to me it's frusterating as hell watching her Say "where some thing to pick up " (in regards to weapons) as she walks by a dang weapon's locker 5-6 times before noticing it. or the millions and 1 times she does the same while walking over dropped weapons not once picking them up.
Yes Nathion Fillion is one of the voices, and when you get to "The Ark" you will also hear Katee Sackhoff! Vehicle ProTip: Marines have unlimited ammo, and have acceptable accuracy. Find heavy weapons, such as a fuel rod gun then switch weapons with a marine so that they climb in your Warthog with you. Its massive firepower.
4:20 So the large metal debris you see throughout the level was what remained of the Space Elevator after it collapsed. In Halo 2, when the Prophet’s Carrier made a jump in the city, the slip space rupture weakened the support rings. You can actually watch the collapse in Halo3:ODST
At 50:05 to crouch jump, you crouch after you have started your jump. This will cause Master Chief to tuck his legs in while in midair, so you can access higher platforms.
It's cool to see you have as much fun as you do already, because when you know every level, when you're familiar with every weapon, vehicle, and equipment, and when your skills are fully developed, it's even better. Keeping every Marine alive through higher difficulties, tackling each section in numerous different ways, and just killing everything with badass efficiency, like a true Spartan, is why I've played through these campaign levels so many times.

Lucy, you did good on giving a rocket launcher to a Marine...but... it needs to be the one that gets in the passenger seat, not the gunner. Wait for the Marines to get onboard, ask the passenger to get off, switch him/her with the rocket launcher, then get back in the drivers seat (or switch weapons and then drivers seat). You now have a turret gunner AND a rocket gunner.
random trivia, in this game, Nathan Fillion voices a sergeant, Adam Baldwin voices a heavy gunner & Alan Tudyk voices a pilot, mirroring their roles in the tv series Firefly. All three are massive fans of the Halo franchise, often playing during their downtime while shooting the series. The three actors go on to voice 3 of the 4 main NPC characters in Halo 3 ODST, & Fillion continues to reprise his role in later Halo games
At 1:21:35 the flood forms that look really big are called "Pure Flood-forms". They can turn into 3 different types of flood creatures. Either the big guys that swing at you, the stationary ones that shoot at you, or the 4-legged spider looking creatures that run around.

Glad to see you back Lucy! Been dying for some more Halo vids. But the wait was worth it, it's always a blast to watch you play. I forget how good Halo 3 is. The vehicle sections feel a lot better imo. And they really knocked it out of the park with the flood this time around. The new creatures made fighting the flood feel fresh again, and the way that one marine is infected right in front of Chief is just creepy. The flood is more menacing than ever.
43:44 is the very first time I have ever seen a marine smack the Chief SO hard that he not only broke the equipment you were using, but also laid a smack down on the Chief lol
Honestly, Halo 3 is Bungie's magnum opus. It's also the best in the series in terms of game play. Story goes to Halo 2. Halo CE has the best difficulty curve if you ignore the fact that the Magnum is OP.
even considering the magnum's power it's stil the best difficulty curve. it's just super soft on easy or normal difficulty but the difficulty progression is logical as you step from one to the next difficulty across all maps. while halo 2 is freaking brutal in spots on even normal difficulty while being easy in other places even when on legendary. halo 3 is got an ok diffculty ramp , though it goes steep in the later stages of the game. (that being it really cranks up difficulty in those later stages if youa re higher than normal diff)
Yayyy, I've been waiting for this 😁 like someone else said, please don't worry about not knowing what to do right away in certain sections of the game. It might not be our first time seeing this, but it is yours, and we ALL remember being confused at certain parts back in the day 😂
Hopefully she sees this comment, but Lord Hood is the only one staying back on Earth! Miranda, Johnson, Arbiter, Chief, Guilty Spark (Oracle), and the Shipmaster are all heading to the Ark to see what Cortanas plan is for the flood, and also to stop Truth and the Covenant
I replayed through Halo 3 for the first time in a very long time so I could refresh my memory on the game before watching you play through it too. I did the exact same thing on the Scarab, took me forever to find that little room you were actually supposed to shoot at for some reason, just ran around in circles.
Imagine being the Elites fighting alongside Master Chief and realizing he's not any stronger than they are. That this dude killed hundreds of their kind by sheer luck and determination. Must be depressing.
Here is a small Equipment guide: Regenerator( green flash): Helps regenrate your shields faster. Power Drain(Blue flash) Drains your shields and emp vehicles. Bubbleshield: Creates a shield in a sphere shape around you. Barrier shield: Creates a shield to hide behind. Flashbang( Yellow flash): Blinds the player. Gravity Lift: Helps you jump to high places. Radar jammer: jams your radar by filling it with false enemy locations Invisibility: Makes you unseen for a limited time. Invincibility: Makes you immune from damage for a limited time. Dropped by Brute Chieftans. Auto Turret: An automated turret that will kill enemies.
The Scarab also has side doors that can be blown open (with one or two plasma grenades, or anything else with equivalent firepower). These doors are outlined, but it's a bit subtle. They drop down like a bridge gate, leaving a little ramp for the Chief to climb up. It's easier getting in that way when the back is too far off the ground. Also, the area where you fight the scarab has an elevator that takes you up to a crane. From there, it's possible to drop down onto the scarab without downing it.
@@--mr4yo I can't think of any games where a crouch jump is actually crouching before jumping, unless you're aiming for a hole/ledge that is below jump height. Like a window or something
7:19 you actually missed the warthog getting chopped into pieces by a chopper. Chopper is such a unique vehicle and its so sad 343 was never utalize it properly

