Thank you so much for this. I got a new used remote for my 2000 Tempurpedic S cape. Had no idea how to reprogram it. Had some replace the motor for me a few years ago. Old bed is great for my guest room. Mine was the first one demonstrated. 👍
Thanks! This saved me a call to P&L's Customer Support, which I was not looking forward to. Our adj. frame is over 10 years old, so not sure how knowledgable they would been for this, but a testate to the quality of their frames that it is still working. Looks like the pairing logic might be in the motor's circuit board and not the little box, for I have a single box and a Y-adapter to two motors yet the remotes were operating both sides independent instead of together. Likely that was the factory setup. All that was required was to re-learn both remotes and it is back to controlling the bed as a whole. We have a Calf. King Sleep Number mattress which wasn't available as a slit, so need them to work as one. Sort of regret not getting a split king in which case we would likely use this more. Still it is nice to have when we both want to read at night.

My only question is how to program a split-base with one remote. I can't press both black box buttons at the same time. Even though I bought my Cal-king adjustable split-base from sleep number 20 years ago, it's an S-Cape remote. This must have been before select comfort got their own remote. This also explains why the customer non-service dude said I was NOT telling him the truth. He was uneducated about their first adjustable bases. So glad this video taught me how to re-program the remote.
the green and gray leggett and platt for the classic is what ive asked about on here, now the ads are showing that exact remote for the ergo raven and that it is no longer available and a generic remote, that is for the ergo raven, is the replacement. but all the ads say that all leggett and platt base's have a different remote. does this mean if i find a ergo raven remote it will work on my older classic that ive had since the mid 2000's.
I just purchased a split king L&P 100 Series II adjustable (2 Twin XL) bases. Can I buy an L&P remote with the memory settings and sync it to work with these bases?
I have the Leggett and Platt S-cape remote. The chassis/case of the remote broke open, and I have it positioned together so it still works as long as it’s not moved broke open. It looks like it’s from 2004 based on the FCC ID. But ultimately I need a new remote, but they aren’t cheap. so I’m wondering if it’s possible to use your cell phone with Bluetooth to control the bed somehow… If there’s an application out there or something to do so… Do you happen to know? The remote & Control box communicate via Bluetooth, correct? So I am thinking perhaps it could be paired to my iphone, but the adj bed & remote are from an older model. Perhaps it can’t be done but figured I’d ask. Also in your video and mention power down box… I’m not sure if I have one, but if it’s part of the control box and under the middle of the frame, it would be impossible for me to get at it. Can the programming be done by unplugging the bed for 30 seconds, and then plugging it in again and doing right away? Someone told me that doing it like that, will give you 90 seconds to program once you plug it in…Do you know if that’s true? I truly would appreciate anyone’s help with those questions because I need to figure out something. IfI have to purchase a replacement remote, I guess I’ll have to, but I want to make sure I can program it and get it wirking If I’m going to drop $130 on it. thank you in advance!

I have the sleep number type and two beds , one bed the adj base works fine ,the other doesn't work at all after the batteries went dead in both the programing box and the remote . I can program either remote to work on the one bed but cant get either remote to operate the non working base . when trying to program on the bad one the led will turn yellow while holding the button for 1 second but will not blink when trying to program with the remote . and when you press the button on the working box for 1 sec it turns red and then flashes when programming with the remote. does this indicate the programming box is bad ? if so do you sell replacements . the manufacturing date is Dec 11 2012
little red light comes on for second, but when I try to program those 2 buttons my remote will not blink slow or fast. Ive got the old green and white remote. Dear Adjustable Bed Doctor. I have a Blackstone adjustable Bed Remote and I believe it is not communicating with the Control System under the bed. The batteries in the remote are good since I can see lights blinking on the remote when pressed and I also have a cable that I can connect directly to the Control Box but none of those options make the motors vibrate or move. Is there a way to program the remote to communicate with the Control Box since I see that there is a Programmer Port on the Control Box
Jayo Vera unfortunately Blackstone is out of business and no factory parts are available. These beds were predominantly sold through Rooms to Go stores. As far as the “program port” that’s just for uploading software from manufacturer. If you still have a manual that will give you directions on all programming methods. We may also have a electronic conversion kit to upgrade your bed depending on the model. Call us for more details and info. 615-336-2875
I have two Sleep Number beds with adjustable bases. The remotes are like the first one in your video (but white). The remote to Bed 1 died. I'd like to reprogram the remote from Bed 2 so that it'll work on Bed 1 instead but can't get that done. When I reprogram, it keeps working on Bed 2. Any advice?

