- I had a customer call me one night with a KZ1000 for sale with a bunch of parts. On a cold winter night my son and a friend and I went down to see what this was all about. We started looking through the stuff and found there were almost enough parts to build two bikes. So we struck a deal and discovered drywall buckets outside, full of parts encased in ice. We just had to take on the challenge of building the Pit Bull Rescue as it came with a title and we hate to see them go into the ground. These bikes are starting to get hard to find. The name "Pit Bull Rescue" came to us as the seller had to put his pit bull dogs away in order for us to come look at the stuff and we waded through the landmines the whole time we were loading the parts. An experience to be remembered!
-I love the Kamikaze KZ1000 because they are one of the best bikes to look at Plus a little on the fast side.
It looks great. Glad you resurrected it. Hopefully it will be kept stock.
Love the sound of those Kerker Competition header exhausts. Nice project bike!

What an impeccable job you've done! Thank you so much! I'm really looking forward to watching a video next time:)
As usual, bike sounds really healthy. Great job.
Love the work you guys do, you're true Z men
your people sure brought that roach back to life!
One other thing Johnny, I never see a 1300 six cylinder, Kaws competition for the Honda's CBX six.
Boy I miss my 79’ KZ1000

Thanks for your vids!
I’m no fan of the LTD style but good save😎
No side covers emblems ?
I wanna "Gooned" Johnny's Vintage Motorcycles embroidered patch for my leather jacket.
That's funny. Maybe we'll come up with a t-shirt design...

So for how much you offer bikes like this?
I want oneeeeeee...
Yep, Suzuki rear wheel. That's weird.
Could you do a Yamaha Fzx750 restore?
Tahir, we're not really set up to do Yamaha, Honda, etc. We have to concentrate on Kawasaki as that's our specialty. We're very back logged on restoration work also. I'm trying to think of someone to send you to.
@@Johnnysvintage thanks! Was just wanting to see you so one up. Great great work btw keep it up!
It was a drag bike
1978 KZ 650sr , very low miles, original tires, starts runs with choke, titled and licensed, I can send pics !! Make offer !
sure we can take a look. Email pics to info@johnnysvintagemotorcycle.com
how much?
It’s on auction right now and the reserve is set for $2500
$2500 reserve? Someone got a fantastic bargain on the '78 KZ1000 PIT BULL RESCUE if one only met the reserve price. Mind you, it is now July, 2022. Worth much more now.
Spent a lot of time on that mutt and in the end its still a mutt
It's annoying when you crack the throttle that many times, and it serves no purpose in my forty years of riding.
sorry about that. We like the sound and we are just having a little fun
@@Johnnysvintage Thank You for your response, and on the flip side you all do a great job restoring bikes. I would love to see restoring some old GoldWings and Valkyries if you can. Even though this may sound strange, I watch you because a buddy of mine died on a 1976 KZ 900 when he couldn't handle the power of the bike and wrapped it around a tree.