So I'm at about 8:30 and I have to say, you're right - your driving is looking good. Like... I can tell you understand how the vehicle handles, if that makes sense? Also, yeah, the way vehicles which were in motion AT ALL, even just barely, insta-killed characters in CE was pretty silly. Thankfully the collision physics got a little more forgiving in the later games. Gonna stop typing and watch the rest now. Glad you're still enjoying Halo, that cliffhanger after 2 was tough to deal with at the time but I think 3 was worth the wait.
The Gravity Hammer works wonders against the Flood, I highly recommend it when they try to get close to you! Even better than the sword and much better than the shotgun
52:24 the correct order of operations for a crouch jump is to jump and then crouch at the apex of your jump because it brings master chiefs legs up to his torso allowing him to clear ledges that would get caught on his feet Also this scarab stopped in the perfect position underneath one of the cranes and you could of dropped down onto it from above :p (and on the hill a warthog would of been tall enough to jump off from onto the scarab but this one is a maybe cus you would need to position the warthog right) 53:01 trying to jump onto the edges of the ramp where it lips over is harder then jumping diagonally towards the downward slope of the ramp in the middle
actually the lore i read on it says that pure forms are what';s left after a hosts is 100% completely consumed. it's the evolution of the flood 1. popcorn flood > host flood > pure form that's why we didn't see any until halo 3. in halo 1 and 2 they jsut ran into us so had not completely comsumed any hosts yet. but in halo 3 they had been traveling to earth for a few days and thus by the time they arrived most hosts bodies were consumed leaving the pure forms.
Funny that I don’t see anyone talking about how close Lucy came to squishing that one marine after she managed to squeeze her Warthog between the barricades. Literally. If she fell even a mm more to her left. That marine was DEAD. The reckless abandon of her driving in some cases, then over-the-top caution. Interesting paradigm. Caution when she should be ‘pedal to the metal’ then balls-to-the-wall, when she should be more cautious (the amount of times she drove off the cliff without realizing it) This all coupled with the sheer “no no no no no, I am NOT advancing!” When cries of marines are heard, followed by the ruthless execution of a friendly Elite who was in the middle of a fight. I see how it is 😤. Should have mercied that Marine who fragged his superiors once the Flood hit. Only reason he didn’t have a gun in his hand, was due to the suggestion of deleting his save file. People get really upset about insinuation of restarting your game. I think it was there back in 07, someone should be able to fact-check me for that. I helped him, barrel stuffed him, during my first playthrough. Not even 10 years old iirc. Wow. How time flies.

In a lot of games, it is crouch then jump. Halo's is more the equivalent of lifting your knees while jumping rather than an actual crouch-jump.

Funny that I don’t see anyone talking about how close Lucy came to squishing that one marine after she managed to squeeze her Warthog between the barricades. Literally. If she fell even a mm more to her left. That marine was DEAD.
The reckless abandon of her driving in some cases, then over-the-top caution. Interesting paradigm. Caution when she should be ‘pedal to the metal’ then balls-to-the-wall, when she should be more cautious (the amount of times she drove off the cliff without realizing it)
This all coupled with the sheer “no no no no no, I am NOT advancing!” When cries of marines are heard, followed by the ruthless execution of a friendly Elite who was in the middle of a fight. I see how it is 😤. Should have mercied that Marine who fragged his superiors once the Flood hit. Only reason he didn’t have a gun in his hand, was due to the suggestion of deleting his save file. People get really upset about insinuation of restarting your game. I think it was there back in 07, someone should be able to fact-check me for that. I helped him, barrel stuffed him, during my first playthrough. Not even 10 years old iirc. Wow. How time flies.
