Man built a race engine for a burnout car...I would definitely appreciate something like that thing on an actual racecar, hear that glorious sound across the track! And then you still have nitrous for a little more bump too!
Kevin is a child in a grown man's body, with a couple of really awesome toys, and a heck of a good crew around him. That thing has an animalistic howling scream to it that reminds me of mid 90s restrictor plate Nascar engines.
@@paulboone44444 I agree wholeheartedly, but I'm referencing the childish glee that lights up his face when he is having fun monkeying with some of the more off the wall projects in his shop.
Before I even watch your videos I give them a thumbs up 👍. Your videos are not only entertaining, but very informative. I used to build and drive circle track cars at my local track. Now that I am older and life happens, I am not able to do those things, so watching your videos helps bring back memories and learn some new things along the way. I loved the fabrication and welding side of things. Was never really good at the driving side😂. Thanks for sharing Kevin! Keep up the great videos and I will be here to watch every one of them!
Skip the NOS and run 30% nitro. Nice hp bump, runs cool, smells like danger and it sounds amazing. Please try it one time on the dyno, it would be awesome
Wow, very impressed. 500 pony's on a fairly mild build. Not sure what cam your running but no port work and just a strong bottom end and this baby's making 600 at the crank if its pumping 5 at the wheels. Its a beast. Nice work brother. I have new hope for my LQ9...🤓
when i saw the head phone user warning, i turned it all the way up, didnt regret a thing because i couldnt hear my colleagues the next day at work, thanks kevin
Kevin if you put a vac gauge or sensor on the intake pipe you can measure the pressure drop to judge the intake pipe and filter restriction. If there's little to no drop there's no sense in pulling the filter or going bigger :)
I know from running Derby cars in the past that sending the heat up and out was better than letting it go down.. headers up!! I am curious though how much it heats up that intake?
Kevin, I have a routing setup for the crank, alternator and PS without tensioner or water pump that are low mounted on the driver side if you’re interested. It’s basically a L76 alt/PS mount with an idler and the crank. I turned it to 8300 and never had an issue.
Sweet sounding rig. You need to hook up with Fonzie at DYC and have him throw wild colors at it. I think you should also do the flame thrower cut out kit where it shoots flames out the exhaust. That would definitely be a killer hit at the show.
Kevin, it's not like an electric water pump is magical, it's just going make the alternator draw more torque, the power to run it has to come from *somewhere* 😂
Have you ever thought about making a megaphone tip on your header? If you are wanting to make it stand out sound wise, a megaphone would make it even louder!
Kevin, I learned something new about the Dodge Viper earlier today, although you've probably seen it many times. Daffy Duck is on every Viper if you look at the Viper badge upside down.
No, as stated in the video, the belt was back on for the BTR intake test, then at the end of the video, we show the power gain from removing the belt driving the water pump.
@@KSRPerformanceFabrication Sorry, I was still watching when I asked that, and then saw that you said you removed the belt for the next run. Good stuff. Very impressive to make 500 to the wheels with a 6.0.

Stick shift at 9,700 shift point all day
Its all stock with a fity shot of nos

Brains help, he is definitely no dummy ❤

Scouter explodes.
Ive never seen a level so high!!!
Got a Lexus sounding like NASCAR!!!!!
Holy COW!!! Dang amazing sound at 9K!! And NA 500.57 HP...That's a race engine!! Good luck at LS Fest!! Thanks for the video!!
I remember watching an episode of engine Masters and they said a water pump could be worth 10 to 15 hp. That’s awesome to see it.
I've said before, and I'll say it again...that combo is the only LS I've ever heard that I like the sound of!
Expecting we will see a new wrap or paint next week. Paint I think, since you are not sure if it will work out in time. Sounds so good!
I can't speak for everyone, but I'm loving these extreme close-ups.
😂😂😂
Almost let's you see the thoughts in his head right through his eye.

Man, what a glorious sound! Excellent work Kevin and crew! Its always great when a KSR vid pops up on my feed.
Imagine that Car screaming through the traps at 9K RPM, Hell yeah.
Thank you Kevin for all ......... all the awesome content. Be well everyone!!
Hope to see you at LS fest!
when i saw the head phone user warning, i turned it all the way up, didnt regret a thing because i couldnt hear my colleagues the next day at work, thanks kevin
Sounding like a nascar. I love it
Almost sounding like the good ol days of the unrestricted Nascar Cup cars in there!
Wow! 500.57 HP! Awesome! Your Neighbors at the shop must love racing too!
Oh hell, yeah brother more horsepower and Dino videos let’s go🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️
Thanks for taking the time to share your troubles and results with us.

