This is probably one of if not the best depiction of the final moments of RMS Titanic i've seen recently. I also really love the addition of vocal testimonies from survivors interviewed before they died. Really well done
You never see stuff like the underwater shots of the keel failing as the breakup occurs, or the stern spiraling downward to the ocean floor. Those sights are truly haunting reminders that she kept going further down long after she left the surface, we need more shots like that.
This is the most beautiful animation of the sinking out there. The lights, the shadows, the starry night, the realistic water. 👏🏼 And i loved that it included some underwater scenes of the ship. Really wished there also was a scene of the bow and stern hitting the ocean floor tho! Maybe one day😄
HaG had the consistency of the animation, Titanic Animations showed how dark it was the last few moments, this had the best aftermath. The stern plunging straight down, then imploding into a spiral, and a gull's eye view of the hundreds of people dead in the water (some were trapped inside the ship while everything went down). Gave off some Cameron vibes, as that film was the only one showing at least a bit of what happened once 2:20 came around, if only a shot of it disappearing into the depths. I still think that the 4th funnel collapsed, the probable explanation of there being a lack of accounts was the fact that it was pitch black so when the breakup happens, nothing could be seen aside from some sparks, not to mention the breakup itself was ingrained into the survivors' brains, as it was that big of an event that the 4th funnel collapsing can be easily missed. One of the better simulations that wasn't done by the crew behind Honor and Glory, superbly done
I disagree about the 4th funnel, numerous witnesses state the fourth funnel still standing post break, for example, Percy Keen, George Crowe, Jack Thayer and Edward Buley, their wouldn’t be enough force to topple the funnel either as the stern is settling back and not falling which isn’t enough to break the base off the funnel. The 4th funnel was built very differently from the 3rd funnel. It was built much stronger and the guy wires were only their to help with Stability. None of the Titanic's funnels fell because of the guy wires snapping. The wires snapped because the funnels were falling. Even if the deckhouse formed, which I think it did due to Fred Scott's Testimony, it would snap nearly all guy wires but based on my research, due to its design and how well built it was (that the funnels probably fell partially submerged but based on my research, only 40%) it wouldn't fall. Their is also evidence of this on the wreck, if it fell, the deckhouse would have been crushed and mangled. However, it isn't, so that would help suggest that it fell late. The damage to the first class smoking room was probably caused by the implosion. Unless the stern crashed back into the water, then the 4th funnel falling would be quite unrealistic. I doubt it even fell at the surface. If it fell at the surface, it would end up further from the stern but it is quite near to the stern so it probably would have disintegrated during the descent. It was built quite strongly so it couldn't have fallen unless the stern crashed back. It would require less force than the mast so if it fell, the mast would have fallen. While the 4th funnel was fake, it was quite structurally stable. Plenty of survivors said it stood long after break. These include Jack Thayer, Ida Hippach, Edward Buley, George Crowe, Samuel Rule, George Symons, Frank Evans, Fredrick Hoyt, Thomas Dillon, Ruth Becker, Patrick Dillon, Thomas Ranger, and John Collins. If it falls during or after break, it dismisses countless survivors. For example, Jack Thayer literally said that he saw the fourth funnel in the water still standing as the stern rose up.Ida Hippach and Edward Buley said that they watched the remaining funnel for several minutes.Thomas Dillon said that the funnel didn't fall until the ship actually went down.George Crowe, when asked, said that it remained standing after the stern floated back.John Collins said it was still visible when the ship turned over and went down. The reason everyone says it did was because it was shown in several popular theories. While scources like OASAG are great scources in my opninion, they went with the funnel collapse in break as it is the general consensus of what happened. Apologies for any offense, no offense meant.
Here is some of the testimony that mentioned it standing: Jack Thayer - Her stern was gradually rising into the air... the last funnel was about on the surface on the water... I do not believe it fell. Her deck was turned slightly towards us... the great after part of the ship, two hundred and fifty feet of it, rose into the sky, till it reached a sixty-five- or seventy-degree angle. Ida Hippach - The Titanic had keeled to one side and was slowly sinking. Less than twenty minutes after we touched the water, we heard two loud explosions. The explosions occurred almost simultaneously. The giant ship quivered from stem to stern. It parted almost in the centre and slowly sank. The last I saw of it was a single smokestack, which remained above water for several minutes Edward Buley - Q. Notwithstanding the darkness you could see the outline of the ship? A. Yes, sir; we could see the outline of the ship. Q. You could see the funnel? A. Quite plainly. George Crowe - After getting clear of the ship the lights were still burning very bright, but as we got away she seemed to go lower and lower, and she almost stood up perpendicular, and her lights went dim, and presently she broke clean in two, probably two-thirds of the length of the ship...one-third of the aft funnel sticking up. The after part floated back, ... then there was an explosion, and the aft part turned on end and sank Frank Goldsmith: You could still see the Titanic, but you could see only the back, halfway between the mast and the last funnel with the propellers straight up in the air and it hung there for, as a kid, it seemed five minutes. Then it gave a slight whoosh and down it went. There were no lights, but you could see the silhouette of it because the night was clear, the stars so bright.
