Am I the only one seeing the misogyny in this video? Obviously no one is harmed, it’s just a game but it clearly stands for/shows something.
The whole dialogue with Riju proves Link should be let in, she literally gives him permission. But either she doesn’t want the other Gerudo seeing a voe, she doesn’t tell the guards he's allowed, or the guards just don't care. I think it's the last one, they just hate Link.
Not to mention practically half the npcs find out your disguise and literally don’t care. It’s like no one follows the rules yet they still exist for some reason
It's because she doesn't want to be a bad chieftain and doesn't want the other Gerudo seeing Link. She says so herself! (Wait maybe the guards think Link is trans)
Why would the knights hate link? I feel like we always forgot that the gerudo have a different culture compared to hylians to have a voe in their town would cause an insane upset in what they stand for when it comes to their values.
I always figured that keeping up the appearanve of the tradition matters more. Letting in a voe who went trough the trouble of disguising themselves as a vai is good enough. Either the guards enjoy it when voe disguise themselves as vai and let them past, or maybe, if they crossdress, they are effeminate enough to pass anyways. Who knows.

By the time that you're done with all the sidequests in Gerudo, most of the town knows that you're male and either keep it a secret or don't care. By that point it really becomes a weak excuse to enforce the law on Link.
Because it’s still tradition. Riju can’t allow him in, despite his importance, because it would fly in the face of her people and values. Sure, they allow him in the disguise, but it’s essentially a matter of principle. The chieftain can’t be known to simply allow a man to freely enter town.

You can also do the second cutscene without the disguise by windbombing from one of the ledges where you get the ice. There is a path above where the you can safely glide all the way to riju's balcony and land near her and run towards her if needed to trigger the cutscene.
Programming wise: I assume they made the town have a huge pillar of invisible wall, which triggers whenever female Link enters. However, this video also implies that there's a constant system of "checks" which looks to see if non-female Link is within the walls. If he is, then sound the alarm.
I still think it's funny how many of the gerudo actually don't care. Quite a few of them can see through Link's disguise, they just don't mind him being there. My guess is, that the law is only a thing to keep the thirsty weirdos out and Link is decent enough for them to not mind... however, outwardly, they still have to make it seem like they do mind, so none of the creepy guys get any fancy ideas.

I imagine you could just use the fire unloading glitch, walk a couple steps, and light another fire to do the glitch again, and slowly but surely get around town. You could theoretically use this to get to the secret shop where'd you'd be safe (although you probably would have to have it already unlocked, because as is demonstrated In the video, the text boxes required to enter the password will immediately get Link caught up on their closure, kinda defeating the point of the whole thing.) You could theoretically do every quest and obtain the thunder helm this way (although it would be *painfully* slow given the aforementioned roadblock with text boxes, requiring the glitch to be redone everytime you needed to talk with an NPC), without ever obtaining the Gerudo Gear. The only quest I can see being a problem is the one in which you need to talk to the hydromelon-eating Gerudo atop the wall. Perhaps it is possible to climb the wall in time, but it would be tight. Yeah that's what I was wondering 🤔 Maybe if you chained campfires it might be possible, or like you said a speed elixir.
How do yall even have time to do this? This is awesome 🤣🤣🤣
