HE'S A NAMELESS GHOUL... A drummer can learn & cover a song no problem, but the feel of this is way too pure. IT'S HIM. No doubt in my mind. (Check out his other GHOST performances... you'll see)

Congratulations man, you were the one to play properly, the parts of the face the hi-hat is played in the case with the left foot while playing the face, and you did it correctly unlike many covers that are on youtube and are not touching the hi-hat that part of the music, even congratulations!!!

Note since Danny Carey wrote drum lines have I been so curious as to this album's ghoul is. Super musical and creative.

With a wee bit of comfort I can say that I've never been able to have my drums at home, and always need to put my entire kit up everytime I play...

I have read several comments by drum afficianados that the recently departed ghost drummer didn't reproduce the album quality live. A lot of the comments below say that you absolutely nail it so congratulations. I have no doubt that you could easily become a nameless ghoul and do a damned job of it. That was really good I first saw a different cover video and I knew my ears heard more. Thanks for an accurate vid! What it was lacking was a third crash, the China, and that Tom left of the snare. Is that one tuned low? I mean must be....also proper use and timing great job.

That was amazing, i keep returning to your version since it's the only one that really keeps the soul of the original. Do you have a transcription by any chance ? Or did you jute played it by ear ? (trying to learn the song right now ^^). Anyway, keep going man !
If you are trying to learn how to play the song by ear, it may help to watch him play it several times with the speed adjusted to 0.5. If you find a transcription, let us know. Most of the song is basic, but there are a few things that one may not be able to distinguish by ear.

Gretsch Taylor Hawkins Signature S-6514-TH, with Evans Black Chrome as top head.
Two more: What is the sizing of that mounted tom? And are both floor toms the same sizing?
Sorry for the late reply, missed it. The mounted tom is 13x9 inch, floor tom is 16x16 inch, both Gretsch Renown Maple (kick drum is 24x16 inch). The black mounted floor tom is a Yamaha Recording 15x12 inch.
