What if you spend all your time getting all your playlist together and all of a sudden Tidal or Serato pulls out of the partnership? Your SOL just like before. I'm good with downloading my music.
Definitely a potential issue, similar thing happened with Pulselocker a year or two ago
I feel ya' that happened to me a day before my gig when Pulselocker. so I've decided to download and get my catalog built up but I'm already with Tidal so I'll use it too. I just won't be so dependent on it

Aaaand that's the Problem. If they integrated a streaming service properly, with offline saving and permission to record/play public, Id instandly jump onto that platform. But its all kinda shit... Best SC integration I found so far comes from Mixvibes, but they have no offline saving. Bummer....
Keep an eye out for when Beatport's streaming service arrives imminently...

Tidal needs to be offline accessible finally with a battery power controller. The idea is to use somewhere with no power but that also mean no WiFi. Also why not Spotify integration. I’m just being picky, the xlr outs perfect. All other brands go with rca at this size. Nice screen like as n usb. This is solid
Spotify is definitely the one that would encourage a lot of DJs to give streaming a go...
to make playlist using tidal not working for serato dj 3.0
This works great for all the DJ's stuck at home and no clubs or venues open. Lots of music to discover and play with. Too bad Tidal videos don't play in Serato Video. Great video Joey! -51¢

Was excited to see this... But the lack of ability to search the entire Tidal catalog and/or cache playlists for offline use is a deal breaker.
Offline playlists will be the game changer for sure

Yes you do. It's a good idea to playlist your music before hand and play from those playlists in Tidal, to avoid "too much choice"!
If someone requests a song during an event your solution "playlist" can't help.
No but it's much easier than looking at thousands of tracks when you're only playing three hours of music. You can stream/pull off of a hard drive or simply say "Sorry I haven't got it" for requests :)
One thing you didnt touch on is Que points. Are que SAVED when you reload a song on to the deck using tidal??

Serato won’t let me record my mix if tidal songs are selected to play , message comes up saying (must stop recording to load tidal song)

Is there a total track limit? After adding 1040 tracks into different custom tidal playlists, no other songs will show up in playlists when I try to add them. I know there’s a track limit per playlist but now I cannot add anymore songs to a new playlist.

You can create a playlist out of TIDAL playlists :) just go to the TIDAL-curated playlist you like, then pick Add To Playlist

For copyright reasons recording is turned off when using streaming services, recording your master output is one way around it...
Can you use tidal offline on Serato DJ? The place I’m playing at has really bad signal and the WiFi is terrible!
No you can't
Because it is a "streaming" service how well is the quality and is there any lag or buffering?.....whos to say it wont stop in the middle of the song
It sounds good - you can stream FLAC even if you're a Tidal Hi-Res subscriber :) it won't stop in the middle of the song - I demoed just that by turning off the WiFi while the track was playing (around 07:00 in the vid)

How did you integrate tidal into serato mine only imported the playlists but you have to close and reopen serato every time you add a new song. How do you get them in realtime without relaunch

Your best bet is contacting Numark, that isn't usual behaviour if everything is set up correctly :)
Please help ! I've created reggea,grime,hip hop,rock,pop,garage playlist within tidal on my phone. and iam signed up with serato dj lite also with tidal and I went on serato and the playlist is there 😁 but the only problem is it put all the songs together 😔😔 is there anyway I can change this Because on my phone I have it all in separate folders as I've just mentioned I was just wondering why the playlist aint Coming up like on my phone.

this is way late but i recommend putting your folder names in front of the playlists in parentheses. it’s sorted by alphabetical order so when you do that it’ll at least group them together
Im on the latest Windows version 2.0.5. And cannot see any option for Tidal.....

just downloaded the newest version of serato, when i search i see the tidal tracks come up but they are dark and when i try to load one it sayd "Unable to Stream at Current Time", what could be the issue??
Sorry not sure on that one, you're best off checking on the Serato forum for that it sounds like a bug

How do we analyse the tidal playlists, do we have to load each song separately to find out the key and bpm?
Yes you have to load a track to analyse it, but that data gets saved in your Serato library so the next time you open the app the metadata stays there :)

If you can only cache one song at a time, when set up on 2 or more decks are those not cache or can you not have more than one deck?
Just the one as far as we're aware, if the wifi goes out you'l have to load the track you want to mix in from your local library

It should show up in the Tidal folder :) have you tried restarting Serato DJ Lite?

I'm a wedding Dj and this is a NO GO for me. The reception halls I play at have horrible or no wi-fi at all. I don't have (or intend to get) a cellular phone where I could create a wi-fi hotspot thru the phone so this doesn't interest me at all.

When you are using Tidal songs in your set, can you still record the set?
Pulselocker disabled recording which was one of the reasons I decided to cancel my subscription. Wonder if Tidal will have the same foolish restriction.

I don't think there's a way to do it on TIDAL I'm afraid :(

It's because Serato only analyses a Tidal track once you've loaded it onto a deck :)

you actually are able to batch analyze tracks without having to drop single songs in the Deck to analyze.
Highlight the batch of songs and drag in to the analyze tracks bar.
You can only do this batch analyzing when there in no hardware plugged in so you cant do this on the fly or at your gig.

I really love the idea of having access to pretty much every song but my DJ Laptop is NEVER connected to the internet. This is to ensure my Laptop remains at optimal performance. I also do not use this Laptop for anything else. As an IT/Cybersecurity professional by trade, I'm a firm believer in 'separation of duties'. There is no AV/firewall on said Laptop to defend itself online and every peripheral bit of hardware is also disabled (Wifi, SD card slot, camera, etc.)
That's an understandable concern, we always recommend having a separate laptop for DJing when and where possible
No offence but - as an IT/Cybersecurity professional by trade, you should know how to keep your laptop in "optimal performance" without disabling every single thing on the machine. As an IT Professional myself one of the things I was taught and reiterated is that 'disabling' everything is the easy and non professional way out (especially when it comes to firewalls). For example, adjust your firewall ports and configure your AV if you're so worried about intrusion and run Wireshark to check your networks. If you can't figure it out, look it up. Research in IT is so important. IT is about making things work to the best of their ability, not turning things off and hoping for the best. I hope you weren't serious, and if you were you are not currently on the level of IT professional that you need to be to stand out and be great.
