This was a surreal experience. Thank you guys. I hope that the money will aid to develop the main Titanic Game. Is so weird, i walk in the ship like i knew every stair and passage.
Because Britannic was rushed to be completed it was missing 3 of the large gantry cranes that originally would have held all of the extra lifeboats. So to compensate they just used a bunch of Welin davits like the Titanic and Olympic did. Notice near the bridge there is a crane on the starboard side but not the port side. If you explore the RMS Britannic in game you'll find that the boat deck doesn't look nearly as cluttered as the HMHS version because all of the lifeboats are stacked under the cranes.
Thank you guys for bringing this to Mac as well. I hope to see Titanic Honor & Glory done the same. Keep up the good work it’s always been mind blowing.

This virtual museum-experience will allow users to learn first hand about the HMHS Britannic, the ill fated sister of the infamous RMS Titanic. Explore the hospital ship that she was in the First World War, unveil the ocean liner she was designed to be, and relive her sinking after striking a mine in the Mediterranean in this meticulously researched and extravagantly detailed program. Available for PC, PC-VR, and Mac. What you see in this video is recorded straight from Britannic POTM - no sound effects have been added, the footage has not been enhance. These are pre-animated camera's that we've set up, but in Britannic POTM, you will have the option for your own free-camera mode to explore the sinking.
I'm not sure if she would have been unquestionably the grandest ship afloat considering that her competition included Aquitania, Imperator, Vaterland and Bismarck, which were already built or being built.. But that would have been a close contest certainly. Britannic would have been my favourite that's for sure 😉.
I don't know, but the original video seems more accurate of the actual sinking. Still, it's sad Britannic went down, after the safety improvements she and Olympic took from their sister Titanic when she sank. The mine destroyed her bad. At least her wreck is still in great shape in relatively shallow waters despite the broken bow.
In freemode, sometimes I get into the ship of beneath the water. Some kind of unwanted "noclip" but that's cool because precisely it's something I'd like. Even though here being a bug, there's nothing in the sea or in the hull (just some blurry textures) ^^ You did a great job. Can't wait for Titanic.
I always wondered since the only time they opened the watertight doors was during shift change, and that unfortunately happened to be when they struck the mine. What if they didn't hit the mine during shift change and all the watertight doors were closed, would the ship have sank? If it was doomed to sink no matter what even with the watertight doors closed how much longer could this ship have lasted. I see they put in here that if the watertight doors did close or were closed Captain Bartlett may have been able to reach the island of Kea. I've always wondered about those things... Anyways, Amazing video as always You guys did an awesome job! I'm bummed I can't play this on Steam because I haven't had a computer for a long time . I just always use my phone or my PS4 and XBOX..
I’m guessing it might be too much to hope that this comes out on console someday. Also it would be badass if they add the ability to explore the wreck like the Titanic vr game
I cannot recommend this software ENOUGH (I do not want to denigrate it by calling it a "game"), if anybody is an enthusiast of the great liners. I have already made MY purchase before I even FINISHED this video. When you hear people talking about the accuracy and love the creators have dedicated to this and the TITANIC software coming in time, I stress that this is WELL worth the price at ANY cost. I don't spend at ALL on "games" (sorry, I know I said I wouldn't use that term, but I couldn't think of any other), and I didn't HESITATE to buy this. Because I KNOW how authentic and a labor of love this is. PLEASE support these fine creators and get yourself this software - they deserve it all. You will be supporting a VERY worthy development and will NOT be disappointed. I'm a 40+ year TITANIC Historian, and I have been STUNNED by its' quality. I will be purchasing the TITANIC: HONOR AND GLORY software as WELL when it comes out. I personally can't WAIT to see that one in its' completed form.
you might wan't to check this out! The fire alarm signal onboard ship is sounded as the continuous ringing of ship's electrical bell or continuous sounding of ship's horn. ... Once the master decides for the dismissal of the crew from fire stations, the general alarm will be sounded three times followed by three short blasts of the ship's whistle. in the game you blow her wistle 4 time's but no need to change just making sure you know! :)
You know, as terrible as the sinking was, it was lucky that the Britannic didn’t strike the mine returning from Greece. Could you imagine this situation but with 1,000 plus wounded soldiers onboard? Would’ve made the Titanic look like a picnic.
