Omg! Thank u! I dont see the articles online talking about what happens when sap goes into the oven. Thank u! I did u vinegar and hot water bath and buy, the dirt never stopped rinsing off haha. mine pinecones are tighter and narrower than urs tho. Thx Going to use mines for a garland and a craft party for my besties!

Great tip, but I had to keep mine in the oven for at least an hour, because there was so much sap on them. So I wouldn’t go by her 30 minutes. Just keep checking yours to make sure the sap has melted off all of them! 🤗
Great question. No, this baking method melts the sap off and hardens the remaining sap so they are no longer sticky. I would try a few first to be sure, but that was my experience. Good luck and thank you for watching!

Are they no longer sticky? You said the sap baked onto them so did it harden? If children are handling these pine cones will they get sappy?