Does both bed go up and down same time when you push just one remote? That is what i want to do. I wondered if does that when you use just one remote to control both. Anyone know what I have to do to working bed to replace with a working, but unavailable, remote? i have a Maxwell remote which is dead...and wonder if possible to make it work all functions with a new S-Scape L & P remote.
TT nNaples unfortunately the S-Cape remote will not pair to a Maxwell control box, you have an analog box and the new remotes are digital. We do have an updated electronics kit for Maxwell beds available though. Call us @ 615-336-2875 for more info. We are closed for 4th of July.
I just got the bed and I paired the remote to the box. the only thing I can get to work is the massage button. it won't raise the head or foot just the massage. what is going on with this?

Sorry.. I haven't read through ALL the notes, but you should consider updating your sleepnumber flexfit section. I just changed mine out.. found this video, and still needed ot call tech support due to misinformation. Its not the "unit 1" and "flat" button.. its the "head up" and "flat" button. Also when it begins to flash on and off blue .. thats not the end, its the beginning of the countdown. It needs to flash for a full 10 seconds. I was also warned that sometimes having the unit plugged in to a surge suppressor interferes. plug it straight into the wall for programming.. then you can return it to however you want.

Some of the very first editions of that remote were programmed as described in the video; however, all Flexfit Plus remotes made after 2013 were as you found, Head Up and Flat buttons to program it. We'll get that fixed. Thanks again and sorry for the confusion Guy.
i have the green remote, next to last one you showed, the printed circuit board has a little damage due to battery being left it too long, is there anyone repairs these.
Hi Jimmie, Unfortunately no, the circuitry of that remote is proprietary and owned by Tempurpedic exclusively, so you can't get internal parts for the remote to do a repair. Also, that remote is no longer being manufactured anyway so you can't even buy it new. We do offer a replacement remote that is universal and will work on your bed though, but we'll need some information off your remote to match it up. The123chickenman you simply unplug the bed from power, plug it back into to wall outlet and then press the correct buttons on your remote and hold for 10 seconds. That’s it. Good luck!
Just replaced the motor in my Leggett and Platt, for the second time. Didn't remember how to program remote so watched this video. No light comes on, on my box. But in your video no light came either. This procedure failed to program my remote with the new drive motor.
chiefbanish If the light on your power down box (without batteries installed) isn't Illuminating, it's either the motor isn't getting power or the PD box is bad. Also, in the video above the light does come on for the programming. Please call us if you need more personalized service and troubleshooting.
OK. Your video says nothing about removing batteries. As in you video, the light comes on when pressing the button on the box, but does not blink. Neither in your video, nor on mine. I will remove batteries when i get home and try it again.
I was sent A DIFFERENT REMOTE. No one will call me back! I tried old remote it goes through process but won’t connect. 🤷♀️ So frustrating as I have many health issues & need my bed working!! I can’t find this remote anywhere to figure out WHICH BUTTONS TO USE. My hand is hurting but grateful I was able to install new motor………Call would me nice. Text. 2 messages left. Of course it’s now THE WEEKEND!
UPDATE- I have Sleep number flex fit remote (2nd white remote in video) and the buttons mentioned in the video did not work. I called Leggett and Platt and had to use HEAD UP and FLAT at same time.

Isn't there a way to use the 'custom' button on the MR2 to reprogram a key? I had the 'custom' button programmed to flatten the bed.
Articulate your bed to the desired position, then press and hold Custom button to secure that position.

Do you sell replacement wireless remotes for an 8 year old dual king Craftmatic. I called them and they tried to sell me another bed for $3500.

UPDATE- I have Sleep number flex fit remote (2nd white remote in video) and the buttons mentioned in the video did not work. I called Leggett and Platt and had to use HEAD UP and FLAT at same time.
Thank you for your update! There were just a few models that use the programming method you just described. But not all models.