2D is cool. VR is amaizing! See how the bow plunges below the water. The water comming up the stairs and you trying to escape to the stern while funnels are falling on your head. This is the future of VR where it has the most potential.
This is a good point. But I always thought it just broke off later because of the unsupported weight of the bow, as she is lying on her side. If you lay the ship on its side notice the bow is just kind of hanging there.
Dear developers, thank you for the game! Dear developers, we would really like to: - so that we can use the elevators (move between decks) - so that we can freely move between locations (now only through the menu) - sinking mode with interiors The material of the steel hull of the liner is just perfect! The reflections and roughness of the case are exactly the same as in real historical photos. I've reviewed hundreds of photos, so I know what I'm talking about.
Hopefully in a future update, I can access the RMS grand staircase section, I get a repeatable crash to my desktop EVERY time I try to load that. Other than that, everything else works so far. The sinking part is like being a time traveler where you know all to well the outcome.
umm.. I was on one of the right side promenade decks as water got me stuck on it, then got pressed up to the ceiling, than got stuck under the water line, and managed to wonder around the sunken parts of the ship (could only get back onboard with respawning) :D why isnt there an option to actually dive and emerge into water, like it was possible in gta SA in 2005? Sound design is also "interesting".. when the emergency bells come on, as U walk away from the source, sound fades out totally after a few meters away.. no echoing in the distance. Also alot of stuff could use the engines physics system.. like ropes, the lifeboats, the beds , the bell on the forward masts base etc, I dont think anything aside from the ship itself should be scripted if its possible.. stuff could be tossed around by water, or as the ship tilts .. would be really epic to see ;) The game also seriously needs new "water". HL2 had better water physics/effects than what we can see here :/ Dont get me wrong, I say all this as constructive critisism, Im still a fan of this grand project 100%!
I love this one I love love love love love it bc it's sooooo realistic and also bc I'm weirdly fascinated by Titanic's funnels and the other ships as well and seeing the animation of the ropes snapping and close ups of them falling is just magnificent 😍😍🙌
Dang hospital staff leaving the portholes open. How come Bartlett didn’t reverse the port screw? And how come he didn’t just turn on the starboard propeller when they overshot Kea?
Reversing the port prop will only make it go back on its original course, turning the starboard propeller will probably just tip the ship and sank like the britannic movie
Cool experience. It was creepy as the final plunge began! But guys... you have to work on your water. Those waves look annoying. You can do better. It looks cheap and doesnt fit the rest of this project. Price is also okay - hope it helps to get titanic finished soon :)
They need someone specifically to work on the water physics- I don't believe that they have anyone to do it so they just use the same water program as the one on the Titanic
The construction of the Britannic was running behind so to make up for it they didn’t install that gantry davit (they would’ve installed it after the war before she went to commercial service)
To add on to Tyler’s answer, that’s also the reason only the standard Welin davits were installed on the poop deck. The intended gantries would’ve taken longer to install but since the Royal Navy needed her quickly those were placed there so they could have at least some means of evac on that deck. They likely would’ve been swapped out had she gotten through the war.
It's crazy how Violet Jessop was on all 3 ships. She was on Olympic when it collided with another ship. She was on the Titanic when it sank, as well as the Britannic when it sank. She's either incredibly luck or unluck depending on how you view it.
Reunite The British Empire there are probably much crazier stories of people making a career of surviving shipwrecks out there that we don’t know about
After watching the video tbh was very amazing particularly towards detail. I wonder how you guys think of the 1996 Titanic TV movie with Tim Curry, George C. Scott and Catherine Zeta Jones along with the 2000 TV movie about Britannic?
8:54 i love how even the anchor is painted with the green line to match the hull!
Hopefully, in a future update, we will be able to experience the sinking whilst also having access to the interior portions of the ship.
Wait, you can’t see the interior flooding?

