Welcome back, it's been a while. You and your craftsmanship have been missed
Nice to see you back, you were greatly missed! Thanks for another fine video.
Thankyou! Apologies for the absence! haha
Let's not forget this is (virtually) free entertainment and education for us all. As we know from his videos Ollie is an extremely busy working man. However it is inexcusable to leave such a long gap between posts and I am not prepared to stand for it............sitting down with a cuppa is much more civilised! 🧐
Welcome back to my favourite maths teacher. Great work once again Ollie. Cheers!
Nice to see you back
Thanks Mate
Wow. Was worried you had run off to the islands never to return. I have been looking forward to the completion of this project and so glad to see you back. Your attention to detail is amazing and even as an old man, I learn a lot watching your videos.
Attention to joinery detail and precision as per usual! All aspects of the existing masonry and flooring levels taken into account during the weather bar fitting. The simple slotted jig to ensure correct alignment of the stainless steel bar while the resin was curing was great. One always learns from viewing such content - the craftsmanship is superb.
The actual name for the "dome /cove" bit is a core box bit. They were first used by pattern makers.
Good vid lad..! I use the thermal FLIR camera on my Cat S62pro phone to see any potential heating pipes under concrete, incase I bore into them for partitions, rubber door stops etc. also for hot or cold leaks/draughts, & missing insulation...👍
Ya back had us worried that you done a hernia lifting stuff without George
I'll watch the video later lol
Can’t wait for the install, pls don’t keep us hanging too long 😂
Thanks to you, I was able to buy his toolboxes with these beautiful drawers, ideal for the workshop and the break.... I can't wait to see what's next for this beautiful door👍
Where have you been mate?
Was getting a bit worried about you for a bit…
Gerard
I got an iView head torch and it's awesome for jobs in poor light. Got it on e bay about half price, I think the guy has one left. Thanks for the tip on the dust barrier they do seem like a great investment.
So the search party found you afterall, .....good to see you back Oliver.
We use the Zip pole system all the time for remodeling in the States. It’s great stuff what helps us seal better is some blue tape or low adhesive tape taped to the plastic around the entire perimeter. Absolutely zero dust after removal and relatively quick. Amazing work! I’ve been enjoying this entire project and can’t wait to see the results.
Though you fitted the door frame without us 😂😢😅
nice video as always!
Agee with Davidedwards! Can't wait to see the next video of the door installed....cheers rr Normandy, France
Na Gottseidank, er lebt noch. Habe mir schon Sorgen gemacht. 💪🏼😉

basic german translation: Oh thank goodness... he is still alive. I did start to get worried.

He’s back 🎉
Good to see you back and enjoy watching your excellent videos
Great to see you back! Awesome work as always too!
Glad you’re back with content. Glad everything ( I hope) is ok, and you were just snowed under etc.
Looking forward to watching later👍🏻
Very interesting- I am tempted to retrofit this to our draughty back door.
Look at MWK 20 and MWK25. Just cut the bottom or rebate the bottom of the door. they are brilliant. I often cut the weather bar part off the door part and use a timber one. www.sdhardware.co.uk/?i=370166&hsa_acc=2652889890&hsa_cam=17280978434&hsa_grp=&hsa_ad=&hsa_src=x&hsa_tgt=&hsa_kw=&hsa_mt=&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqdqvBhCPARIsANrmZhNk0gBOOZvYrFEz-itrhi9YTfLEHCTxJSJYJvVALAhz5Gmjnya1JQwaAjQHEALw_wcB

Very clever way of working - great craftsmanship. I would never do this type of work but it's educational to see how you go about solving problems. Cheers

thankyou!! :)
Great job Ollie
Cheers bud!
Nice router you've got there. I have the same one, but in orange.
Jaysus good Tay see you back Lad.
welcome back, been a while
👌
This is good timing, i am about to build a big panelled door with 2 side windows and may try this method. I don`t need it to be flush and will have a cill but really like the neatness of the small stainless bar rather than the normal plastic water bar. Using AQ21 anyway so this might be a winner. Thanks.
better to seal onto the back of the water bar if you can, (step required) as it accomodates door movement/dropping better
@@BradshawJoineryThis is what I normally do but I never really like the look of it. Don`t like maclesfield cills either. Normally I run a strip of aq21 along the bottom edge of the doors inside edge for extra sound/ draught proofing as well.
I smiled at the belt and braces comment. True pro. Great to see the progress. Do you get as nervous as everyone else when you’re doing final machining on something that’s taken so long to make?
Mom pytanie jakiej uszczelki uzywasz w drzwiach 55mm grubych?

Hard to improve on perfection
👍
Need you to do 6 months full time work at our build!! Where can I find someone like you??
Hi Mat, hope you are well, I have no Idea, but there are people out there. :) Its usually work of mouth that is most reliable source. Ask around locally.
Great to see this as ever… just curious what laser levels are you using? Mark
Thanks, I have several all in regular use for different advantages.
Hilti PM40MG,

What was the grey gloop used to set the bar in?
Fisher 360 Mortar resin.
