick run-down on necessary information required to understand what's going on.
For example, in this video, before recording, they should've told them what some important, widely used blocks are and what they look like (also making sure to not choose builds/videos that rely on texture packs, so that they don't need to be told, "So this is wood planks, but so is this and this and this and this...though I think shaders are fine for this), as well as explaining that blocks don't fall to the ground, except for gravel, sand, concrete powder, and water (also lava, but unless the builds chosen utilize lava, there would be no need to explain it).
Also, as I saw someone in another comment point out, they should've just chosen better builds. I thought the medieval house looked good, but the tree house wasn't even a tree house, and the underwater base was just...even I could do better than that. Even the insane over-reliance on overly-detailed textures and shaders don't help it.
LIMESTONE COMES FROM TREES
I was confused first time there is everything out of blocks
There lack of simple Minecraft knowledge hurts me even though it shouldn’t
I don't even play this and it hurt me. They did the same for the sims too. They keep comparing it to real life. THIS IS GAME LOGIC OKAY
It wouldn’t hurt them to research the game a bit beforehand, how did they not know what a farm was?
@Bruhhify there's always that one guy who has to be a smarty-pants 💀✋🏾
SAME DKDKSK
*Their there they're deer dear
*Your you're
I like how architects reacts to Minecraft, in the way that they criticize the logic and the physics of it "using that material there is not realistic, using this material would not work". That's not the point of Minecraft. Minecraft is all about color, shape and texture, the blocks used to achieve this does not matter. Minecraft is about making it look good, not about realistic structural integrity. Would love to see architects reacting to Minecraft from a purely artistic perspective, without the veil of realism blocking them from seeing the art.
@Michael Lee It's a strange point
I think that's the whole point of having architects react to it though, to get that point of view whereas most people playing the game have already tuned out that part of the game and accepted it for the shape and texture only. The whole point of their reaction is supposed to be a realistic and grounded take on what they see, I think it was fine.
@Michael Lee yea but this is a fucking video game there’s no need to take it so damn serious
@@PK5_144 Your whiny comment is taking it more serious than they did. They were paid to react as architects. Why are you crying? It's a RUclips video no need "to take it so damn serious" clown
@@IBBMS yea I never took it so serious so I think y should relax. All I said was they have a hint of confusion that seems a little more complex than it needs to be
It's funny how different their idea of what a house to "live in" is. I think in MC as long as it looks cool and you can get chests, brewing, enchantment, and a bed in that's really all that you need, kind of funny for them to suggest a bathroom lol

I love how they compare a Pixelated game to real life.I mean what do you expect for minecraft players to be realistic, that would take the fun out of it.
Best builds are realistic or atleast they have some kind of structure , there are some exceptions but most of the time you want your builds to be supported so they don't look unstable or out of place

They keep calling wood “limestone” and “dark stone” and its driving me insane

I think because of the texture packs.
The texture packs are probably making them think that. Plus they are architects, they don’t usually use wood like 90% of the structures and things
Because wood used for building in the real world, except for maybe floors, don't have that texture. They look more like shaved wood logs irl.

This was a wonderfully refreshing take on Minecraft builds. These two were a treat. Unlike other "experts react" videos, they didn't fixate on the same points in a negative way. Rather than harp on about how physics isn't there, they showed excitement at how liberating it would be and how designs could be changed. They didn't compete for the spotlight, they engaged with each other, it was very pleasant. I am a little sad they weren't shown super-grand designs that really demonstrate the scope of what is achievable in Minecraft with so many talented builders, but I guess we can't have it all as an audience.
