So glad you mentioned Come Taste The Band which, to this day, remains my favourite D.P. album. I remember being castigated as a philistine for my opinion on the album but was vindicated by the scribe Geoff Barton who gave it 10/10 in a Classic Rock review when the 35th anniversary edition was released.

Ah Geoff Barton I remember his reviews way back. yes the soulfulness of the playing on Come Taste is what sets it apart for me,Bolin, Hughes and Coverdale add that extra special ingredient. 🏆

I am with you on Rush and as huge a fan I am they did lose it after Signals. Hemispheres, Kings any one you could have picked. Need to get right with God, tore up a couple Bibles in past year. Just don't get it, but I know someone is out there and better hedge my bets and get right. Will check out Gary Moore LP, got all the Thin Lizzy, man what a band. In the USA in the 70's all we heard ways Jailbreak and boys are back in town and no other tunes. Once I bought one album in the 2000's, I got them all. I think they are all awesome.

Thin Lizzy yes great great band. Moore did some collabs with Lynott a few years later in 80 s Anyway Rush : epic band in all ways I agree. Faith wise I was away for 30 years but very grateful I came to my senses. Best wishes and happy listening. Yr top ten at all?

Simon, I quit listening to AC-DC for the exact same reason.

Well done. If you want blood the track is particularly bad on Highway to H Lp. A year later after it was released Bon S was dead. People mock the Lord at their peril

@@SimonMackUK77congrats on finding the light … lots of bands even not overtly satanic like AC/DC are still ocult and or Satanic

@@gringoloco4 Thks for yr input. Yes all too true. Love rock music and some metal but...the dark stuff had to go. Pop music more and more also sadly ,as you say: in subtle and not so subtle ways
