Wow. i have never seen a more realistic animation of the Lusitania'a tragic sinking, and as a Lusitania enthusiast, I give this a 10/10. Great work jack!
Hey man, thanks a lot for using my video music in your work! Would love if you could put a reference in the description, please. That would be enough, thanks a lot!
@@gabrieldaia heyyy!!! I’ve popped your channel and a credit to Ethan Uslan in the description, the music is absolutely incredible so I hope people go over to hear it because it’s brilliant stuff!!
@ much appreciated, Jack! Thanks a lot, you got a new sub - I have more music on my channel, feel free to browse and use any piece you like. I can also compose music if interested. Keep it up!
The fact all of this chaos and carnage happened in only just 18 minutes, is still terrifying to me. This might be one of the most beautiful animations yet, Jack, I'm loving the improvement
Jack this may be your best animation yet. in addition to best animation, you absolutely GRILLED AND BARBEQUED with the sound design! I found myself genuinely so disturbed hearing those screams in the Lusitania interior shots. I also love those shots in the final plunge that put you seemingly in the perspective of a bird flying over Lusitania. So many moments caught me off-guard, like the second explosion, the graphics of the smoke, and the inclusion of the elevators stopping. I would say fantastic work but this is work indescribable with the English vocabulary. Keep this up, Mr. Gibson!🎀💝💝
I believe in the "Lusitania: Terror at Sea" movie that Captain Schweiger mentions that he only aims to fire one torpedo and give _Lusitania_ "a bloody nose" as it were. So when he sees how the ship is foundering, he is in total shock. They also said that _Lusitania_ could be outfitted to be an auxiliary cruiser or troop transport as with other Cunard ships.
Jack, this is easily your best work yet! The smoke and water effects look incredible. I also like that you added a slight film grain. It makes it feel as though it were filmed in real life with a real camera. I also love the aerial shots, especially during the final plunge, they almost feel like they’re being filmed from a helicopter. It reminds me of the footage of Oceanos sinking. And you absolutely ate with the sound design!!!! I was so surprised when this premiered lol I was not expecting a whole new real time animation, considering your last one was only earlier this year with Mike’s documentary, but it was a very pleasant surprise! Keep up the good work! Cheers! 💕💕
As soon as the debris started raining down, I could only stare with my mouth agape. Absolutely stunning animation. Terrifying masterpiece of animation.
aww man this model and just readjust the lighting so its dark and make it so it sinks like it did in project britannica. LOVE THE WORK. PLS MAYBE A REAL TIME SINKING OF HER IN PROJECT BRITANNICA
The level of dedication, in bringing the beautiful Lusitania back to life is truly Inspiring . Love your work Jack and the rest of the dream team . This whole vid was absolutely awesome and so professional . Very well done 👏
jack, you glorious man, you’ve done it again. this is by far and away the best animation i have ever had the pleasure of watching. this is something to be extremely proud of. ABSOLUTE PEAK
Lusitania may not be the ship I am mostly focused on(That honor belongs to Titanic) but man is this animation good! The details, dedication, graphics, and sounds...it honestly feels as if I'm watching an actual animation from a high quality documentary!
First of all congratulations to 10k subscribers and second this was a amazing real time video and I even learned something new despite me having loved to learn about ships ever since I was around 5 years old since I learned now which was the first rescue ship to arrive 💜
I like that you used a WWI submarine; way too many Lusitania animation creators use WWII Type VII submarines to represent U-20. Even though the Type VII does not resemble the old-fashioned U-Boats. The particle effects are also beautiful.
It wasn’t exactly sailor, ignorance, the ship in a mere matter of minutes. Read “Dead Wake: the last crossing of the Lusitania- Erik Larson. It’s one of my favorites and goes into a lot of detail.
You try to coordinate an evacuation of a passenger liner that has just been illegally attacked by surprise. “Sailor ignorance” - what an insult to seamen of all times.
holy crap the detailed is a big step up. i ahve no idea how animations work but do u kneed to be good and math and know coding etc to do this kind of stuff?
Jack, I see what you mean about the third funnel follow. How could I have missed that detail from your previous video? Especially when it was right there?
What makes the RMS Lusitania a tragic tale isn't necessarily the loss of life of innocent civilians. It's not because it was a war crime (at least today it would be). It's because in -- the end -- it all really came down to very bad luck. The ship just so happened to travel right into Schwieger's line of sight just perfectly, and he admitted had Turner not not turned towards the sea from the coast, he probably would have not been able to make the shot. In any other type of encounter, the Lusitania would probably have been able to evade any torpedo run.
This animation is so well made! it captures the horror of her sinking a little too realistically, it's disturbing. But nonetheless, thanks Jack for animating this entire real time so damn well!
You forgot that one of the lifeboats had successfully lowered, but then lost control and couldn’t really steer and got caught in the prop and just torn apart
LUSITANIA should go on to become a British/Hollywood movie by the filmmakers of Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese, however James Cameron should not be allowed in the LUSITANIA movie production, only Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese can make LUSITANIA a more successful movie in this 21st century!🎥🍿
I think what angers me the most about this event, is the U-20's Commander basically went "Oh look, a passenger ship, fire a torpedo!" then suddenly grew some kind of conscience and refused to fire a second torpedo at the innocent people trying to save themselves.
The Cunard Line ocean liner RMS Lusitania was torpedoed by the German Submarine U-20 in the Irish Sea on May 7th, 1915. The passengers and children and crewmembers have perished.
Curious. But in future renditions. If there a chance if showing the large open spaces as they succumbed to the flooding. Would they just gradually flood or kinda implode or collapse ? I’m guessing they’d be dark scenes considering no power
This is the same animation that you distributed to "Oceanliner Designes" a few months ago for the documentary about Lusitânia that you produced! I noticed that you improved the animation even further, improving the effects of particles such as smoke, the water animation became even better, the foam and tremor effects were incredible, giving great immersion and the light and shadow effects were improved even further. .. Your work is getting even more incredible Jack, with each new production of yours you surpass yourself even more. Such a beautiful ship, I'd never be able to fire upon/destroy something so pleasing to my eye, even if it was an enemy of mine in a war.
I would.
This video about the sinking of the RMS Lusitania is an absolute masterpiece thank you ❤

