Good fix when it comes time to have to replace it if it's to pricey there are a lot of other types of silinoides like off old junk mowers or cars an trucks snowplows that cud be fitted into it as well that cud be re used
Hey Charles, I did consider just getting a cheap starter solenoid but I was concerned about duty cycle. This one will be energized for long periods off time and it seems to have passed the test of time without burning up. That was a factor in making my decision to fix it. Thanks for hanging out.
Nice fix Morgan…and when you have the choice of buying something that is well made and repairable it’s a better choice than the cheap throw away version (within reason)
Nice save👍🏻 If the headlight switch in that truck starts giving you trouble, they're simple to disassemble and clean up aswell! My 1990 c1500 had an aftermarket switch when I got it in 2008. Seemed like i had do replace it annually, till i pulled an oem one at our salvage yard and cleaned it up internally and externally 5-6 years ago. Trouble free since.
Thanks for info, I’ve done the same with power window switches. One time I was curious about a module that quit working, (I don’t remember what it was for) I cut it open , and it had a fuse soldered into it that was blown. I replaced the fuse and put it back into service.

Absolutely, and to be completely truthful, I’m a lot better at eating sandwiches than I at making them. Thanks!
