When the creator is genuine and realistic but still inspiring and even the mission of the video sponsor is awesome, you know it is just the best YT channel from the sustainability field. Gittemary, you're doing an absolutely FANTASTIC job at showing us how to live more environmentally friendly, while being SO SO adorable and entertaining! . Love you loads! Wish you a great week ahead!
If you have to make holes in some more tins, you can fill them up halfway with water and put them in the freezer for a couple of hours. Then they are more sturdy and it's way easier to make a hole in it :)
Gittemary... I love the Danish architecture and street scenes. I’m always that person who is asking for more of this. And... your bike looks so comfy and fun to ride!! These are my favourite type of videos... hanging out with a cool and inspiring person from half-way around the world (that’s you, of course, I’m from 🇨🇦) just doing normal (sustainable) life stuff is really interesting and inspiring!! I want to thank you for taking the time to do this week-long video. It was great!! I am also excited about your book, can you tell us more about it??
You've inspired me, I think I'm going to try making it a habit to pick up the rubbish I see around my neighbourhood. You're right I see the same rubbish that just doesn't move, time to do something about it. :)
I always put chia seeds & ground flax seeds in my oatmeal, I used to put hemp seeds in also but I heard that hemp seeds should be kept out of hot dishes because it kills a lot of the nutrients which really bummed me out 😔 I still put them in my smoothies, avacado toast, salads, Etc. Thought I'd let you know! 😊
I don't know if you know this but RUclips also has a feature where you can post short vids called stories. I don't have Instagram or social media except RUclips.
You seem very happy. Wish you the best :) I follow you for quite some time now and you motivate me every time to be more eco friendly. You were the first RUclipsd I watched talking about zero waste. So you kind of started my eco friendly lifestyle I am living now. Thank you for being here
Does the chicken bites box have natural food grade soy inks that will also decompose properly in the compost bin? Yes, re-use, re-purpose and re-cycle.
I love your videos so much. They help me set realistic goals! I recently listened to a podcast you might find very interesting called Factually and the episode is called “Where does our second hand stuff actually go!?” So informative!!
My gosh I am SO jealous about these Like Chicken Bites! I wish our local companies producing such alternatives finally understood selling the frozen in cardboard instead of chilled in plastic is the way to go. I would suport them so much mor often!
Real quick tip! Don’t store potatoes and onions together. They cause each other to go off quicker. We keep them in the same cabinet together but in separate bowls and that seems to be enough.
Does "Aqua" have products sold in the US? Also do they sell attachments for shower heads as well? I don't pay for water (flat rate in my rent) but I'd still like to save water.
Plant holder- great idea! One remark: would rather not keep the spring onions in the water there. You know, the tin might start to corrode and leak some nasty substances into you delicious herb ;P
I'm so glad swapie exists! I've had my phone since 2017 and it still works quite well, I will keep reparing it until it's can't be fixed anymore. Then, I will buy a second hand phone
Hi! Great video as always :-) I currently don't have a need for other phones but I was so intrigued by Swappie... your endorsement really calms some of my anxieties
I tried to regrow spring onions so many times but the water always becomes so gross quickly. Even when I changed the water twice a day and used only a tiny amount so only the roots touched the water it still got stinky really fast. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
Rosie Finnigan I think she means the curbside compost bin - I've had one nicked before. Slightly less weird than stealing actual compost, but still weird.
@@leahaf808 Nope, my compost from which I normally have inside, but that I placed in my yard over the weekend was stolen by one of my neighbors and thrown away 😂 Here is the story: ruclips.net/video/OSphcbIunIQ/видео.html
I was looking to replace my 4 year old adidas I ordered for myself as a high school graduation gift (2016) that were a half size too short for me (they’d hurt my big toe back into the knuckle bone after hours of wear) and when you showed the Cariuma IBI’s I fell in love they’re so cute and simple. I just preordered some (they were on backorder). I got the same off white because my Adidas were white Stan smiths but I’m not trying to buy new leather products. Also I like how the IBIs look sort of like Keds, most of my clothes are thrifted or vintage look (80’s/90’s) but some is just cute stuff that’s newer so that’s a good fit for both. Once they come in early August I’ll give my adidas to a friend of mine that gives clothing items to homeless people who need it in my hometown, as they are still in very good shape and outsoles are not very worn. I never got that much wear due to the discomfort they caused me from being too short. If someone fits in them, I’m sure they’ll last quite a while longer.
Do you have a list for eco-friendly or reputable second hand electronics sites /stores? I know you can buy refurbished phones and laptops from regular brands, but I don't always trust them... I don't know why. And I would like to support brands that don't also produce brand new electronics. Do the refurbished /second hand phones last a while? Will they be obselete because of software updates pushed out by the cell companies?
You probably won't see this comment BUT IF YOU DO and want a compost solution, try going to sharewaste.com to connect with someone who has a compost who will take your food scraps. It's an Australian website (us Australians have all the groovy sustainable solutions) but I did take a look at the map and there seems to be ONE person in Denmark who is registered, in Alborg, wherever that is✌
I used to pick up litter when I was out but haven't since the pandemic started, it just seems too risky at the moment sadly - especially as people have been littering SO MUCH in local parks recently, it's so upsetting!
Is it really a good idea to take your own food to a relatives house? As a vegetarian, I never make a point of it. There are always some salads, fruit or mostly vegetable dishes in any party or gathering. I would be offended if someone brought a container with chopped cucumbers to our table. Family is also important, not only animals. Especially, if we want more people joining plant based. As for phones, where is the information about 1% recycling comes from? www.apple.com/newsroom/2019/04/apple-expands-global-recycling-programs/
Welcome to the world of sustainable vegan tattoo options! Thankfully we live in a day and age of technology where these things are possible. Unfortunately people don’t do much research and are unaware of other options.

