- In the game Undertale you get to chose what to name your character, and with being able to choose your name comes Easters eggs that can reference other characters such as papyrus, Alphys or Most notably Frisk Who Turns The Difficulty of the game to hard mode. However hard mode only consists of just the ruins But What If we got to experience the Whole Game in hard mode? In This Video We Get To Explore What It Would look like If We Still Had Hard Mode Enabled After the Ruins. Also If you Like The Video Please Subscribe, it helps me out a lot. Ok jeez guys I was just saying it's most likely not an actual mod and just clips with comments. I'm not saying it's a bad video.
The mixing of all these mods and fangames to make a unofficial full release of hard mode was amazing. A cool idea would have been to use No More Deals or Determination for a Chara boss fight at the end.
DETERMINATION even reads your Savefile so you keep your items from an actual Genocide Route!

You cant really fight canon Chara. That would go against anything Chara is and wouldn't work out. Its sort of like striking yourself if yourself was invincible.
@@stopYmpersonatYngmYacCount If we consider that Chara is a true name for the fallen human (which it states that it is), then choosing Frisk basically is like choosing to be alone. You cut the ties with Chara, without Chara themselves cutting ties with you. Basically, you put yourself in control, not Chara like in the regular geno run
@@maxmanchik Only if you never awakened them with a genocide run beforehand. Chara can not be fought, i never said you can not ignore its side of you. Plus Frisk may well be Charas mummified corpse.

when I played through "Hard mode" in Undertale, I actually didn't know Hard mode existed and was trying to do another pacifist route. So when I beaten it I was kinda annoyed but then when I looked up what hard mode was, I just when "Oh ok" and laughed. Look I never heard about it until that point and it was my first time actually beating Undertale.
Regular hard mode, just goes until the end of ruins, thats what this mod sort is here for

I feel like the Asgore battle is the perfect finally for this. The battle not only is great but the atmosphere for the fight is amazing as well. The music and background makes the fight seem like some super heroic battle for the final fight and for Asgore this is a big heroic battle to determine the fate of everything which is so amazing.
I like how Toriel just leaves in the middle of literally dying

Should've added no more deals as the final fight... it would've worked perfectly since you're technically actually Frisk this run.
Might've aswell added a "Warned" Sans fight while at it.

The combination of all of those mods was amazing, also some mods having a different soundtrack than the original mod also made it unique. Nice vid!
I want to get genocide in hardmode but i don't know mods about this. I think you can help me bc a little before that was first time i beated genocide and sans for me was easyer than undyne

I like how even in this alternate scenario, the genocide run still manages to refuse to give you the ultimate satisfaction at the end. In vanilla, there are only two bosses and you one shot everyone else. Here, we fight more of them, and you're expecting a fight with Chara...
And then you just stab them. Congratulations. You didn't just kill monsters, there's no question that you're a full blown murderer now. Did the player go on to erase all of humanity? Did they get caught and thrown in prison/executed?

I do like this fun idea of just implementing a bunch of fangames into the main story for our own version of a "Hard Mode". So many boss fights...
I love how hardmode is just like, instead of getting lucky and misunderstandings, like this could have been your normal run.
Man... this is a nostalgia trip. Promised sans,Hardmode papyrus,that undyne battle i think i saw before? Alphys neo,mettaton neo 2.0,undertale rejuvenation,and asgore neo. Truly a nostalgic trio. Even promised sans,for as much as it didn't come out much ago.
A truly amazing collage of the community's works. Even if you could have added some toriel fight. Maiby even a flowey one?
The one who truly needed it was toriel, techniquely flowey fights with asgore.

I think we can all agree that Hard Mode makes Chara more of a monster than in the Original Genocide Route. Could you imagine if Toby actually made this into Genocide?

45:44 The mod has implemented the fan boss fight from a fan game into this, and the Taunt Act confirmed it, so I had hoped that this was used.
48:45 Although the music is different from that fan game and that dance pad synced better with it before it was placed into this mod.

The fact that it adds some of the fan made bosses in the game (Alphys NEO and Metatton NEO 2.0) is actually sick

I really was hoping that the modders made new harder versions of the enemies in Snowdin, Waterfall, Hotland, and the Core or at least up the stats and made the attacks harder to dodge.

@@charasrieldreemurr Yeah I know that but still the people that made each mod (outside of the ones that are just boss fights) didn't even raise the stats a bit which makes it feel like that during those parts it's just normal non hard mode gameplay.
Literally the first time I played undertale I named myself Frisk since I knew that's the protagonist's canonical name
I soon learned why it was so hard
What's cool about Undertale: Rejuvenation is that the dialogue changes slightly depending on who you attacked

The first time I played UNDERTALE I tried using the name Frisk, skipped the warning, and thought my father bought a rip-off when I saw the wrong enemies, and the game ending at toriel.
The commentary is easily the best part of this whole video, especially the sans fight
Incredible, new papyrus and undyne fight, and the alphys neo, mettaton neo fight, and rejuvenation mods in one game.
Also Sort of new mechanics for muffet fight such as no healing and no killing till all phases are done.

I would’ve used no more deals for Chara, but this video was really well made, putting together a lot of excellent fan games into one torturous journey
I noticed "promised." and "Rejuvenation" being a couple of the better known ones (and was that unfair undyne or just a similar undyne thing) but the way its all implemented gives a fun feeling of a theoretical hard mode.
during the final stage of the alphys fight with the ddr type attack, I instantly recognised that as memory and the solution to the piano puzzle, so I cant imagine that would be too difficult if you knew the solution very well

I should mention that the reason why the save at 35:03 doesn't have a save text is that it only appears in the genocide run and apparently toby probably forgot to add an area text for it

Im going to be honest when i saw Alphys Neo I was hyped. That hype almost immediately dissipated when I heard the theme was just a remix of the hard mode monster theme, and not the Alphys Neo theme
I wanted that theme for the battle too, but due to copyright reasons I wasn't allowed to use the track and no other tracks compared to it.

I wish hard mode undyne would have went as such:
Undyne blocks monster kid with a shield or something, taking no damage
Sends the bugger away
Undyne phase 1 begins (normal undyne but harder)
Then after needing to deal the exact same amount of hits as to neutral undyne :) phase 2 triggers
Aka undyne the undying but turned to ass beating mode
I think having undyne be a grueling and long two phase boss would be hella rad
I like how there's just a multiple fan games inside this mod

Well papyrus himself says in undertale if frisk was violent he would have fought back and not hold back ( sadly he dies in one hit as he didnt expect to take that much damage )

it actually does make sense since in the fangame (undertale rejuvination) alphys revives papyrus AFTER HE DIES to the human but its off cam. so honestly, what TheDragonFox did was smart since he could have show that part but since its in the players perspective you dont see the part where alphys talks to papyrus and stuff. just for clerification.

What you should have done for the sans fight is last breath instead of rejuvenation. It doesn't make sense to have papyrus alive in this because he ACTUALLY died in the Snowdin fight.
You should have also done no more deals.
Im pretty sure this is all a bunch of fan made fights in a single game. I recognize the undyne and alphys fights definitely. Thought at this point I haven't gotten to see the Mettaton fight, though I'm assuming I know what it is already.
Especially considering the DRASTIC difference in detail and flow in Undyne's fight.