i cannot believe that papers wrote so soon after her sinking that she was "still afloat" or that "no lives lost". how offensive to read that everyone was safe and the ship would make it, only to later learn that your whole family was washed away in a night so frightening that its story would live on for generations.
It was the accidental mix-up of 2 wireless messages: one asked "Are all TITANIC's passengers safe?", the other was of a German oil tanker named the DEUTSCHLAND that had lost maneuverability and had callen for help. The tanker had already been encountered by rescuers and was currently being towed to the nearest port. However, in the confusion, the DEUTSCHLAND's former plight had gotten mixed up with the question about the TITANIC. This led to the misinterpretation that the TITANIC was still afloat, and being towed to Halifax, and everybody was safe. The White Star Line even chartered a special train for the relatives of the passengers to meet their loved ones and families when the damaged TITANIC arrived in Halifax. As the train was speeding through the Maine woods, it suddenly stopped, and reversed back to its' departure point. White Star had just learned the TITANIC was gone, with a horrible loss of life. Nobody would be coming to Halifax, except dead bodies.
Yes this is amazing video of that ship and its sinking. It never stops affecting me every time i see a new Version of the sinking and the terrible cold weather and yes that guy had no light out there.
The video is exceptionally well done! I love the dramatic shots, especially the intro where the ticking clock transitions to the panicking people on the promenade deck. The sound effects are outstanding, adding so much to the overall feel of the video. The voice acting was also excellent (including my own, lol). The visuals and animation were top-notch! This is the best final 10 minutes of animation I've ever seen on RUclips! I look forward to more videos like this in the future, each one better than the last. The progress and improvements over the past months clearly show how much you’ve grown as an animator. Great job!
By far the best presentation of Titanic's Final Plunge above Titanic Honor and Glory and On A Sea Of Glass. Not only is the animation and editing immaculate, but the story telling is great. I'm curious as to how you can one up this animation.
LOVE the addition of survivor testimony alongside the impressive visuals! Absolutely brilliant concept, I’m surprised it hasn’t been done before! (At least to my knowledge.)
Excellent animation Danny! One of the best I've seen! The final plunge looks fast and chaotic! It almost doesn't seem like real time and it's hard to imagine it on a large scale! Excellent work! continue with him 😊
Pitch black, hearing everyone screaming for help being helpless, as the TITANIC is sinking in the middle of the ocean must be one of the most scariest shit of all. At that point I’ll just accept my fate but this is terrifying for all that died from this tragedy.
This is completely amazing, I have followed the recreations of the sinking for several years and this one of yours together with the previous one has given me a new feeling. I greatly appreciated every detail, from the mobility of the ship, to the rivets popping at the break, the stern spiraling down, and the ending where Titanic emerges if she had never sunk. Hopefully the next one after the ship disappears below when the stern imposes the air inside heard from the surface, it is something I have always wanted to hear how it would be recreated. I love your work🎉
Seeing those flashes of light from the keel buckling really shows how much force was being applied to the ship in ways it just wasn’t designed to handle.
That shot at 10:34, gives me goosebumps. It’s like if it was coming up for one last gasp of air, one more reach before the sea drags it under to drown.