Wish you a great week ahead!
How beautiful to have a family that supports and values your passion!
Love the fact that you didn't just do one day but a whole week! Def going to make a video like this on my channel but as a teen :)
Your grandmother is so cute!!

squirtle tattoo! :D Loving your vibe Gittemary!
For the holes in the tins, fill with water, freeze, and then tap the nail in. (Great for tin can luminaries, too.) Reuse the water/ice.
Definitely can't wait to continue to document my sustainable journey on RUclips and see in a few years like you😊
What’s the name of your channel? I’ll follow you x

I can get Like Meat in the UK but only in the chilled section. :( But if I go for the supermarket own brand stuff I can get it in cardboard.
I love that sponsor 😊
Love, love, videos like this!!
I wish I knew where I can find elderflower in my neighborhood.
Your skin looks so good !
Will your book be coming out in English too? xx
I forget not everyone is American on RUclips and can visit their grandmothers on their birthday 😭.
Tried to buy getaquare attachments but they don’t ship to Australia 🥲🥲🥲
I love this video ❤️❤️
Lovely video as always 🌌
Hey! your Pilea definitely needs drainage holes :D They very much prefer well drained soil. I have one too and I looove it!
I LOVE YOUR BULBASAUR TATTOO! :D

I prefer Android and there seem to be no for sale on swappie so I guess I will look at refurbed when the time comes.
How do you do with the phone when you can't /want use it anymore? Do you recycle it or send it to be thrifted again?
so much love for this vid!

I am really jealous of danish recycling system 😭😰
I love those pants from Monday.. ..where are they from
They are vintage, from Vintage Revival 🌿
I also really like those chicken bites but they sadly come in plastic boxes here in Germany🙄
I do pick up rubbish in the street and people always give me strange looks but I don't care, lol

Maybe it's a good time to invest in a grabber? I suppose that makes it less of a small habit and more of an intentional task, though.

Neat few days you had. I am surprised that "natural" people get tatoos. Here in the USA. tattoos are not regulated(toxic ink, most likely)...
