A Cookman graduate and percussion section leader in 84. Glad they are still a traditional band. Drum Majors still carry that old school flair. Their drum section is not as tight, but they are competitive.
Their inner-voice sound is almost nonexistent. That was always FAM's forte. Plus, the social media world has given many other bands a chance to shine on the national stage. Decades ago, FAMU had a PR monopoly. Not anymore.
@@shako2728 FAMU never has a problem with selling tickets for Homecoming. PVAMU always travels for conference games unless it is right before their Homecoming.
Marching Wildcat here but watching father and son march out together made me get misty. Love it. HBCU luv.

What bands are shinning on the national stage? Cause the only HBCU bands I see still getting props outside of HBCU culture is still FAMU.

FAMU is still one of the better sounding bands, but their wow-factor has diminished. Why? That's the $100.00 question.

Bcu has never been able to out perform the hundred...never...no band over...the difference is clear!!!!
