- My Daisen in Tottori is one of my favorite places to visit in Japan because - it’s just not as well know meaning it’s a paradise for those who want to see the real Japan. This is a lovely autumn scene of golden rice paddies ready for harvest and drying rice.

Mt.Daisen in Tottori Prefecture is located at the Chugoku District of Honshu island, Japan. This Mountain is included in "100 most famous mountains in Japan". I live in Shimane Prefecture, and sometimes watch beautiful Mt. Daisen, visitting or passing to Yonago city. Welcome and Thanks for coming there.
Hello John san
Im Japanese, but Come to mind Old American song, 「Home on the Range,」
I have never been to America, although there is no buffalo 😅
Japanese Tanka
実るほど、頭を垂れる、稲穂かな
(Minoruhodo koubewo tareru inahokana)
Rice drips with weight. Just like Rice bow down. If people grow, they become polite.
Hi I am from Bangladesh. Thanks for this excellent video
Thank you John, have really enjoyed these little glimpses of the countryside.
OMG! Realy beautiful! Thank you John for the beautiful places your are taking us!
I hope to visit there.
Fun to be behind the scenes at such beautiful locations. I've really enjoyed these last few live streams. Thanks!
Steve Ridgeway / NRT GO I think when you see the NHK World episode, it’s going to be more meaningful to have shared this live a month before :)
Nice screen shot of Mt daisen!!!! Never forget that drone footage John of the last time there!!!! 👌
There funny guys too the nhk crew!!!! 😂
Hi, John! I don't know if it's the video or my connection (I believe it's the video), but there's an issue. In the beginning of it, there are some very short "sort-of-rewinds". You say something and then the video goes back a couple seconds and you say exactly the same thing (with the images jumping back as well). This happens about three times at the first minutes of the video.
Yorkshire Tea RUclips is working to fix it :)
Nice picturale composition this streaming!
Can you eat that rice raw like raw corn? Is it hard or soft like peas? I’ve never seen rice in a field. Amazing!
7:00 Post card material. Such a beautiful day :D
the social experiment thing sounds interesting , they call the organized lining up outside shops to increase business, "Sakura" in Japanese, I guess you already knew that
Blast! I've missed another live stream. What's is most disappointing is that I was here but didn't get any notice until just now. Oh well, c'est la vie.
UFO Bob I’m so sorry I couldn’t leave an advanced notice on Patreon either for this one. I simply felt it was too beautiful not to share and had only a split second to decide to do it. I’m glad I did - it’s so lovely, I’ll rewatch it myself back in Tokyo! I should just send you a message next time :) or have a direct mail list that always goes out automatically ...
@@onlyinjapanGO Not a problem. And you made the right call; the location was simply stunning. And though I appreciate the thought, don't go out of your way for me. Of course, if you do something that alerts the entire Patreon Community, then that's something different. Anyway, have a pleasant flight back home. Cheers.
Hi. Have you been to JDF Proving Grounds near east of Mt Fuji. No wonder the soil itself are volcanic black.
Watch out for the snakes in the field john
Sorry missed it
nice bro
where are all the birds? have they eaten them all?
Winters coming. They flew south? - to Okinawa?
wow i missed this one was out to dinner for my brothers birthday. now i feel bad 524 views and only 74 likes. Ill try to make up for it on the next one!
I missed it, too. At least I can give it a thumbs-up even if it's not live.
Yeah I was a absolutely beautiful shot of Daisen and the surrounding area! totally deserves all the thumbs up! just worst timing for me! John went live just as we where sitting down with the family at the restraint and by the time I said hellos and ordered so i could sneak out it ended! hope you have a great night!
Sorry about no notice! It was so beautiful I had to make a choice fast and just did it. Moments come and go like this without notice. This was as much for the playback (so we can see it anytime) as it was for those live. Just needed to make it part of the series :) thank you always for the amazing support!!
No worries, was a fantastic view! i completely understand! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us! it is always awesome to see what you have to show us next!
I couldn't agree with you more. This area is just stunning. I am planning my next trip to Japan and I was debating whether to go here or to Fukushima. Thanks to John's advice, however, I have decided on the Fukushima area; I want to spend some time relaxing at an onsen, and he said that between the two locations, that Fukushima is the better choice. Well, got to go. I just purchased a FireTV Stick and I am setting it up so I can watch John's programs on my television. Hopefully I will catch you on the next live stream. Cheers.
