My friend once said God will give you someone when you’re ok with being alone.
This is prosperity gospel by another name. Not hating, just cautioning. Loneliness is hard. Living alone is hard. You can be okay with it, be content with it, and still feel that truth that is "it is not good for (wo)man to be alone". We are relational beings and are made to exist in community. The sentiment your friend has shared is lovely at face value. But what happens when you're okay with being alone, genuinely enjoy your own company, invest in yourself and your relationship with the Lord, and after 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, 10 years... That mindset will only lead to self-doubt, confusion, beating yourself up for wanting someone but "if I can just be okay with being alone, if I can just be content...." that is prosperity gospel by another name. God will give you x when you achieve y. No. God may give you x at any time of his choosing. All that he asks of us is that we love him and trust him. No hate, just be careful. Sounds nice, but such sentiments are not good for you and can lead to hurt and annoyance and pain that is unnecessary

And while , yes, I am trying to be a better version of myself, I still feel lonely at times when I see other couples holding hands for example. Love is beautiful but needs sacrifice, God is teaching ourselves to sacrifice first to learn how to really value other people and put his will in the first place...it is not easy to seek God, being very honest, but i don't regret because i know He is the truth. As Job said, even if He kills me i am still awaiting on Him. Some day my jar of tears will be full and his mercy will reach me. He is my love and who fills my life❤.

@@AyshKing I have felt this heavily these past couple of weeks, it sounds crazy but it is God's will for us to experience suffering because there's so many reasons why it's important. One analogy I like to use is exercise, when you're first starting to work out, it hurts like crazy and nothing feels good about it. But as you go through the fire, you build discipline and your body slowly becomes more fit. In the same way, it's not like God is sitting up there happy that we are crying and that there's kids out there w/ cancer. I 100% agree that those are horrible things, yet, even Jesus went through suffering and God used that to redeem us all. Ik its easy to see suffering from a negative lens, trust me, its not fun. But God has a plan for you in your suffering, He uses things for our good-that's Romans 8:28. Repent and read the Bible for yourself and see that God does not rejoice when you suffer, but He is with us and will give us the strength to keep on going, so that we may glorify Him and bless others when they are going through the same thing. Before we go out searching for love in a partner, we need to search for Gods love first, and i find it pretty incredible i'm seeing these signs from the Lord that I will find love in a woman one day. God is good❤✝️🙏
I am an Ex Muslim for 10 years now. Jesus reveiled himself to me three times within 1,5 years. I found love in Christ. As sad as it is, we can't find true love in most people. I am now 28 years old and I can truly say that I know not a single person who loves with full heart.
This is the reality but we have to love and share the Love we know from God. This is what makes us great.
I grew up with horrible parents. Not wanna go into detail here but I found forgiveness through Christ and I forgave them many years ago. Also I shared the gospel with them but they refuse to believe me. There is nothing I can do anymore, I tried everything to save them because they dont see their mistakes, their horrible acts they did to us, their kids. May the Lord have mercy with them, with all. Repent now and be born again all of you. Our time is limited for sure. I've seen many young people die around me. The last one was a guy, just 22 died in a horrible car accident in January of this year. He had no time to repent but I can just sit here and hope that he is in heaven.

After my 3 year failed relationship I thought I’d never find love like that again despite the fact it wasn’t really love it was lust and I always wanted to understand what love truly is and it’s the way god loves us that’s what love truly is and if your a big opened minded person who reads the Bible you get a good summary on love and how you can build yourself into that same level of love god gives us , I needed this video since I kinda want someone but being isolated 12 months from my relationship really brought me closer to god and he changed how I think mentally spiritually and emotionally and molding me into someone who can properly love next time around and with the gift of discernment I’ll be able to find this love someday

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I've been struggling with a pretty difficult situation where both the person I'm interested in and I are already so connected, but they're scared to take thst leap of faith with me. At first I didn't understand, but I now believe that perhaps God has given me this chance to improve upon myself, to understand who I am, and to get closer to God. The next time that we meet I hope to be as close to God as I've ever been, and if God wills it, to be the partner they rightfully deserve.

