Ive only gotten into this a coupke of days ago but now im hooked, amazing how stuff made for little kids can be turned into something that can even scare adults
It could be that this virus isn’t actually a virus but rather an entity that was created because of the imbalance in the multiverse caused by Sunset Shimmer going to another universe and the fact that there were 2 Sunset Shimmers in 1 universe and none in the other meant that the multiverse had to create some sort of way to correct this void created by Sunsets absence in her home universe so it created this entity.So because the entity was created to correct this.Which might explain why the entity is now possessing people, causing chaos and violence even killing some ponies and infecting foals because now that Sunset Shimmer’s returned it’s reason for creation is void.Even going as far as to wait in the place where it knew Sunset Shimmer would be- The Evergreen forest.Or it could be that the multiverse created the entity for this purpose to lure Sunset Shimmer back to her home world so it could posses her and destroy every pony and everything she cared about.As a punishment for messing with the multiverse.Maybe the multiverse even gave the entity a sort of connection to Sunset’s mind so it would be able to manipulate her more easily as well gathering more information on how to possess every pony.Although the 2nd idea is a bit gruesome the idea of it being an entity created by the multiverse to correct the power imbalance left by Sunset Shimmer makes sense because how else would it know where Shimmer was when she came back to her home universe and when?And if it did persuade her how did it know how to do that?Also the fact that the entity changes, shape, appearance and maybe density could suggest that Sunset Shimmer never returned from The Forest because we know it can change appearance so maybe it posed as Summer in the hospital to wait until her friends appeared so it could either kill or posses the things that she loves most.And the fact that the entity chooses to escape only when it hears Twilight’s voice suggests that Twilight was it’s first target because Sunset and her were extremely close.Maybe it also did this because it knew that this would lure Celestia allowing the entity to infect her too.Taking the 2 things that Sunset loved most but leaving Celestia with the ability to know and understand what’s happening but not be able to do anything about it because she allowed Sunset to stay in the other universe.This could also mean that the entity takes the identity of those it kills which would explain why that police officer didn’t realise until the very end.It’s also possible that the entity allows Princess Celestia the knowledge of what it’s doing to her subjects the most beloved thing to her after Twilight and her family.So maybe now that it’s killed Shimmer and Twilight (because Twilight also allowed it and traveled to the other universe herself although for a considerably shorter time) .It could also be that the entity is torturing her with what she’s going to do her loved ones after the entity takes full control because it can see through the eyes of the infected and it’s allowing Princess Celestia to see it too but only the parts that it knows is painful for her to see psychologically and slowly breaking her.But instead of taking control of her and thus killing her mind it decides to leave her alive to allow her to suffer silently.Maybe it even gives the impression that it’s trying to control her making her fight against something that isn’t real which show exactly how powerful this entity truly is because if it’s able to implant images in her head and psychologically manipulate her into thinking all of this then surely the entity was created by the multiverse?Also at the end when the cop is killed she then says “Ah finally” which would further prove my theory of the entity only being able to steal other people’s identities after it kills them.Which would explain why Patient 0 , Sunset Shimmer or at least that’s what the entity wants everyone to believe maybe because it knew that it would be the easiest way to get to Twilight And Sunset’s loved ones plus if all the other ponies knew it was some sort of entity instead of trying to cure Shimmer they probably would have tried to kill it instead.Or at the very least fight it or try to kill it.I don’t know if anyone noticed but rarity is infected and the entity appears to be using the pain of how she wasn’t able to save Sweetie Belle or help her to psychologically break her just as Celestia said the entity did to those that were infected (I’m guessing it was Celestia who was the unknown person who said that and the other things) from her containment cell in the castle.I’m also guessing that in the part where she says that I’m sorry my subjects but what I’m about to do is for the best or something like that she tried to end herself because she felt as though it was what’s best for her subjects and it’s the only way to save them from her and the entity because at this point she’s probably given up trying to fight the entity.This could have been the entities plan all along which would be to lure Sunset Shimmer back to her home world and into The Evergreen Forest where it would then end her life and come back and out of the Forest impersonating her but not making it seem as though she has some sort of unknown disease and then waiting until the doctors give up hope of ‘curing’ her allowing her to kill Twilight because the entity knew that at that point it would be best to give the news to her friends and allow them to talk to her at least.This would then allow the entity to infect Celestia (or maybe that was just a bonus) but instead of turning her into a mindless zombie the entity allows her to go back to her home infected and gives her consciousness of what it’s trying to do to her plus what it’s doing to those she loves most until she relents and ends herself or at least try to.All the while her sister and Cadence are well aware of what she’s going through something the entity can use to manipulate them if it must.But that it could just be that the entity is angry and wants revenge because now it has no purpose with Sunset having so instead it creates it’s own purpose Well there you have it that’s my theory although it may change as we learn more.I know that there are a few errors and at some point I change the word posses to infect but it took me over 3 hours and I
