    I love love love your tutorials. I feel like they are really beginner friendly with showing all used stitches, and a really clear explanation with great visuals. Many tutorials/patterns for such projects are targeted towards more intermediate levels that know which stitch is which. You make things so clear, it really helps me so much, as English is not my native language and I get confused with the names of the stitches quite often

      I would not agree with You totally. Although I like the patterns I'm quite beginner myself and can't go through some of the videos to finish what I have started. The color of the yarn here used for learning purposes is not visible enough to fallow the next steps correctly. Maybe it's light too? I have finished first set of cross stitches fallowing vidoe and could not figure out wehater I should come back to the beginning and start all over again just with one round of hdc and then attach others stitches to previous ones to receive that nice cross stiched pattern or buy a pattern to be able to fallow the rest correctly. Beautiful patterns but I'm struggling.

    I have an alternate method of making the back in all one piece. Count your stitches on your last decrease row. Start with that many chains and work up to top and start increase of same amount as the decreases were, just adding instead of subtracting. When you reach that last increase count your stitches to get to the top of shoulder and add on that many chains. Working back down keep your stitches from twisting and do your stitches back down to the armpit and continue the pattern as before working in the back loops. Work the whole back across (don't forget to add the stitches for the cable back in) and do the decreases like you did on the front panel. Now you don't have to seam down the back.

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  2 года назад

      Yes, yes! That's the best way to make a back panel in one go!! We've done plenty of sweaters just like that, but we chose to do this one this way because the Half Double/Single Crochet row sequence slants and if it's made all in one panel it'll have a dramatic slant to one side, which can be evened out when seamed, of course, but we were trying something different. 😊 This way the slant evens out along both ends! ❤️

    • @Val-ee4hd
      @Val-ee4hd 2 года назад

      @@TCDDIY I made mine with bow tie look down the back. Using your small twist cable. :) 3 dc 1st row twist second and 3 dc in third. Spaced them about 5 hdc apart

    It's very beautiful, I'm trying to do it, but I don't understand only one thing: in the right side of the front panel I have to start from the bottom with single crochet row or half double crochet row? Beacause I start with single crochet but then it's different from the left side. Is there a solution?

      Not a silly question at all. I know slip stitches can be pain. 😅 I haven't personally done that, but i've seen it on other designs. I'd say it is possible, but ribbing would look a little different. I'd say no hurt in trying though. 😊

    Hi T.
    I appreciate you sharing your beautiful patterns.
    I have one question though, I'm an " intermediate beginner" Crocheter and don't have enough experience to design my own patterns yet. Am I allowed to sell the finished projects made using your design? Thanks.

      Thank you so much!
      The current policy is you're free to sell the things you make using my patterns so long as you:
      -link the shop and the RUclips video wherever you post it
      -purchase the pattern
      -leave a photo review of the pattern
      Beyond that this agreement is for hobbiest or small businesses. If you're looking to sell over 15 items a month then we'd need to negotiate some sort of licensing agreement.

    I'm currently working toward my initial 88 rows of BLO slip stitches and I do hope I live long enough to complete the task! It takes FOREVER because no matter how loose my tension, it's really difficult to find some of the back loops - they seem to retract and hide as they see the hook coming for them. It's SO easy to miss a stitch which is a real no-no - the error sticks out like a sore thumb in the collar. I was hoping to have it finished by Christmas 2020 - maybe I'll aim for 2021.

    • @TCDDIY

      Yesss! I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally skipped a stitch and had to frog some rows. 😒 It can be a pain, but we love it to much so we deal with it. 🤣

      @@TCDDIY This sweater LOOKS TERRIFIC on the model. But..."a pain..." doesn't begin to describe the unpleasant and boring task of wrestling thousands of BLO SLST into place. I chose to use charcoal yarn (black) where the loops are next to impossible to see at the best of times. I'll certainly never do another one. Life's too short for this much frustration. But thanks for the learning experience anyway.

    How do you repeat the other side of the front side panel? The pattern is backwards every time I try to repeat the process. The pattern that is on the back from the 1st side panel (showed in the video) is on my front side. The pattern that is on the front from the first side panel is on the back when I repeat for the 2nd side panel. Am I holding the work wrong or going through the wrong back loop when trying to repeat the process for the 2nd side panel?

    Hi T! Im so excited to be working on this right now. I have a question on the cables though. So the part where you finish a whole block of cables and finish off with the half double crochet, you gotta have 2 rows of half double crochet - do does the row where the cabling finishes off with the half double crochet count as one of the 2? Because when chain 2 and move on it ends up on the wrong side? If that makes sense.
    Love from London!

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  3 года назад +1

      Hi! I think I understand your question. And after your last cable row where I leave you guys off at you only have 1 row of Half Double crochets in between your cables and your next cable row will be worked into your previous cable row, like how our row 5 was worked into row 3. 😊

    • @rae0521
      @rae0521 3 года назад

      @@TCDDIY What is the purpose of the HDC (Row 4)? Also, if we count the turning ch as 1 HDC (as instructed in Row 1), then only 5 HDCs are needed. Why do the instructions say 6? Thank you.

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  3 года назад

      @@rae0521 we need a half double crochet to in between each cable stitch row cause the cables all need to start on the same side (the right). And 6 half double crochet rows cause the chain 2 counts as a half double crochet so do you last one into there. 😊

    • @rae0521
      @rae0521 3 года назад

      @@TCDDIY Thank you for the clarification. In my experience, once I work through a pattern the first time or so, it all begins to make sense. But that FIRST time through, when there's more than one place the hook can go and the instruction video doesn't say something like "careful... put hook HERE not THERE..." I, for one, can spend an hour trying to figure it out. Again, thank you for your help.
      Oh... BTW... I found trying to put one SC into EACH BLO row in the collar a very difficult task. There is one loop that's easy but the "front" row, the way I turned, simply doesn't have an available stitch. I had to stop at each one and DIG OUT a stitch with my yarn needle so I could do a SC. I guess I'm ending rows incorrectly.