If you pause the video and look to the right of 52:24, there is a lifeboat avoided of anyone, but it has moving oars in it. It is a hilarious sight to behold when you see it!
The detail in this video is absolutely insane!! I know that one has already been done, but will there be an updated with of the Titanic sinking in real time?
Crew Member: Captain the bow is flooding!
Captain Barlett: engine go brrr
Will be watching gameplay/ walk through do to the fact don’t have a working pc and steam isn’t on Xbox otherwise I would buy it form you guys then keep up the great work
I have some on my channel already.
Console release would be amazing
Thomas John YES PLEASE!
My favorite part of the game is when the mine hits. Love how the ship rocks and creaks after the explosion.
This was a surreal experience. Thank you guys. I hope that the money will aid to develop the main Titanic Game. Is so weird, i walk in the ship like i knew every stair and passage.
Ismay was right. The decks really are too cluttered with all those boats.
SteAndKel Safety is beautiful.
Um Ismay said that about Olympic and Titanic if they had full decks of boats.
Alexandru Carjan Yes, it only had those massive davits, in the hospital form they added a bunch of brand new davits like Titanic’s
@@supertoasting1011 Gantries have the disadvantage that apparently they can break down easily just as the aft port gantries.
Britannic is so underrated
Specially its original RMS plan version which it was suppost to be in the first place
Ikr. That's why it's my fav ship
more like people don’t know about it
😢😢😢
Its my fav, i even made a moc with the lego titanic!
Thank you guys for bringing this to Mac as well. I hope to see Titanic Honor & Glory done the same. Keep up the good work it’s always been mind blowing.
18:22 that is soo scary imagine your on a life boat and you just see the propellers coming and there’s nothing you can do about it
Also 21:25 is similar
I audibly winced when the first boat got shredded. Extremely suspenseful.
Can you jump out to the side and try to swim away?...🤔
@@EroticOnion23the ship was moving forward and turning
The propeller also was creating a whirlpool affect the way it was going and they couldn’t see it until it was to late

They thought they were sneaky with this one, but the sound of the third funnel ripping itself from its base was the same exact sound used in the Britannic film. The sound can be heard briefly before the ship keels over.
Oh yea
agreed
The really tragic part is knowing that everyone who died after the initial explosion was a result of crew disobedience.
This is awesome. And yet no sight of Titanic yet, the Titanic Honor and Glory will probably be released when we are all dead.
real
I'm not sure if she would have been unquestionably the grandest ship afloat considering that her competition included Aquitania, Imperator, Vaterland and Bismarck, which were already built or being built..
But that would have been a close contest certainly.
Britannic would have been my favourite that's for sure 😉.
Just played this yesterday and i had a great amount of fun and really enjoyed it. Well done guys
Even though here being a bug, there's nothing in the sea or in the hull (just some blurry textures) ^^
You did a great job. Can't wait for Titanic.
OMG!!!!! I buying that NOW ASAP!!! Thank you so much guys! I'm putting on my VR!!! It'll be a BLAST!!!
Hopefully we get a Lusitania game, too.
Would be amazing but they said the don’t have the time right now.
Actually I just realized that they are making Lusitania’s.
Wouldn't be much of a game, Lusitania sank at incredible speed.
The ships from that era were so beautiful......like they had souls!
This was fantastic !!👏👏👏
Someone should make a Britannic movie where they use this animation as a source to base the sinking off of.
Is this like a thriller movie for anyone else as well? 😍
There is a free movie on RUclips called Britannic. I would recommend you watch it.
9:04 Interesting you can see there's water coming down in one of the boiler rooms.
Amazing video keep up the great work with out you we wouldn't see this!!
Anyways,
Amazing video as always
You guys did an awesome job!
I'm bummed I can't play this on Steam because I haven't had a computer for a long time . I just always use my phone or my PS4 and XBOX..
If the doors were closed properly, britannic would be DECLARED sinking, but they would may have had a better shot at beaching the doomed vessel.
But the people who start their shifts would be trapped and have no escape, they’d be doomed if they kept the watertight doors closed.