For anyone wondering about why it shows the forward tower falls or why the lights went out in sections, this is why - Forward Tower - Several accounts from a range of angles said they saw a third section. Other survivors testified different break locations which can be accounted for with sections. The wreck even supports this. A counter argument is how would it end up where it did. Here is my logic for this. As said by another enthusiast, the forward tower is 4km under and 600 (i think,) metres from the wreck. It would only have to move forward by 1 metre every 6 metres it goes down. If it slid partially into the sea, this would give it more likely to get their as well. The corridors such as the promenade would allow for water to flow through rather than build up. Their would be not a lot of drag even though the current would be going the opposite direction due to layout. It might have also collapsed to the starboard side when it broke off to account for how it was far east when the ship listed to starboard in break. Another counter argument is how would the survivors who said it broke forward of the third funnel not notice the break location having moved back. Here is my logic. The bow would have separated before the tower fell showing a break Infront of the third funnel that they would have noticed. Some said it broke in the middle. They would have guessed it broke their, for example Arthur Bright instead of being more specific that it broke forward of the third funnel as the third funnel falling could have confused them as where it broke. They would have also used the funnels to determine break location so wouldn't be a 100% sure where it was as thee third funnel fell. Those who said it broke forward might not have noticed due to the funnel falling that there was a break behind and those that did could have guessed it was engines breaking out and not thought it was actually a third section. Those that didn't specify or said it broke in the middle may have said this as they weren't able to determine break location due to third funnel falling and tower breaking off so guessed it broke in the middle OR didn't say. Light sections - Several witnesses from a range of angles (Even, some on deck), mentioned the lights going out in sections as the vessel sank. Some even said the forward lights went out as early as Boat D leaving. This also aligns with how the lights were designed. They were divided into a series of circuits - Forward, Saloon, Middle, Navigation lights and aft. Several others seem to have mistook the lights going out in sections as a break. The circuits would go out one by one as water short circuited the equipment causing each circuit to fail. The consensus is that the forward lights failed as Boat D was lowering or finishing its loading, middle and saloon, during the plunge and aft going out in the break.
I genuinely did enjoy this sinking animation, especially the inclusion of the survivor accounts. There were a few little things that stood out to me which could be corrected in the next video. Happy to go through them with you sometime. 😊
Honor and Glory’s animation was very quiet, and didn’t show the true “horror” those poor people went through. This animation in my opinion shows how it was for those people and what they experienced. Well done
What makes this even more horrifying is that this all happened in damn near pitch black, all the screams and groaning of the ship and no one can see almost anything
6:50 , I know I saw that on Titanic 1997. Awesome, Danny. Keep up to good work. This is the best final plunge video of her. The details are just superb! Better than THG. Just wow. ❤
Danny, you've outdone yourself. That was a wicked cool touch starting off w superimposed headlines then mixing in actual survivors commentary is something I've never seen done before.....this makes yours stand alone above the others. One thing though - I agree w you on the nasty business that took place at the end at Collapsible A, and after reading the whole appendix in the book On A Sea of Glass, just be careful naming the officer who fired shots/committed suicide.... something happened that night for sure, but we will never know 100% who committed the act. Congrats on one completely wicked video 😎 I would love to see you do a full real time sinking animation!
Thank you so much for the kind words! They are very appreciated! I do hope to do a Real Time Sinking someday but I am going to try learn Unreal Engine before I do one as the rendering will be easier and it will probably look way better. But I do hope to do one some day!
@@DannyDraws1912 I wish I had your talent, however, I'll just sit back & enjoy the creations you come up with 😎 please keep up those creative touches that make yours different from all the others...I really loved those headlines/survivors commentary touches 😎
This is great. One of the best sinking animations I've seen. The break up looks totally realistic and believable. The sounds of the ships groans as the metal twisted and bended was just chilling. Only thing that could have made it much more realistic is that the lighting becomes MUCH darker when the lights go out, where the ship merely becomes a shadow amongst the backdrop of stars. If you could master this, it would be absolutely perfect. But great job nonetheless 👍
Thank you so much! The reason I don't have it as realistic lighting after the lights go out is because you wouldn't see anything, so every thing I animate after that would be pointless lol and You tube would compress it a lot.
Hi DannyDraws, I have a question: How long was the time from iceberg collision to engines stopping for final time? Did they stop twice or three times after collision? I used to think it was twice but Dillon and Fred Scott below decks both seem to suggest three times. But others seemed to suggest it was twice, for example, Stengel. Great video though, keep up the great work :)
Really like this video. Just one question, how do we know that an officer (which as you declare to be Wilde) committed suicide in the vicinity of Boat A and not, perhaps, Boat D?
Time and position. The shots were heard after collapsible A was launched, from the starboard side. It's not a certainty, but reportedly shots were fired at passengers (which possibly killed a few) and then said officer committed suicide right there in that moment or not long after. The most likely candidate was Wilde.
Very well done no one will ever know for sure how she made her final plunge. But this is probably very accurate. Especially the last funnel not breaking off at the end
Great animation, very accurate imo, keep up the great work :). I have a question though: Is their a flaw with Boat 10 leaving just after D? The animation seemed to show it having left earlier and not being lowered at 2:10 AM. Great animation though, keep up the great work :)
Impressive and frightening how much the quality of these videos improves every year. Along with VR, it seems like we will get to a photorealist point soon enough where someone will be truly immersed in the sinking, something akin to the holodeck on Star Trek. Chilling.
