Thank you for documentating what may be the last view of that mine with the coal buggy and rooms. Great job!!!
@@milliehousam4514 I appreciate that!
Phil’s version of
“This is nice actually”
Is in a completely different universe.
Thanks Gentlemen 🙏
"Uncle Phil's Sketch City"😂😂😂😂😂 Just love watching you two explore. Thanks for taking us all along on your adventures guys!
THIS one made me nervous, so many widow makers, be safe Phil!
Ok,I've watched you enough to trust you know what you are doing. And you'd have to KNOW what you are doing to be in such a sketchy mine. Thanks for going there so we don't have too! Stay safe!
The guys that built and worked these mines were a different breed. Great video.
they are buildings not mines. Might wanna look into Red Brick Meltology and The real flat earth
A new tag along partner 👍That's one hairy looking opening , that mine has seen better days ! Cool coal cart , a key 🔑to the unknown depths ! Has to be one of the scariest holes you've been in ! Thanks Phil, stay safe !
Amazing footage as usual. Some will never understand why this so fascinating. But those of us that do, greatly appreciate it.
@jimmyjams5 thanks my brother!
@@AmazingPennsylvaniayea from mine country Colorado it's nice to see old mines documented. Even though I preach stay out and stay alive thanks guys
Thanx for sharing and taking us a.long your journey. .....Stay Up, Hard, Safe, and Healthy.....🔥🔥❤️👍🏽💯
From the depths of hell comes another fine video from you folks. Please be safe... looks very sketchy.
That is nuts no way can I ever do that
Plumbin' the depths!!!
I’m a new sub watching your older stuff and you guys are amazing. Remember we want you guys alive and still exploring so please be careful. 👍
Those sharp hanging slabs give me anx! 😬 it won't be long and that place will be impassable... Cool seeing that cart & wooden door so well preserved! Oh, and the nicest shovel so far that I've seen you find.👍
You guys give me confidence that bigger fellows can manage caving and mine exploration.I've always thought I was a little too big at two hundred and twenty but i'm plenty fit
@ThatOneGuyWithTheEye Yeah we're both about 225. As long as you're nimble like a cat and take a deep exhale when you squeeze through
Too much NOPE in that mine! Awesome explore, though!
Nice video, nice cave and nice exploration. Seeing that door closed gave me more curiosity to open, I glad i don't explore because I definitely would risk to satisfy my curiosity. 😐
Love from Scranton 🔥
Let’s Go!🎉
How does Uncle Phil keep his hair so perfect? Does he use 'Miner 49er mousse' 😂
From entrance to the depths, truly sketchy. Thanks for showing us.
these adventures are awesome ...
What’s so funny is that I remember so much of what you said verbatim as I rewatch so your videos.
You guys are completely Nutz! Hanging boulders and rotten timbers? What could go wrong?🤔
I have only one word COoooool!
Hey missed you guys ❤
There seems to be a lot of shale where you guys are from. A lot of the mines in BC Canada are all hard rock and don’t often see shale.
There is tons. If you look up all the gas wells and fracking in PA, that is why. But the fracking/well companies have been bad community neighbors to many.
We humans are a curious species. Very interesting to see.
a window into a different era. a dangerous profession, few safety regulations, and mining companies that didn't care less. unreal.
Funny his hard hat says “MSHA” on the back!!!
That pristine buggy was worth the risky pass through sketch galaxy
Looks like something really bad happened down there 👀
Yeah they robbed the pillars and took some reserve.
I think that is an absolutely beautiful
If you have cold air coming out. Does that mean another opening?
@@larryhanlon7776 Not necessarily. Sometimes air pushing out is actually the mine exhausting gas like co2
if there is a hole......Phil will find it!!!....VERY nice brother!
These place won't be accessible for long kind of nice to have this video as a farewell
That mine is so dangerous. Roof falls everywhere. Be careful guys!
Just imagine the stories that coal cart could tell if it could talk. That was amazing
Yo that mine has some scary shiz y'all be safe God bless
Why is there so many abandoned mines? Did the company/companies digging there run out of money or did they just stop finding anything worth digging?
@MrStrange1984 Once a mine becomes too dangerous to pull out anymore coal without the roof coming down. And yes sometimes bankruptcy happens too
Right for sure! In a more “modern” drift mine with a solid seam of coal, the use a big square of coal like a pillar. It almost looks like a city map with regular blocks. Then when the seam runs out, if the price of coal is still holding, they would begin at the farthest point and begin “robbing” the pillars. Subsequent roof falls followed but not always especially if they supported the roof while working. It’s about the most dangerous occupation you can have. Real men mined these seams and some barely 36-40” high, working on your knees all day. Be careful guys doing this! Great video, scary but great!
just watching them going down there makes me feel anxious.
I can’t believe you guys never run into snakes crawling in those mines.
@ryanszyminski5145 Nope but that would be awesome 😆
I’ve been in worse. Stay safe gents . You keep me entertained when I can’t go explore myself. Se Ohio coal mines are no joke.. they are in sand stone and most from the 1800s.
Very cool videos
Dear Phil;
I am 70 years old, in sketchy health and I really want go down mine exploring.
What could go wrong?
The entrance is so scenic then it's Uncle Phil's Sketch Wurld Bruthur! Where to stay out of to stay safer.
Aaaaaaaaaah, no
good stuff
Should install some safety supports as you descend ever deeper, or your rescue will be the next video.
🤘😎
Sketch city pop 2. Shiver me timbers there was only 4 pieces holding up what 20tonnes of rock that’s crazy guys! I love your crazy ideas of fun! See you in the next hole!
At that depth (first room) it has to be hundreds or thousands of tons, a tri axle truck carries 30 tons and it seems like a large volume but it’s just not when you’re talking about seams of rock. At the deeper depths I can’t imagine what figured you’d come up with looking at a cutaway model of this mine
@@geordiecs I really have no idea the crazy part is that only 4 braces holding so much rock up there like that it’s truly amazing!
Long way to go to pinch a loaf in that room.
mAn THATS GOLD 1041! above to the right
I would love a house made out of that shale.
I live in Marietta PA Lancaster county always exploring cool areas in the surrounding areas glad I just found your channel I know what I'm doing tonight..
Any dates mine was active
I want to see what's behind that doorway that you guys didn't/weren't able to explore.
Stop 1041 look.to right is that GOLD!!
Sketchaphobia😮
Did this place catch fire at one time? It seems ashy and left with soot everywhere.
Have any dreams or nightmares about the last place?
@seanroche2358 I remember having one but can't remember it. Guess it wasn't that bad..
👀
I can't believe you went that far and wouldn't check out that last wall and door!
That’s crazy F#uck that 😂
Link to the first exploration of that one?
@MikeG104
The quality is pretty terrible in my opinion

Why didnt you approach the door!?
First!
Then why are you
What is wrong with people??? Stupid is as stupid does!
Bs clickbait title 💩👎🏻
@@kateapple1 you're right... nothing risky about this whatsoever, says the person sitting on the couch in their bath robe
I need to do this. Can you give me a link to the meters you guys use?
What’s so funny is that I remember so much of what you said verbatim as I rewatch so your videos.
