    Wouldn't the forward tower have ended up in the hypocenter if it fell off at the surface?

    • @DannyDraws1912
      @DannyDraws1912 2 дня назад

      Nope, it’s a heavy object but it is not dense at all. It is full of interior corridors, cabins, a deck promenade and the 3rd funnel uptake. So it would be able to drift quite a distance. When you look at the distance it is from the stern from a depth perspective it is not far from the stern at all

      @IloveCruiseShips1912 День назад

      Several accounts from a range of angles said they saw a third section. Other survivors testified different break locations which can be accounted for with sections. The wreck even supports this. A counter arguement is how would it end up where it did. Here is my logic for this. As said by another enthusiast, the forward tower is 4km under and 600 (i think,) metres from the wreck. It would only have to move forward by 1 metre every 6 metres it goes down. If it slid partially into the sea, this would give it more likely to get their aswell. The corridors such as the promenade would allow for water to flow through rather than build up. Their would be not alot of drag even though the current would be going the opposite direction due to layout. It might have also collapsed to the starboard side when it broke off to account for how it was far east when the ship listed to starboard in break. Another counter argument is how would the survivors who said it broke forward of the third funnel not notice the break location having moved back. Here is my logic. The bow would have seperated before the tower fell showing a break infront of the third funnel that they would have noticed. Some said it broke in the middle. They would have guessed it broke their, for example Arthur Bright instead of being more specific that it broke forward of the third funnel as the third funnel falling could have confused them as where it broke. They would have also used the funnels to dtermine break location so wouldnt be a 100% sure where it was as thee third funnel fell. Those who said it broke forward might not have noticed due to the funnel falling that there was a break behind and those that did could have guessed it was engines breaking out and not thought it was actually a third section. Those that didnt specifiy or said it broke in the middle may have said this as they werent able to determine break location due to third funnel falling and tower breaking off so guessed it broke in the middle OR didnt say.

      It did indeed! If you read the survivor testimony, countless people recall either seeing it happen first hand or hearing shots being fired. Many even said that the officer shot two passengers and then himself. When the evidence is collected and analysed it shows the most likely officer that shot himself was Wilde. As he was in the area of the shots, we know he was armed that night and he was going through depression at that time in his life

    The note about the implosion is almost certainly incorrect. Implosion is the result of pressure differential. When pressure outside a vessel is higher than the pressure inside the vessel and the amount of force of that difference in pressure is stronger than the physical structure of the vessel, then you get an implosion. But the air inside the vessel has to be completely sealed in, and have no water infiltration. If you get water infiltration, you won't get implosion because the high pressure water flooding in will just compress the air to equilibrium, at which point you no longer have the pressure differential. Titanics stern doesnt fit the necessary requirements for implosion. At least not as a large unit, perhaps there's a few tiny spaces that were completely air tight, but the stern as a whole unit wasn't air tight. There's already evidence of this fact earlier in the video where it talks about witnesses to windows, doors and portholes being blown out as the air was escaping due to flooding water. There wasn't an implosion. The cause of the stern being completely ripped apart was the fact that a 35-50 million pound piece of manufacturing was plunging at speed face first into the ocean after being completely ripped open. Simply, the movement of the stern through the water is what tore it apart into an absolute shambles.

    • @DannyDraws1912
      @DannyDraws1912 13 дней назад

      Yes I am aware of this, the implosion was thought to have occurred at the time this video premiered but as of now it’s inaccurate

    • @IloveCruiseShips1912
      @IloveCruiseShips1912 День назад

      @@DannyDraws1912 Would it be inaccurate since the vessel would have to be nearly completely filled with water to go under and their wouldn't be enough air to create a large scale implosion?

    It’s so philosophical and ironic how the first class areas; dining rooms, bed rooms and salons, that were built to not be used by poor people or anyone who was not that important and wealthy, but then turned to be filled with salty ocean water and buried under the sea forever All the luxury in life is just for show off, at the end, everyone will die and nothing is valuable. At that time i think a boat was more precious than anything the first class passengers would think so luxurious

    I really enjoyed this video and the parts where you added in the survivor interviews was really well done. My only gripe is that you stated that Chief Officer Wilde shot passengers and himself as fact. There were rumours that an officer shot himself but a lot of that is based off of second hand accounts. Many Titanic enthusiasts think that Wilde fits the bill as he is absent from a lot of the survivor testimonies and he was clearly in a bad place after the loss of his wife and twin boys in 1910. If an officer did indeed commit suicide, it equally well may have been First Officer William Murdoch or Chief Purser Hugh McElroy. Since none of their bodies were recovered and the survivor testimonies are quite confused, we will never know for certain.

    • @DannyDraws1912