Im 21 yrs old, yeah I’ve messed around, been partying before, but now that im getting older, I realized that I want someone I can build with. 5months ago, my grandparents asked me if I have a girlfriend, I told them that at the moment to find a girl that’s loyal, doesn’t use you or mislead you is so hard.. besides that, I’ve realized that I need to love myself and be loyal to myself, get comfortable being alone.. now I’ve met a girl, we friends and taking things slow, somehow I feel that if I play my cards right this time, maybe she is the one.. yeah it sounds weird.. but she’s everything I asked god for, I pray that I’ll be able to keep her around and eventually take things further. I thank the Lord for bringing this video to my eyes. Just seconds ago I was writing a letter to God and I was asking Him to fill that part of my heart that seeks romance and love, because I've been craving it. A LOT. However, though I am craving it, I am not ready for it. Not yet. There is still so much in me that the Lord has to transform. I still need to grow in many areas, especially for a relationship. I wouldn't say that it's always gonna be easy and peaceful with the right person. Because sometimes we ourselves are the problem. I have so many high expectations of my boyfriend and I want him to be this and that and then I'm disappointed when he doesn't act the way I want. I'm also insecure and have an anxious attachment style so even when everything is fine I am still scared he's gonna leave me. This video reminded me of what love is and that my actions are wrong. I need to show affection and love first and I need to accept him the way he is. He is really a wonderful guy and I need to become better for him.

I am 16 right now. I feel like there is some kind subconscious pressure to be in love right , to find a partner, be in a relationship while your teenage years and apparently I’m a victim of it too. I have never been in a relationship, and even tho it may sound stupid, for me not finding love young seems kinda scary. But just maybe God is trying to show me, that there is no real pressure, and I need to focus on finding myself. After all being in a relationship is not everything. I am glad this video find me, a reality check.

Thank you for this video. I have recently been trying to find god. I know this was not a good thing of me to do and I understand this was not a good way of me to think, but before I used to see christens as people full of hate. I thought this mostly because of how I saw people that identified as christens acted. I saw them act hateful towards other people, and I realized that in the Bible it says to love everyone and forgive your neighbors. That is something I stand by and I realized how amazing Christianity is I have always believed that there was a god or some higher being out there. And I believe that he sent me all these signs and other videos like this to help me. I’m still on this journey, but I am finding god and hopefully I’ll get there.

Actually we get to know ourselves the best when we live with a family, people who have been living with us for a long time. Because there is 0 pretentiousness in interactions with them and you get to know how irritable, mean, lazy or uncompassionate you can be. When we live alone, we're quiet and calm and comfortable. But when there are people who constantly want something from us, we get to know the side of ourselves that doesn't show while living alone

I’m so grateful to able to open RUclips the time that I did because I needed to hear this. I got out of a relationship, yesterday, a guy I met in the world, and I got saved and soon after, I knew it was not going to work out I’m beyond grateful to have the opportunity to build a stronger bond with Christ. Yes yes yes !!!! I’m in SLAA and learning this. I want everyone to know what I learned - there’s nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with wanting love… but I was looking for love in wrong spaces and that’s okay too because past me didn’t had tools but I have them now 💛
I’m apart of a different religion but I appreciate hearing this regardless. In SLAA, we are encouraged to find our own higher power (it could be our intuition). Keep asking God.
I’m relapsing a lot. I started dating at 23 and it broke me losing my first. I’m 26 now and late 20s scare me. Finding someone to be gentle with is what I want, truly. We aren’t in control - it’s God!!!
Do not walk by sight, walk by faith. Even if your eyes are closed, God will take u to the right path. Trust him. Before making any decision, I’m asking - what will God have me be? I want to walk the beautiful path he made for me because I have too long going a wrong path.

You can waste a lot of your life with manipulators and liars this way, some demonic women in my case.
I'm 35 and have to go through a pretty big reset now after becoming a Christian, and God may be giving me financial blessings but that doesn't wind back the clock, so just be careful and learn to become a good judge of character... don't chase love so much that you confuse it for something else.
Many people are not mature enough to actually love selflessy early in life, to build or collaborate in an honest way.