Awesome stuff, just finished watching the other video
That thing needs a turbo! Everything needs a turbo! I bought your shirt that says that… no turbo.. no good.
nah on this one it would muffle and change the sound so much it's not worth it
Yes but sound does not make you fast…
@shawnrinkel8377 the coolest builds aren't about going fast bud
lol your funny. Sure bud
OVER 9000!!!

Sounds amazing! Love the chase for 500hp... 🤣
500 wheel HP on engine alone is amazing, GREAT job Kevin and Ricky!!
Z30 back up💪🏻 sounds amazing brother
She is a screamer!
Sweet sounds up top.
For those complaining about your custom headers you can just say "My! My race car! Don't like it? Build your own!" Grats on 500!
Twisting big R’s!
I love that header 9213
Thank you for the video. Sooooooo many videos this week. Glad you got to 500.well done boys
Your excitement is contagious! Always great work and success!
Revved to the frickin moon!!
Take apart the waterpump and get off pump wheel so the elektic pump can easy pump water around the engine
500 n/a wheel hp from a not large engine, impressive, sound at 9,112 rippums was glorious. My sound expert bird approved.
Wow! That thing can sure sing soprano.
I know that screaming beauty isn't a show car, but can we throw some Scooby snacks at Sam to polish those headlights?
What a rocket..... real hp at the wheels 500hp damn.😮😊
Take that all you 6 banger lovers !!!
The engine with the new intake made ALL THE rpm. I'm pretty sure about that! 😁🤘
The best video by far thanks Kevin
Look out Cosworth KSR is coming for you. Haha. That sounds awesome
Go Baby. Good one Clay
Now Im spoiled. KSR at work while im at work. I absolutely love it.
Smash that like button for Kevins content.
Best sounding LS EVER!
Firing up the nice speakers for this one
Nice work Kevin!
Can't wait to see this thing Saturday
Sounds awesome!
500!!! AWESOME 👍👌👍
Great content thanks for sharing
This is awesome! Best sounding Lexus period. Random question, what's the scoop on the green and blue Camaros in the background?
I keep looking at both of those and wonder what’s up with them, part of Kevin’s hoard? Or is he storing them for someone?
Sounds so nice
so, 400-450hp makes a great burnout car, 500 + Nitrous = BatScat Crazy Burnout Car. Got it, thanks, Kev!
Crazy what a few hundred rpm does to the sound. Sucker was screaming 😂

I love BTR!
Crazy how quickly you can get that header off… I’ve got an ls swap RX-7 and it’s a real pain!
Hi guys love you all 💕💕
Finally getting this car wrapped or painted 🎉
It deserves it lol
Damn good job Kevin
It's over 9000!
KSR FTW
Id call it 525 at the crank all motor plus change the oil after those pulls
Tickled 9100
all yall wearing the same shirt :D was that planned?? Car's rowdy, Kevin!!
Little tip use a heat gun on the paint it crinkles better
You should try some insulation between the intake and headers to keep Intake temperature down
Loud pipes save lives.
Takes me back to running out BBC mod tractor up to 9200-9500 :)
That should be on a race circuit where the sound bounces off the surrounding mountains.
Buff those headlights out Kevin!
You said fire it up and I fired it up now I forgot what I was doing lol😂
I was so damn close!!!! 🤦🏻♂️

Yep, lol!
🔥
Congratulations guys 😅 now your up around F1 and Indy cat RPM. Although F1 used to be close to 20,000 RPM 😮
Always something. Custom means thinkering. All it takes is more time, and money. The more thinkering, the less money tho.
Everyone scared to turn rpm kevs out here wringing it over 9000!!! Who needs a solid roller 🤣
9300rpm!!!!
Impressive

I think it's time to add Soccer Mom sliding down the track sideways to the intro. Lol
I agree, that’s a little project I make do soon!
33.5* of timing?! That's nuts, never would have guessed it would make better power with that much
Prettt sure it’s on 110 octane