Any chance we could get a video from a single POV? Like a far away view of the titanic sinking? That would be incredible. Thank you again for posting this!!!
This animation is very brilliant and well made and very accurate great job hopefully we get a full real time sinking or one with realistic lighting soon enough?
I really loved the survivor's testimonies and how you showed the first-class staterooms being flooded. A refreshing look from the Honor and Glory which had gotten boring tbh..
When I was a boy I read everything I could learn about the sinking of the RMS Titanic It seems that when the 100th anniversary came and went, the ship and all passengers should be able to rest in peace and history. Let the Titanic rest.😢
Sadly, most of the people floating in the water didn’t last long, even though they had life jackets. The freezing water caused them to die from hypothermia pretty quickly.
Seria fascinante que se hiciera una nueva pelicula sobre este suceso, actualizada como nun ca antes y que te haga vivir la experiencia de lujo desde inicio hasta el horrible final, Cristopher Nolan, animate a producirla
It was recounted by many survivors that an officer suicide took place. Wilde is the most likely suspect as it is believed that Wilde could have been suffering from depression at the time due to the events that took place coming up to that moment
It’s weird how watching this is more disturbing to see than the movie titanic . So damn creepy ,this wasn’t just some ancient story , these were hundreds of lives lost . Can’t put a bow on that with a Hollywood movie .
4:49 Actually, the 1997 titanic love story movie, which you have probably followed showed that first officer Murdoch, shot himself to death, but it is wrong, witnesses saw he never shot himself.I hope you improve this, but yet, great animation!
It’s so philosophical and ironic how the first class areas; dining rooms, bed rooms and salons, that were built to not be used by poor people or anyone who was not that important and wealthy, but then turned to be filled with salty ocean water and buried under the sea forever All the luxury in life is just for show off, at the end, everyone will die and nothing is valuable. At that time i think a boat was more precious than anything the first class passengers would think so luxurious
I am hoping to do a Real Time Sinking in 2025-2026, but I’d rather stay away from the Titan tragedy as it is too soon to be animating it in respect of the victims families
The most hard part for me would be sitting there in a boat and listen and see all those people in the water screaming and yelling for help 😭
I've read that many people in the boats hadn't realised that there will still so many people left on the ship until they heard the screams.
Definitely some harsh math.
And hearing all those screams slowly dwindling down into complete silence.
Yeah you feel
Yourself guilty than and you won’t forget that ever
@@Fenerbahceli-uk5ud yeah this
The fact that everything was pitch black when the lights went out gives me chills
Horrifying.

I read it was pitch black and there were no stars out that night and no full moon either
Looking forward to this animation Danny
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
This is so awesome! Great sounds, visuals its like I was there. Bravo.
Wonderful animation as always... this animations help everyone to comprehend better how everyone aboard the ship felt that night.
Honor and Glory’s animation was very quiet, and didn’t show the true “horror” those poor people went through. This animation in my opinion shows how it was for those people and what they experienced. Well done
This was stunningly beautiful & well done. Now, excuse me while I go blow my nose.🤧 Those poor, poor people. Oh, the humanity.😢
The sound design is so great
What makes this even more horrifying is that this all happened in damn near pitch black, all the screams and groaning of the ship and no one can see almost anything
6:50 , I know I saw that on Titanic 1997. Awesome, Danny. Keep up to good work. This is the best final plunge video of her. The details are just superb! Better than THG. Just wow. ❤
Bravo on the sound design, just perfect.
Never knew that the plunge, or at least when most of the ship sank, was in like 5 minutes. What a well done animation!
this is how you do a titanic sinking video. Incredible work!!!
Oh my god that was amazing!! Bravo 👏 this is probably your best animation yet! 11:49 best shot, it looks realistic but without the dark lighting.
Absolutely beautiful job! I am so impressed.
What a masterpiece you just created. Thank you so much for this!!!!
❤ con cual programa hiciste la simulación?
This is straight up your magnum opus, the sounds were new, and its a cool take
This is great.
Hi DannyDraws, I have a question:
How long was the time from iceberg collision to engines stopping for final time? Did they stop twice or three times after collision?
I used to think it was twice but Dillon and Fred Scott below decks both seem to suggest three times. But others seemed to suggest it was twice, for example, Stengel.
Great video though, keep up the great work :)
Thanks for your efforts Danny, very interesting and obviously sad. Titanic will forever be interesting to me
Amazing job guys. You really captured the moment and I'm very impressed with your work
Congratulations Danny! You did a great job with the amination ☺️
Hey man, its been a while. Impressive progress from you, keep up with the good work.