Very good portrayal of the event with great accuracy.

Those old steam ships were so beautiful and elegant, unlike the monstrosities of today.
Omg these keep getting better i keep thinking ¨this is the best this animation gets"but then i see THIS
The way the ship groans at 19:04 is just terrifying.
It's like the Lusitania is in pain as she begins her final plunge and dropping like a stone.
Agreed, like it's the ghost of the ship already crying out.
@@connorredshaw5650 That's a good comparison too

Needs a soundtrack ❤
Such a beautiful animation!

Oh and just for context, Lusitania was one of the largest ships in the world (before that being taken by Titanic)...
Mauretania took the title after the Lusitania, then the Olympic and then the Titanic.
@@shame.5910as well as Britannic in 1914
@ethanteamflame Britannic was never the largest ship in the world, that title belonged to Vaterland at the time
@@shame.5910 ah, but I meant that they were bigger in tonnage and length/width than the rms Lusitania
Amazing work Jack, as always ! :)
This is incredible! Great work in both aspects: animation and recreation of the sinking.
This is the most realistic animations I’ve seen to date, well done capturing these terrifying moments.
This was the most terrifying Lusitania sinking simulation yet, I love how the boiler explodes just moments after the torpedo hit.
We're gonna get the Kaiser for this. Good work.
Superb animation you really have improved the realism
Epik work Jack. One of the best sinking animations besides the titanic real-time ones to date. Keep it up
What an incredible job you did with this real time animation! Never forget those who lost their lives that day.
oceanliner designs omggg!! hi mike!!!!!
Very sad and haunting. Rip to all who were lost. Awesome video. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
fun fact: the Lusitania’s swimming pool is still full of water to this day!
fun fact: the lusitania didint have a swimming pool
Fun fact of an alternate universe and fun fact of real life ship ?
the lusitania is the swimming pool
Aquatania had a swimming pool aboard her 13:25
Goodness gracious, Jack G's done it again!
Every Lusitania sinking animation keeps getting better!🎉❤
Dang this sinking animation is great, very sad that so many died due to lowering issues & sailor miscommunication =(

Kudos Jack, this was epic 😎

Unexpected for November, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless!
This is amazing, can't wait for what's next!
Gran trabajo ✅
Insane quality & production 🙏
Excellent work dudes!!
I hope you made one for Britannic in real time as it marks of 108 years anniversary of her sinking.

The elevator...ugh what a horrid way too go.
This is way better than the original.
Amazing work Jack! ❤❤❤
Great job, keep it up !😉👍👏
Damn! Your video is too high quality that I'm almost mistake it with Oceanliner Designs's video!
3:59 That metal sound as the ship leans over to starboard sounds like trumpets playing.
holy crap the detailed is a big step up. i ahve no idea how animations work but do u kneed to be good and math and know coding etc to do this kind of stuff?
Amazing Rendering - Id imagine you have a similar version for the Titanic as well and if so, would like to see it.
All I can say is woah! Amazing animation
I can’t wait to see this detail on Project Britannica
Really enjoyed the animation! What version of the Blue Danube did you use at the start? Is it available on RUclips or Spotify?

great animation, just wondering where do you get the music? for example the piano blue danube at the start?
I wonder if a look outs warning of “torpedo “ ever prevented the seemingly inevitable? .

The krauts seriously owe us some cruise ships, man.
They did, they handed over a ton of ocean liners to the allies after the war. Some, like the newly christened RMS Majestic, had just been completed.

The fact that the video is longer than the sinking