Those Titanic survivors that passed through the propeller probably thought to themselves "Fuck. The. Sea."
I’m guessing it might be too much to hope that this comes out on console someday. Also it would be badass if they add the ability to explore the wreck like the Titanic vr game
Wow! The Britannic looks amazing!
What especially hurts about this whole event is that the sinking was, unlike in Titanic's case, preventable even after damage was done.
I don't think britannic's sinking was preventable, the watertight doors were jammed due to the explosion so they really couldn't do anything.
you might wan't to check this out! :)
Simply stunning
You know, as terrible as the sinking was, it was lucky that the Britannic didn’t strike the mine returning from Greece. Could you imagine this situation but with 1,000 plus wounded soldiers onboard? Would’ve made the Titanic look like a picnic.
That explosion seemed so much more violent than the first animation.
Highly recommend this experience. Walking the decks at night... just wow.
2D is cool. VR is amaizing! See how the bow plunges below the water. The water comming up the stairs and you trying to escape to the stern while funnels are falling on your head. This is the future of VR where it has the most potential.
No words to describe this wonder
Britannic: the ship that never gave up
Yet fate didn't let her win
@@Just_prettywhenicry yeah, but she was a war hero, like her sister, Britannic, defender of the seas
If only it managed to beach in time
It just hit me as to why the bow was separated from the ship and it’s because of when it was digging into the ground
This is a good point. But I always thought it just broke off later because of the unsupported weight of the bow, as she is lying on her side. If you lay the ship on its side notice the bow is just kind of hanging there.
Just purchased this on Steam!

Dear developers, thank you for the game! Dear developers, we would really like to:
- so that we can use the elevators (move between decks)
- so that we can freely move between locations (now only through the menu)
- sinking mode with interiors
The material of the steel hull of the liner is just perfect!
The sinking part is like being a time traveler where you know all to well the outcome.
same....
@@Condition1 Patch last night didn't fix it. I guess an embarrassing repeatable crash isn't an issue.
This is truly incredible work you guys are doing. ❤
All things considered, the sinking of the Britannic is an example of an almost best case scenario for a sinking ship.
What do you think, why is there smoke coming from the first funnel all the time? Boiler rooms 5 and 6 were flooded in a few minutes
I don't mind sailing on Britannic, because I know old Harry is there to look after Claire while I'm away.
I love this one I love love love love love it bc it's sooooo realistic and also bc I'm weirdly fascinated by Titanic's funnels and the other ships as well and seeing the animation of the ropes snapping and close ups of them falling is just magnificent 😍😍🙌
When you jump off the ship and swim towards it you can enter it 🤯 happened to me by accident when I wanted to board a lifeboat 😂
Today is the 105th Anniversary of the Sinking of Britannic. RIP Britannic and all those who perished on her.
I need to get a laptop that can run this.
Get shadow if you're in the US you can run any game with it
no, U need to buy a gaming PC, that IS meant to be played on...
Gotta say this captain was amazing. He did all he could to save everyone
So lovely animation I can't get enough of watching
Cool experience. It was creepy as the final plunge began! But guys... you have to work on your water. Those waves look annoying. You can do better. It looks cheap and doesnt fit the rest of this project. Price is also okay - hope it helps to get titanic finished soon :)
They need someone specifically to work on the water physics- I don't believe that they have anyone to do it so they just use the same water program as the one on the Titanic
105th anniversary of the sinking! RIP those lost that day. RIP HMHS BRITANNIC
Great stream - and I loved the trailer!
Is there a reason there was a gantry davit on the starboard side of the foreword most funnel, but not the port side?
The construction of the Britannic was running behind so to make up for it they didn’t install that gantry davit (they would’ve installed it after the war before she went to commercial service)
TylerHman Ah, ok. I had a feeling that was the case. Thanks!
Hoping the money you got from the game is getting you closer to completing Titanic: Honor & Glory
I understand that the 2 Titanic survivors vowed never to sail again.
Is it bad to watch this while I'm in a toilet
As long as you aren't at sea.
@@aliensounddigital8729 The toilet is a bad place to hear a bang and feel the room shaking
