So fun to find coins. Found several including a silver half dollar (too worn to get a date) with a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202 I received as a Christmas gift. Found a thousands of coins and a lot of rings and old artifacts with a Bounty Hunter in the 1990s. My best day was three very nice 14k gold rings, a 14k earring, and 18K gold rim glasses on a low lake. A rude guy said my detector was a TOY that very day. LOL! The detector cost me 250 bucks back then and was the best technology I had ever used since starting in the 1970s. It got stolen.
Sorry for your loss. I started with a used Elite 2200 Bounty Hunter and loved that machine. I dug lots of silver coins, a few gold rings, and what I liked most was, I hardly ever dug rusty nails or bottle caps. Only problem it only went down five inches or so.
Great hobby no doubt. That jerk can go pound sand. They are all toys if one is.
Was that blue ring a bird band possibly? Like they put on their leg. I really don’t know, I’ve never really had any experience with them so I’m just guessing. I’m pretty sure though that when two birds get married the male bird wears a band, while the female wears nothing at all.
I've dug two bird bands since metal detecting eleven years ago. That's what they look like.
Could very well be. Google does not show an exact match - but does bring up plenty of rollerblade bearings. So it might be part of a roller wheel bearing....I have ne idea.
Those 60's memorials are the next Wheaties.

Pygmy ring?? LOL that was hilarious! I use to work with a guy who kept pigeons and they were called were called rollers. They would fly straight up, out of sight and then roll all the way down to the ground. Maybe that’s what the Pygmy ring was all about? That coil is intriguing. Thanks for showing it.

Yes it's a breeders band for Rollers they are with the Tumblers both breeds of pidgeons
Good to know. Googling FC Roller brought up some rollerblade stuff...so figured was part of a wheel bearing.
Good hunt out with the new FTP 12 coil. I doubt it'll ever reach the U.K unless it's on an all new FTP machine. The F19s'75'sT2'sG2's BHTPR machines are no longer on sale from dealers here. Dem phazed out John; dem alll phazed out at dis time...

I enjoyed the video Hunter. I love your sense of humor. That was pretty bizarre finding that many coins all from the same decade that's a little weird. LOL. But hey I'll take them. They're all spendable. It's just that it's a lot more fun to find the barbers and the Morgans and the standing and walking Liberties and the Buffaloes and the Indians yeah those are definitely more fun. That's a lot of coil fighting it's way through that troublesome soil.

I've tried to call Bounty Hunter and Teknectics to see what 12 inch coil will work with my metal detectors. Both detectors are First Texas Products. They've told me they don't know and other contacts never call me back. SMH!!! Why are three companies under one roof but no customer service? Fisher, Bounty Hunter and Teknetics. Where can I find customer service for their products?

Looks like you were using Teknetiks tek pin pointer. Is that you go to pinpointer? Looking for a new one, was leaning towards Garrett Carrott for simplicity. Do you find the tekpoint to have the same simplicity, in that you do not have to spend alot of time in dialing it in? And one question about the coil, I have Mars Tiger coil on my Teknetiks, do think this coil has any advantages, like maybe better target seperation.
Hi Mark. Yessir it is my go-to. They are releasing a new version any day now which in my opinion is even better. Easy one button operation. I have never used a Mars coil so unsure...I would have to test side by side. I have heard good things about them.

Hey HunterGT, thanks for another great video! Congratulations on the wheat pennies. Would that 12DD coil fit the Teknetics Patriot? I'm happy with the stock coil that came with the Patriot, but it might be fun to try that new one sometime.... Take care and please keep the detecting videos coming.