Omg no way, Hi Mow. It really has been a while lmao. How’s things?
@@DannyDraws1912 Doing good, im focusing more in motorsport now and driving in some kart chanpionships, wbu?
I’m buzzing for this! The last one you did was epic Danny 🤣🤣
Impressive and frightening how much the quality of these videos improves every year. Along with VR, it seems like we will get to a photorealist point soon enough where someone will be truly immersed in the sinking, something akin to the holodeck on Star Trek. Chilling.
I’m excited this is gonna be great Danny!
Great video love titanic especially the story
Any chance we could get a video from a single POV? Like a far away view of the titanic sinking? That would be incredible. Thank you again for posting this!!!
This animation is very brilliant and well made and very accurate great job hopefully we get a full real time sinking or one with realistic lighting soon enough?
I really loved the survivor's testimonies and how you showed the first-class staterooms being flooded. A refreshing look from the Honor and Glory which had gotten boring tbh..
This is horrifying 😨 and so well made
Fact. There is still water in Titanic’s pool
Hardy har.
Imagine all that noise and lights and then...SILENCE....😢
You should do a real time sinking. This is incredible.
How far was the Californian ship when she sank? sorry I can't remember the exact name.
How did you make these sounds? Did you find them online ? They are so realistic!
Thank you!
It’s a mix of sounds I found online and ones I got from friends, though the majority are from online.
widespread and awestruck are single words, not two word phrases.
Looked great on my 135 inch projection screen.
Great work man, keep it up!
When I was a boy I read everything I could learn about the sinking of the RMS Titanic
It seems that when the 100th anniversary came and went, the ship and all passengers should be able to rest in peace and history. Let the Titanic rest.😢
Sadly, most of the people floating in the water didn’t last long, even though they had life jackets. The freezing water caused them to die from hypothermia pretty quickly.
Hey, Need to Ask What version of Near My god to Thee did you use?
I like the more stylized string sounds.
I used the Propior Deo version
Will you do a Project Britannica version of this animation with RMS Lusitania?
I am very open to this idea! Though I have a few other videos I need to get started on 1st though , But I will 100% do it someday
@@DannyDraws1912will it be a future video?
May titanic rest in peace.....😢
Seria fascinante que se hiciera una nueva pelicula sobre este suceso, actualizada como nun ca antes y que te haga vivir la experiencia de lujo desde inicio hasta el horrible final, Cristopher Nolan, animate a producirla
Interested in why in this version it's Wilde not Murdoch who shoots two passengers and then himself? Did this even happen at all with any officer?
It was recounted by many survivors that an officer suicide took place. Wilde is the most likely suspect as it is believed that Wilde could have been suffering from depression at the time due to the events that took place coming up to that moment
It’s weird how watching this is more disturbing to see than the movie titanic . So damn creepy ,this wasn’t just some ancient story , these were hundreds of lives lost . Can’t put a bow on that with a Hollywood movie .
This is gonna be lit
4:49 Actually, the 1997 titanic love story movie, which you have probably followed showed that first officer Murdoch, shot himself to death, but it is wrong, witnesses saw he never shot himself.I hope you improve this, but yet, great animation!
I think he actually made it Wilde based on the texts.
@@eggzbenedict3358ah ok,I didn’t see those.
@@eggzbenedict3358you are correct.
@@eggzbenedict3358 It's not known which officer shot themselves during the sinking, isn't it?
@@mr_bassman6685 It isnt known for 100% but judging the location of where it took place the most likely officer is Chief Officer Henry Wilde
amazing work you make a great job how much time more we waiting this fantastics game TITANIC honor and glory ? god bless all of you
goodbye titanic
UNBELIEVABLE!!
It’s so philosophical and ironic how the first class areas; dining rooms, bed rooms and salons, that were built to not be used by poor people or anyone who was not that important and wealthy, but then turned to be filled with salty ocean water and buried under the sea forever
All the luxury in life is just for show off, at the end, everyone will die and nothing is valuable. At that time i think a boat was more precious than anything the first class passengers would think so luxurious
13:45 The Sea Grave 😱🥶
You should work with titanic honor on the next titanic sinking! You did great!
Haha! That’s the dream hopefully! 😂
@@DannyDraws1912 I think you have a good chance of doing so
excellent use of sound and visuals, would you do a longer one including sinking and the ocean floor? Titan?
I am hoping to do a Real Time Sinking in 2025-2026, but I’d rather stay away from the Titan tragedy as it is too soon to be animating it in respect of the victims families
