    Ash and debris can cause your burn pot gasket to stain and eventually deteriorate. Regular cleaning and inspections of your Englander stove and burn pot gasket is the best way to ensure the safe and clean operation of your stove. Having an airtight gasket seal is very important for efficient stove performance and safety. To replace the burn pot gasket, first remove the burn pot by loosening the two bolts that are located under the ash lip, using a ½ socket or open-ended wrench.

    Another thing that could help till you figure out what’s wrong is to wait till a small amount of pellets are in the burn pot, grab a single pellet (long to medium sized) and stick it in the igniter hole touching the igniter and hanging out. In the 10 years I’ve own this model of stove I’ve never had a problem with the igniter lighting my pellets except every once in a while but this is most likely to be a case where the pellets fall in a weird way into the burn pot. Probably the case of being too far away.
    Anyways if this happens I always stick a pellet into the igniter hole and it always lights after this. Hope this helps some people.

    You need to check and see if the bolts behind the burn pot are sticking out or not if they are you need to grind them off flat with the back of the stove and as far as it warping you can hammer it flat again

    Silly question but did englander make any 25-pdvc stoves in 2003 that didnt have an igniter? My step daughter got a used one and swears there is no hole for the igniter to set the pellets on fire and they were told they had to light it manually. Also can you tell me how to factory reset the control board back to the factory settings? Thank you for your help

  • @AKSaiga1982

    You know your stuff. I have the englander pellet stove 25-pdvc for three years now and after is shortly heats up a loud high pitched harmonic squeal comes and goes. It is affected and temporally quieted by increasing the blower fan settings. Ive also removed the rear cover panel and place a 1ft square fan blowing on the fan motor which really seems to help the noise go away. Please help. Im at my wits end after tons of research and replacing the combustion fan motor. Although I did just order a new OEM Blower PU-4C442 as my last ditch guess. Hopefully its just the bearings in there and the new one when it arrives and installed will solve my issue.

    The igniter on these stoves are junk. I've been through many. They don't last. Make sure your seals are good and just light with a torch.

    • @NordicDan
      @NordicDan 2 года назад +1

      That was the conclusion I came to also. Even with new gasket, straight back plate on the burn pot, new OEM hot rod mounted at the manufacturer recommended distance back from the hole, it still only ever ignited once. Now I just torch it every time.

    • @Bob064
      @Bob064 Год назад +1

      I just got mine and both augers were stuck. Probably when moving it on the dolly to get it in we might have jerked it too much. I just removed the motor and the loosened the 4 bolts holding the auger (both are the same..., you might need to wiggle the auger and see if it turns then while holding it in place, tighten the bolts in a crisscross pattern. Check it again if it's ok, reinstall the motor.

      Stove Parts For Less Thanks again... I was thinking there would have to be a jumper or something to tell controller circuit is complete .I found the location on my old board you mentioned it is labeled J2 Vac Sen . And has a black cap . Hello once again . I checked the new board for the jumper for Vac sensor I seen a jumper J 11 to the right the tabs marked Vac sensor . So i checked for mode by pressing up and down buttons at sane time after plug unit in . It was in D mode i have been told the PDV 25 Setting is C & The PVDC 25 is D ? So i fired the stove in C Mode seemed better / Still ended with an E2 . Should i try a homemade jumper to try on the actual spade connection where it says Vac Sensor . Thanks for all of your help

      @billyputnam6892 4 года назад

      @@stovegrillpartsforless4637 hi there my name is Bill and I have been trying to help a lot of people who have what they all say is this New Englander pdv 25 or a little different stove with the dual horizontal outputs from the heat exchanger box. But I keep getting a few people who are absolutely insistent that they have no vacuum switching of any kind and there's no ignitor for start-up and the only information that the controller is seeing is a single wire Temp sensor? They also have a few more buttons on there control and it has letter's from (ABCD) and the other 4series buttons are the normal number series to control the functions of the stove. Ok that aside I will have to do what we don't like to ever do because of the chasing the tail of something I can't properly do a diagnosis of the individual parts! Assuming!yuck I have that word.! Assuming the only information that the controller is seeing is the single wire Temp sensor and it is more than likely to be a bimetallic sensor and it is seeing this information in millivolts or ohm's the control panel needs to see a rising signal over a set Time to decide to keep feeding the lower Auger to get it going through the initial Start-up and then move to the next phase of feeding the fire box pellets and Air in a Timely manner to keep it Running. But without a vacuum switch to tell itself how's it is running either lean or to many pellets and running hot the feed auger has no idea what to do or adjust the top auger speed or the exhaust fan in a way to slow the burn down or speed up the vacuum\Air to increase our efficiency to lean out the fire or slow the air to give the augers enough time to add more pellets and make it run longer and a cooler fire to last longer. But I am having trouble with this working on the temperature sensor working data set streaming either a hotter or cooler fire? Do you have any idea how it works with a single sensor and what the letters do (ABCD) in conjunction with the normal numbers for adjustment to the controller? My New Englander is a old one but it only has the 3buttons under the ON-OFF and the first one under the on is the top Auger feed Speed. The middle button going from Left to Right is the important button that controls the exhaust fan speed to get the most out of the pellet combustion! But again if you don't have a couple of Data sets like a longer exhaust and the fan has to work harder to make a vacuum in the bottom of the fire box is clean and completely burns the materials to Ash. I would think that you would be changing all the speeds on it constantly with the stoves with no vacuum switching and the other sensors combined to be able to walk away from it and not have to be watching it like a baby to keep it 💯 Happy. But my third button on the bottom of the controller all the way to the Left is what a Temp sensor is good for is when to tell the heat exchanger blower fan to come on or off to build more heat in the chamber. Anyhow it's a little after four am and I'm going to bed and think about this stuff yesterday ha ha. But again thanks much for the sounding board and the help! Not to many of us old guys doing much of the older stuff to figure it out instead of just throwing it out there on the corner for the junk pile! Thanks again. Bill
